My bedroom window is at the foot of my bed and is 12 feet above the ground, I can’t shake the idea of waking up to the silhouette of Gru staring at me through my window.
To be fair, the speed is very much questionable because the missiles aren't known as some specific real life model, but a custom so you cannot just guesstimate the speed, you could probably spend a great amount of effort to get the speed of the missile using pixel measurements just like with height, correcting for distance from camera etc.

You could use the speed that gru falls and the width of the missile to find the distance he falls. Then using the speed of the slowdown find how fast the missiles and the speed of gru is.
Also use the speed a normal object falls in another scene for the gravity of the world. Use multiple for most accurate results.
Also find a object that’s sized the same everywhere. For example a street sign. Then use that to accurately find the height of gru instead of estimations.
yah know it's entirely possible those missiles are supersonic and they just didn't bother adding the boom
ok so I did some digging the most sensitive passive ir guided missile(heat seeking) is the fim 92 stinger
it travels at a speed of mach 2.54
now why the stinger missile? because in theory early prototypes could lock low level heat sources like humans on the ground even though it's an aa weapon
in the movie the missiles are heat seeking and lock to him.
since the stinger is the closest reference we and gru seems to equal or exceed the speed of the missiles we must assume that gru is moving at near mach 2.54

I think the minions' heights are very exaggerated.
Especially considering that normal people in that universe appear 3/4 to 4/5 the height of Gru. He's still a massive absolute unit, but normal people tend to reach his shoulder or chest.
So either the minions are considerably shorter, the measurement system of that universe is very skewed, or 10 ft is the norm.
Or there’s a couple of extreme outliers dragging up Minion average size, kicking and screaming, skyward.
the fact that he can also withstand the insane amount of energy produced by the subsonic missiles and move past them makes it even easier to determine that gru is god

So one small problem: Minions seem to generally come in two sizes. There's the short minion you used to measure Gru, and the slightly taller one that seems a bit less common. If the "average minion" is 3.5 ft, then this is somewhere in between the short and tall minion, which means the short minion used to measure Gru is slightly less than 3.5 feet.

What if I told you that I know one *other character* where said character rotated THE STARS, IN MULTIPLE AREAS... This other character in question while he has a non intimidating frame is FAR more broken then Gru could ever fathom and yet size doesn't matter because the dood in question can shrink and still apprehend you with one arm anyways (said character is strong enough to leave one citezen with no visible spine).
In fact said other character I am refering to is beyond smarter. Able to master inventory which can sense many time periods/universes that are also fictional to Nonexistent beings, said other character (funnily enough) ALSO built an entire NASA... But without much resources to go with yet he builds marvel's where he can make Non technological objects fly, to extremely durable ships like if they fall are unscathed like nothing, plus he upscales to his --own Minions-- Co-workers who taught the said worker how to replace Saturn's rings *with new ones... This happened...*
And the Moon feat is sadly not as impressive when you really think of it. The Shrink Rays purposes is to reduce things *ALL THE WAY* other wise the Moon wouldn't even be able to be on Vectors ship when he took off because of the sheer ass weight, hell it was even on a Coffee cup! So the argument is fully void as the weight is as miniscule. It only wasn't until the Moons growth that it weighed down a lot of course, but Vector surviving the crushing of an object so heavy that it tilted *his entire ship... Multiple times (His ship is nearly half the size of the pyramid)* IS still impressive and its worthy of a Durability calc tbh as Gru is debatably stronger then Vector.
