- Biology Professor (Twitter: @DrWhitneyHolden) reviews hypersensitivities, spending a few minutes on each of the four different types of hypersensitivity, including those that are cell-mediated (delayed) and antibody-mediated.
This channel also has a video on TYPE 5 HYPERSENSITIVITY if you want to check it out here: • Type 5 Hypersensitivity
My 70 powerpoints transformed into a 11 mins video. Thank you so much professor.
Happy to help :)
Thank you! This helped a lot to narrow down all of the nitty gritty information into something understandable.
I am taking Patho right now and found your video and let me just say that you are going to help me remember the 4 types of hypersensitivity. Thank you! This is a great video for visual learners like myself!
beautiful video. GOD bless you. the fact that you were able to make it this simple confirms that you actually know the stuff. unlike those complexity loving professors that makes lives of knowledge seekers hell on earth. this lady actually made me love the hypersensitivity reactions
very straight to the point and simple. thank you!
Helo?
I hope your life is going well for you Daniella.
This was really helpful, thank you so much! I especially liked that the key-words weren't written in, so I could check what I remembered.
The self-confidence is really expressed in your face, that's a sign of a good Teacher.
Thank you! My confidence in my teaching has definitely improved with practice. :)
I agree👌🔥
I had never seen such a good video before for hypersensitivity
Muhammad bin tuglak.
Thank you for explaining that so simply. You are a wonderful teacher!
Hi
Your presentation is very concise and hit to the point. I love it.
This was very helpful for numerous reasons. My professor never really slowed down to re-iterate the simple things such as "IgG and IgM recognizing antigens on cell surfaces." This really helped to simplify the 4 steps of hypersensitivity and my poor understanding of immunology in general.
Glad to help!
Here’s another immunology video that might help you. It’s over antibody structure and function. czcams.com/video/a-gmb2avW38/video.html
This was an excellent video. Thanks for an understandable explanation!
Simplest and best explanation ever. Thank you !!
As someone with food allergies and rh reaction as well as diagnosed antiphospholipid antibody syndrome and a type IV expression of erythema nodosum, I wanted to say thank you for helping me to understand what is breaking down. I now understand why my hematologist suggested I undergo experimental immuno suppressive therapy. It gives me more information to make the appropriate decision to move forward or not.
So
Thank You ❤
Concise and to the point. Really helpful for a medico! Thank you!
Thank you so much for breaking this down. I am so happy I stumbled across your video.

thank you teacher
Thank you 💚
Very useful.
Thank you so much
Great video, very helpful. I have a couple of questions.
1) what causes the "delay" in Type 4 reactions?
2) why do some allergens elicit a Type 1 reaction while others elicit Type 4 reactions?
1) In Type 4 reactions, the delay is caused by the time it takes the immune response to occur. Antigen first has to be taken up, then processed, and then presented by antigen presenting cells. The T helper cells that recognize the antigen are not very numerous in the body and they take some time to arrive. Together, this adds to a bit of delay in immune response.
2) I believe the correct answer is that different kinds of receptors are triggered by different kinds of antigens, resulting in different types of responses.
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuu prof I loved u❤️❤️💋
Next level 😍
