Job looks great man. I own a paver company on the space coast and we offer sealing at the time of installation. I've been in the game for 16 years now. My only suggestion is to invest in a better sprayer. SMK and Seal-n-Lock makes one that fits on top of a 5 gallon bucket, 25ft hose and 20v dewalt battery. Game changer. Keep up with the good work man.
Hey thanks brother. Yea I made a 12v pump cart for sealing. Haven't had the chance to make the video of it. I've seen those lids too I think I may build one cause of the storage advantage of them.
What company? I am a foreman on a landscape/paver company. My crew does the demo for the paver install crew and then we also do the hardscape install stuff like paver edging for landscape border. I’m in the space coast. Melbourne. But I live in PSJ
I’m going to attempt to pressure wash and re-sand her driveway. As far as the sealing goes does a regular pump sprayer from ace work and also do I need to look into getting a specific tip to attach to the pump sprayer wand? What ratio or brand sealing should I use for a shine wet look. How long does my grandma need to not walk on or drive her car after I’ve finished the sealing of her pavers?
Best video on paver sealing on CZcams. Great idea to have Jose training while you explained the process; it gives us, the viewers, the feel of us actually being trained. Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks Clifford for another informative video. You do truly great work. I also like Jose’s, humble learning vibe. Good luck to you both.
Thank you. Yes Jose is great he was soaking it all in. He's ready to rock out now.
Great video brother, Love that you are willing to teach others starting out in the industry. We need more people like you not only in the industry but in this world. Keep them videos coming, and God bless.
Thanks a lot for the kind words
Mate this video is excellent! Really appreciate your team’s work ethic and attention to detail! Respect ✊
Thank you for the feedback
Awesome video. Love learning from people who dont complicate things.
Thanks a lot
Thank you Sir for responding back. Will definitely get that sealer you use. Probably going to need 4 to 5 gallons. That’s ok. I am also thinking about getting one of those scrubbers too. Or rent one when it is time to clean them again. Thanks for the 20/30 sand suggestion too. Just need sand that locks fast and keeps the mold off the pavers. We have a Forrest in our back yard.
I will be looking forward to you next video. I had my house soft washed as well. So elated I found your site.
Thanks a again and keep keep up the great work.
Also think about coming up North and train these folks up here🙂
Take care and have a great week.

No problem. 5 gallons will cover roughly 900-1000 square feet depending on how heavy its sprayed. Thank you for watching and the interaction.
A1 as always! Thank you for you content and time Cliff!

Appreciate the video bro! Never done a sealing before.
Very easy brother. I was afraid of doing it in the beginning but it's quite simple as you see. Minimal equipment is needed and the water based sealer is easy to handle.

@@penniblakeman9541 unfortunately I don't. 😩😩
Great job my brother! Been needing a video like this. Couple questions... How much sand and seal did you end up using? And did you apply while the pavers were wet still?
Thank you. I used about 1.5 bags of sand and 5 gallons of sealer this job. I waited for the pavers to dry some and I used to blower to help them dry faster. Using the silicast you dont have to wait until theyre completely dry thats why I love it. I can knock out a job all in few hours.
Very nice job
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey Cliff! How long should you wait to apply the second coat of sealer?
Typically around 1hr. It will feel tacky under your feet cause the 1st coat will be drying still.
hey big guy love it had one just lije this in yonkers new york last year keep them coming spring 55 day s away
Hey Al! Stay warm up there my brother
Did the Trident training today in Clermont. Man we have to link up sometime soon my guy!
Those guys are great. I seen their work too 💪🏾
Man, the training was the shiznit. We did the cobbleloc last week. Actually both products are a win I guess in the end comes down to feeling out the customer. Looking forward to getting some of that work. In the process of ordering my “Paver Sealing” signs tonight. Keep up the great content & I will damn sure keep supporting the movement!
I have a new patio and the sand keeps washing out. Very frustrating. Didn’t know it had to be sealed. What type of sealer do you use? Thanks.
Deco products silicast
Great Video! Thank you for taking the time to explain the process. I’m building a house in South Sarasota that we are closing on next month. Pavers just got installed and sanded so it will be all new and looking to seal them to avoid ants and mold (in backyard Lanai with a pool). Do you think I can do it myself? I have a pressure washer (if needed). Would I need to pressure wash and all even if it’s a brand new house with new pavers just installed few days ago wirh sand still around them since they usually pressure wash all pavers few days before closing. Appreciate it
Yes you certainly can do it yourself. You wouldn't need to clean the pavers since they'll be new. Just use a blower go get the dust and anything on top of the pavers. They're already sanded so that's an added bonus for you.
For sealer I'd suggest a eater based sealer so you're able to spray it with a pump up sprayer. Do not buy sealer from home depot or that BEHR stuff lol
@@PinkFlamingoPowerWash thank you so much. Any brand in particular I should get? Looking for a more natural look instead of the shinny/wet look 😂

Nice work. What brand sealer do you guys use? I'd look into getting a 12v bucket sprayer instead of the pump. Just a suggestion. Thanks for sharing the video
Deco products silicast. Welcome to the channel. This is an old video. On this channel you'll notice I have all the bells and whistles. 12v sprayer cart, pump up sprayer and 20v backpack sprayer. This is is showing it can be done with a pump up sprayer not which way is better or faster. Thanks for stopping by hope you enjoy the other content. Check the paver sealing Playlist out on my channel
Getting it my dude!! Appreciate the content. Question if I have a full dedicated soft washing machine 12v blend system and a 5.5 gpm pressure washer when would I down stream vs using my softwash system and why?
I mainly use my soft wash system for rooms. The advantages of downstreaming is u use 1 hose for application and rinsing. The downside is if you don't rinse out your hose thoroughly you risk blowing hoses cause they will deteriorate. Using the softwash system u gotta pull out an extra hose and a big advantage of dialing in a hotter mix if you needed to.
Bro appreciate the knowledge. #teamplayer
Great job 👏🏽 Big Bruh, this is the video that I’ve been waiting on!! The sand & seal!! Thanks you sir, where do you buy your Products from especially your sand??
I told ya I had one coming!
I buy here locally bit they may have vendors another places.
Beautiful.
No backrolling or anti-skid additive?
No sir. It's not needed with that product.
Great video man, what brand sealer do you use? Want to give this a try!
Deco products silicast! Shoot them an email or call them for your nearest distributor.
thanks for your video. when you were pretreating the pavers what was the 3% mix that you are using?
Nah I do a 5% to pre treat those.
Hey Cliff, After watching your video I decided to add paver sealing to my business, thanks Bro (really good profit). I did a driveway that came out looking really nice. The only thing that I noticed was that it was raining like a week later when I went to pick up my sign at his house and the water was rolling off the pavers but it was kind of slippery. The customer never said anything, it was just something that I noticed with the silicast.
The silicast is their version of the wet look sealer. So if anything when it's wet it's probably more shinier. It's definitely not slippery that's another aspect that I like about the product.
Cliff love your videos! I'm up here in NWFL, can I ask what you charge per sqft for pavers as it's pretty involved? Thanks brother!
To seal $1-1.25 a sq ft is a good start 👌
What solution do you use for the sidewalk and pavers ? Thanks 🙏
SH is fine for that
If you don't mind me asking, what brand of sealer or what sealer product are you using?
Sure. I show that in the video.
Do you normally apply 2 coats or just because you have some left ?…. What sealer did you use?
Typically yes 2 coats. Unless they're high quality pavers which aren't as porous. The sealer name is disclosed within 2 min the video my man.
Heck ya great work
how much horse power does my pressure washer need to have in order to work the surface scrubber?
It's all about GPM. Higher GPM bigger surface cleaner it will operate. If u get a little home depot 2.5gpm you'll be able to use a 12" 16" surface cleaner. If you have a 8gpm you can push a 32" surface cleaner
What's the most cost efficient concrete sealer ? Or what do you use
I announced what I used. But as far as a cheap sealer I'm not completely sure since I've never tried anything else except deco products stuff
Thanks for this man! Does this treatment pose a problem to surface cleaning, or can you run a surface cleaner over it in the future?
Yes you can surface clean it. Only way to remove sealer is by using a paver sealer stripper.
Hey man! Great videos, I’m doing a job coming up where they have 2000sqf concrete driveway they want cleaned, stained and sealed. Anyway you could walk me through the most efficient way to do it. What cleaners do you recommend for etching, staining and sealing? I appreciate you!
Hey brother. I'm not gonna steer you wrong. I've never done a concrete driveway sealing. So far I've only done paver sealing.
@@PinkFlamingoPowerWash no worries my man! Thanks for being honest. I’ve been watching you a lot and learning a lot from you. Thank you!
Is there any alternative to SH when cleaning the pavers? I have a potential job that's next to a river
Maybe a peroxide derived cleaner. I don't ever use that stuff though.
What pressure or what tips are you running on the surface cleaner?
With the 8gpm I got. I use 25045 tips
Do you recommend a non wet finish? I have 2 customers looking to get a matte finish on their pavers, been looking at Deco, recommendations ? Thank you
Yes I do! I recommend the natural enhancer sealer rather than the wet look. But it's up to the customer
Great video. And its Go Bucs btw.
Here we go lol 😆 😈😈
Man I live these vids bro! Would you disclose the brand and type of sealers you use? Is there a difference in sands or do you always use the same?
I used deco products thats the brand. The sealers is called silicast. I uses the polymeric sand
@@PinkFlamingoPowerWash thanks bro! Tampa native here living up in Gainesville! Props to ya
Hey...Great work..What type of joint sand do you use?
Thanks. I use Silica sand.
I just dry fit the pavers to see how it looks. I'll have to pull them up and add more paver base. (my 1st brick task) so after sand just get the wet look with sealer let it dry ?
Yes after sanding the pavers just seal them with 2 coats. Idk which sealer you're using I can't speak for other brands as I've only used the brand you see on the video.
Great video! Approximately how many man hours does this size of driveway take to complete from start to finish?
Give or take 5hrs total including dry time (2hrs)
I used the same sealer recently on my patio pavers. I’m coming up on 48 hours almost and it’s still tacky, it is fully covered and the pavers only get sun exposure in late afternoon. Anyways! Will the tacky ness go away? Not sure what I did wrong if anything
If its tacky after 48 hrs its probably not dried. Is it a covered patio? Did you let the pavers completely dry before sealing them? A recourse you could try is to add a box fan to aid speeding up the drying. But yes it will go away.
hi have you sealed water based sealer or solvent based sealer?
Water based sealer
Love the music
Thank you.
How do you keep the sealer spray out of a pool when the deck is pavers? Our pool and pavers were completed in September, but the pavers have not been sealed.
It's not going to hurt the pool. The sealer isn't being sprayed in the pool. A little overspray may get in there but it's so small that a pool with thousands of chlorinated water won't be affected.
Do you charge by the sq ft or time and material?
For paver sealing I charge by the square footage. It's a luxury service so it's not cheap at all.
Nice job man, what was the dry time between coats on that first driveway you guys sealed???
About 45 mins
@@PinkFlamingoPowerWash thanks brother
What’s you guys mile radius to do a seal on a new construction home? I’m locked in Deland Florida about 40 minutes east of Orlando off i4.
I personally don't travel out that far but try miracle pressure washing in Orlando or Parsons Pressure Washing. They're closer to that area.
Appreciate the response. I’ll research them. Thanks for recommendation. I’ll let them know you sent me.
Great video! Curious why you didn’t use a polymer type sand? Thanks!
Cause It's a pain to use and also not a necessity for Florida climate
What is the going rate per sqft for a job like this? Great content.
In my market $1-1.50 a sq ft
How long does that sealer last? How do you price? Thanks for another amazing video.
2 years or so. Depending on weather. Price per square ft
Thanks so much for your videos, bro! I wanted to ask, what sealer do you use, and what is the 20/30 sand suggestion? I was reading one of the comments, but I didn't get to see the previous comment you made.
I use deco products sealers. And silica sand is the sand. The sand I use is not widely sold so any silica sand will be fine.
@@PinkFlamingoPowerWash thank you for sharing the knowledge
I know you probably get alot of people as you. But what type of surface cleaner do you use and how many gpm is your pressure machine??
8gpm and a 20 inch Mi-T-M surface cleaner

@@PinkFlamingoPowerWash No worries. We're moving to St. Cloud from Las Vegas in December and the paver driveway needs reconditioning. With your video instruction I can probably do it myself but nothing beats a pro. Thanks Clifford.

@@PinkFlamingoPowerWash Thankss
I’ve been told I should use polymeric sand instead of regular sand. Does someone have any experience with that?
Its just another option of sand. There's no right or wrong answer. It all depends on your climate and also if you have loose pavers.
How much was the lanai upsell cost and did you use SH to clean it?
$250 and yes we did use SH.
Do you have to sand it if it’s not bad or can I just seal it
Nope. Just move right to sealing
Can you use SH on pavers if they have a painted wood border? Will it affect the paint?
Sh doesn't affect paint unless you're getting it on organic paint or being careless by applying hot mixes or not rinsing thoroughly
@@PinkFlamingoPowerWash ok cool. I'm kinda nervous. I'm doing my first job Monday. You videos help a lot 👍🏽
After you misted the pavers and then blew dry them off, how long did it roughly take to dry?
15 mins or so. With this sealer it's doesn't have to be bone dry. Thats why I love it too
@@PinkFlamingoPowerWash so if like there a little wet or spotty with water you can still seal? Basically just want the puddles off?
@@Stwarrior23 I would get it as dry as possible.
What the sealer you used? You showed the sand but not the sealer
at around 1:30 on the video i said what we used. Deco Products Silicast but i mixed it with another deco products sealer called travacast to bring a little more shine to the pavers. I normally dont mix them, in fact this was the only video I actually mixed the 2.
The manufacturer actually is testing mixing those 2 products themselves as we speak. So who knows maybe in the future I will be using that too.
Just starting up. Whats the solution you use to pre-treat. I just got a job with those exact pavers.
Pool Chlorine and water
how long after the final rinse of the sand on the driveway did you start the sealing. How much does the wetness of the driveway matter when sealing?
I wait at least 2 hours. And it's hard to say how wet it can be. It doesn't have to be bone dry but you don't want to seal over standing water or high moisture spots.
@@PinkFlamingoPowerWash okay gotcha. Got a paver sealing and sanding job next tuesday and just trying to figure out the steps and how long to let things dry between steps
@@UnFouRMaL no problem

Will sealing prevent rain from soaking through to the basement? I never have water In my basement until I ripped up the grass and put in pavers But I noticed he didn't seal it
To the basement? That I'm not sure about. Sealing is supposed to repel the water and make it run off the pavers rather than penetrating the pavers.
