Pretty sure that Psycho guy clocked on pretty early that the Solider was cheating considering how their entire playstyle evolved, then notice how the bastion would also always target the Soldier first. Pretty sure that sequence at 15:00 onwards is the Sombra pinging the Soldier because you see that grenade landing very nearby. I can almost imagine the comms "Ok guys I'm gonna run past them and stand still right here. If he shoots me it confirms he's a bot."
Bet that player's a former tf2 spy main because that's the oldest and easiest way to tell for cheaters in that game lol.
Yeah pretty sure the Sombra was just trying to make it as blatantly obvious as possible the solider was cheating in case someone actually checks the replay when it's reported.

Its astounding to me that they can figure out how to download and install cheats for aimbot but they cant learn something as simple as "if u press this button, soldier run fast"

As a programmer, I am fairly certain that the bastion non-turret form head hitbox is still there, is just disabled while turret form is active. My bet is that both hit models are present, but one is disabled while the other is active.
It's on his back, when he's configured... you just have to be behind him and actually hit it, unlike this guy
I get it. Easier for the animation if both configurations are active but an extra line of code or such destinations the primary hitbox

@@TheChryystal He's saying that both Bastion's turret and standing hitboxes are always attached to him. When you change forms it just switches which one is turned on. This guy's aimbot doesn't take that into account and so it's always going for the standing hitbox.

Maybe it's just me but after 2 years of playing and being enraged by watching the kill cam, I've turned it off. I like knowing what happening when I'm sent to spawn, (on console, but they need to make things less combo button to switch POV's. lol ) it really helps me, with figuring out where the enemy is positioned as close as possible when I come back, you know?
They are pretty good though since hacks are hard to install

Honestly something people should do is if someone’s suspected of cheating, one of the opposing teams dps switches to sombra because you can’t find her when she’s invis unless she runs really close and if she dies they most likely are a cheater.

Two things I noticed.
1) They seem to be physically looking down at their ability cooldowns and/or which button they're on before they use them.
2) They seem to think Sprint has a cooldown.
Honestly i really wonder how a cheater that actually knows proper tech and is good at the game in general would look like
The last widow one, I think, was in master or diamond and they actually hid it very well for a little bit till they got tilted and spin boted
That widow was a boosted low plat-Gold player and if they know the mechanics well enough they won’t need cheats
If you were good you wouldn't use cheats, there are plenty of options in the game for people who all they lack is aim, like rein, mercy ect. Plus you need to invest a lot of time into the game to get good, so why would you throw it away with cheats?
There's examples in other games at least, Riolu was caught as a cheater in Trackmania who *was* good enough to set world records on streams but then cheated off-camera to pad his records because it was the faster and easier method (presumably, he never admitted to it so we don't know his logic).
I think in competitive FPS the ones who would have good game sense and skills but lack the aim would rather practice it than use an aimbot or the like; there's probably a few anyway but I'd at least like to imagine that if they put in enough work on the non-mechanical skills, they'd have the pride (or at least fear of getting banned) to not want to patch up their weaker skills with cheats. But who knows, probably the ones that do would justify it _because_ they have game sense and think "it's fine, I'm only using the cheats to even the playing field against players who were blessed with better reflexes than I can have" or the like.

Highly doubt fixing their anti cheat program is their top priority so soon after the OW PVE news last week and the news I heard from Samito earlier today about the Cease and Desist.

They only just recently threatened and won against a group that openly developed hacks for OW. They even responded to blizzard/ overwatch once saying they'll come up with ways hacks can't be identified.

It amazes me how simple some of y'all think detecting cheats is.
Is it obvious to a human eye? Probably, yeah.
But you can't exactly expect a company to hire what, a hundred or so people *just to watch people reported as cheaters*.
Yeah sure, you can train AI for it. But AI isn't foolproof either and takes time to develop, test and release. Even then, I'd never let an AI based system ban people without verification.

For those that are curious, this aimbot uses the character pins instead of the hitbox, hence why sometimes it will aim above a bastion or Ana

Literally experienced a player cheating with Soldier while playing Sombra. He was tracking me through walls and would pop around a corner immediately rocketing me when I was invisible.
I had this happen against a Mei several times in one match as Sombra. It got ridiculous since there was no way she just was detecting me around corners and walls with 20 foot ice shots as soon as I even stepped out 😂

7:48 This actually happens to me on console with immortality field, where ptobably aim assist will force your crosshair slightly above the actual hit box of the disc so you miss all your shots. You have to force your aim down as it’s being forced up the immortality field by the aim assist in order to actually do any damage to it. I don’t know why, it’s weird.

We had a soldier like this in one of my games on the enemy team. He was called out within like 1-2 minutes. There was a discussion in chat to draw, but the enemy team was so sweaty for the win that they weren’t having it. Only like 1 of the enemy tried to just sit in spawn and draw.

I just played a competitive deathmatch yesterday in kanezaka. There was a Reaper who had some really weird and sudden flicks, but the thing is, all his kills were bodyshots. Idk whether he was cheating or not, but those killcams were entertaining

Props to the Kiri who posted the replay, despite them saving the Soldier a bunch. Definitely seems like the best player on the team bailing the Soldier out, playing high ground to avoid the Junkrat/Bastion spam, contesting the backcap and paying attention when they ran into the invis sombra. They were also chill to the Sombra, so they knew what she was up to and didn't just have blinders on. Defnitely a bit of a SR fiend cause she was still pocketing soldier after that, but OW2 ranked does strange things to people.

i think what happened with the bastion is the aimbot is looking for where the head usually is when he's standing up but because he's in turret he's shorter and his crit hitbox is at the back.

With the thing where he shoots the tank mode Bastion but just shoots above him. I’m willing to bet his cheats are able to detect which hero they are aiming at and adjust headshot height accordingly, BUT the cheats aren’t programmed to detect or compensate for Bastion’s tank form so he is firing at what would be head level, but instead shoots way above the Bastion.

It's rare to see fair draws in gold. I was grinding after the good old bronze 5 placement. One of my games half the enemy team left and I said lets draw and two partied team members started flaming me for 'throwing' a 5v3. I just sat the game out in spawn discussing it in chat with the guy flaming me taking myself and basically him out of the game. Sadly still resulted in a win

Yeah he is, and most of the other unlocked DPS aren’t very good for hacks. Reaper, Pharah, Tracer, I think Torb? Widow is unlocked I’m pretty sure but that’s about it
But if it’s a brand new account then they shouldn’t have comp, which means they had to unlock comp first and by that point they would already have Cassidy and Ashe, so idk why they wouldn’t pick those instead

if you pay for your game (ow1) you might as well pay for your cheats. if you can download a game for free (ow2) you are probably not spending money on cheats eather. and as cheap or free cheats are worse than payed ones it seems like the cheats are getting worse.
at least thats my theory on it.

@@unfortunatedisgrace246 In ow1 there were only a few people who knew how to make cheats. This meant high prices but also high quality cheats. Since the launch of ow2 many more developers became interested and started reversing the game which lead to an increase in publicly available information about the game engine and how to cheat. Now there are many bad developers who copy paste bad cheats and sell them cheap.
Maybe it also helps that blizzard has a actual anti cheat thing now and they reverse engineer the cheats to make them easier to detect.

the thing about drawing matches with cheaters is that if they get caught by the players like 50% of the time and every time they get caught its a draw and they play like 15 matches a day they wont climb the ranks quickly which will motivate them to play more and by doing so they get caught faster.
I suspect that those times when the cheater's "lookin' at demons" are probably moments when the game's anticheat is kicking in, putting an invisible character model nearby the player and then monitoring the reaction. If a player flicks to the invisible "fake player", they get flagged, and if it happens enough times (across multiple games) they either get marked for manual review or get auto-banned. I've seen similar systems in other games, it's a pretty clever trick.

8:30 LOOOL not only is his aimbot aiming at a ghost target, it looks like he's trying to correct it himself by hitting the lower hit box but the cheat won't let him!
when he locked onto the bastion near 6:00 his cheats were locking onto non sentry bastion's head instead of sentry bastion's body
at 9:47 it's not even the bastion hitbox. He's shooting the person behimd the wall, and that is priceless

The aimbot on the bastion tank is likely due to it being an old cheat. Doesn't register that the head hitbox doesn't exist, so it ends up shooting air where the head would be if in sentry mode.

@@bugfriendz It seems like one of those cheap hacks that doesnt actually decrypt the component system but does some simple signature scans to get enemy locations instead. If thats the case the developer probably just set the same target height for all heroes so thats where the cheat aims. That also explains why it doesnt always headshot, the pre defined height isnt the actual head height of many heroes. The program cant identify when bastion is in turret mode because it has no access to that information.
@@ssarkos5148 i was thinking about it for a bit since i'd assume hardpoints need to be active for visor and high noon at all times (among other various things). this seems like freeware honestly, the guy didn't even bother to pre-configure the bare essentials. one less hardware to scrape ig
