I remember doing that farm in Arathi during 2019 Classic launch...I felt like such a bad man zooming past most people on my server. Those days were so electric.
The original classic launch was fkn amazing
Appreciate the video. Recently got back into WoW after learning about SoD and leveled a Mage. There's a decent amount of SoD content out there but generally it's surprisingly poor quality, this was definitely one of the exceptions and helped a lot...especially that Arathi farm which I was able to use for a few levels after becoming disheartened by how hard it was to quest after level 30 or so in some zones (especially STV) due to competition from higher-level players completing quests for gold.

Heads up on Arathi Peons/ Go'Shek Farm - your video shows them at like 1.1K/1.2K HP but on live right now they're 1.7K-1.8K HP. This extremely aggressive HP totals for Blizzard to handle at 32.

I went there at 31 and was fine w/ living flame and bomb. Easily doable!
so if we are in a dungeon leveling grp with 2 mages, a tank, healer, and a warrior, would you reccomend both mages go frost? In theory then for every big pull 1 of the mages could use regen and LF + LB, while the other mage imp blizzards to keep them tight

you can farm the worgens on the farm, theyre lvl 26-29 , until you get a couple levels and move to the mines

Shatter works with living bomb according to the tooltip, wouldnt that be better for aoe farming?
Trying to level my mage. Should I go frost, fire, or arcane? I seem to have mana issues constantly with fire.
is there some order for picking talents?
Go'Shek Farm before 34 is aids with the amount of heartbeat breaks and resists on novas
Maybe was way more forgiving when regen rune was in easy-mode
slight issue with these farms or atleast something that makes it a lot harder is when phase 2 launches living flame heals for 20% dmg done instead of 80% dmg done so essentially you will be healing for nothing during aoe farms (especially stockades) just something to consider
Yep patch info came out like 2h after this video. It will still be fine unless you plan on sitting and tanking all the damage. It’ll still be nice for damage and heal top up
Sorry, but this is just not true - The farms are unchanged. 1 most of what he's recommending is farmable using blizzard, same as was done before SOD. 2. The nerf only effects very small AOE pulls that you're face-tanking with living flame; like four mobs. I just tested Stocks and with the nerf each living flame heal ticks for 5 per mob, your bar fills immediately; it feels no different.
Im sorry if there was a misunderstanding i merely meant that if you aren't very good at the game you might need some extra practice now that it is nerfed, since if you previously got hit quite a few times doing the stockades pull it didnt matter cause living flame healed a ton. Now it doesnt do that (hence the just something to consider) part. So im not saying its not doable i personally find all the farms in the video very doable atm im just saying its probably gonna be doable for less people due to skill issues :)@@720zone
I absolutely agree all farms are still very doable, just gotta be a little more careful with how much you facetank now :P great video absolute perfect amount of information about locations, specs etc@@ZeegersTV
do you think frost/imp blizzard will still be the best spec? or do you think just going fire and killing 5-6 mobs with living bomb blast wave will be better faster?
Can pull more with blizzard safely without relying on a 1m living flame cd - I think it’ll still be tried n true but given we don’t know what future runes are who knows. Reality is when we start hitting of the same level mobs, they’ll destroy us if we don’t kill everything within living flame uptime. So again, definitely could but this is what we know currently and I felt like it was necessary to only cover what’s for sure.
the world aoe spots might be cool, but I'm probably only going to be dungeon grinding with a few mages

Ive tried to Aoe farm so many times now and i cant seem to keep my mobs together its just so hard for me i dont know what to do :(
I like this young man. He's very knowledgeable - with a mustache like that you know he's an expert on nearly any subject. Most young people these days just want to play Fortnite so it's refreshing to see some young people that like playing old slow games like in the good old days.
do you have an aoe leveling guide for a new mage leveling?
Im level 23 and I am having issues where I run out of mana before I can finish them off with blizzard and I don't know what I am doing wrong. All of my gear is updated with of the eagle for +stam and INt

Hey im looking to check out the arathi spot, got any vods for me of people farming this?
The VoDs we pulled that footage from were on Classic HC before the SoD launch, so they've expired. HOWEVER, if you check the vid description I just edited in two Twitch Highlights that we had cut for the footage - one video starts at Level 31 and runs 12 minutes long, the other starts at level 37 and runs for 18 minutes. This should give you a better idea of what you're looking to accomplish as you go through the levels at this location.

After stockades is there any dungon that mage can solo farm?
Maybe graveyard depending on personal skill. I could see a couple mages in there clapping cheeks on some pulls.
Any horde on lone Wolfe wanna dungeon grind this weekend. Near bis mage here lol!

Can still be a nice heal as with blizzard you normally take damage just on the pull depending how crazy you went, if you were proficient before then you should still be fine without worrying about heals. It'll still increase the kill speed once every 1m though.
With that said, burnout will be kind of nice for living bomb if you weave that in and decide against regen rune.
I'd still go with living flame though, its going to be damage output every minute.
@@ZeegersTV True. I still plan on using it. It just turned into a mid spell. Haven't thought about other combos. LF was amazing and so fun. Now it's just.... dmg. Kind of boring.

what about wetlands, i don't see anyone doing it since sod, it was quitte a great spot in classic 1.0

Great guide but just like every other one out there it’s alliance focused. Thankfully I’m familiar with the horde spots but it seems I have to look twice as hard to find any content for the baddies 🤷♂️
A lot of these are dual. IE: Gnolls both factions can. Worgens both can. Goshek farm, there's an horde one same zone. I should have probably touched on it though. I rifted this off one evening and mentioned from my POV.

How geared do you need to be for this?
Not much. Just focus on getting eagle gear or anything with stam / int. More of these two stats the better / more mobs you can pull at once!

Living flame IS on the .leg slot though
Fingers of Frost should be better than burnout in this setup -- since FOF combos well with shatter - and none are specific to "frost" spells - it works with the living bomb explosion and once you're 5/5 is well over the 15% crit of burnout.
@@PeejayVoW It 100% depends what were talking about. PVP? Yeah fingers of frost for sure! AOE? If you're actually utilizing living bomb, especially in dungeon AOE, burnout 100%.
All situational. I was specifically talking about AOE pulls utilizing living bomb.
@ZeegersTV so am if. If you're using rank 1 blizzard to proc fingers of Frost with living bomb out, living bomb gains the 50% crit chance from 5/5 shatter on its explosion since neither FoF nor shatter are frost spell specific in SOD. Far outweighs the static 15% from burnout for AoE pulling. There's even a moderate hybrid fire build where you go 0/10/21 and get 5/5 ignite and 5/5 shatter for significant dps at the cost of some survivability- could potentially be the meta for spell cleave groups.
living flame +regen healing is nerfed as of today. regen does 80% less healing for any spell that hurts multiple targets
best of luck getting those spots to yourself during early p2
Yeah it’ll be tough for sure, much like every quest location. Dungeon grinding will be one of the consistent routes imo.

With regeneration, living bomb and living flame, this is no longer the fastest AoE route. No need to wait for Blizzard. And when u get arcane explosion at level 14, it becomes even more faster
All those people trying to quest, whilst gold farmers AoE pull... hmmm
If you wanna stand around and wait for spawns to loot your 8th Pristine Bear Ass, by all means.

Mages tend to level faster than other classes because they slow all other classes down by default by tagging everyone else's mobs. It must be cool to be able to do that, but everyone else is thinking "what a selfish A-hole" 😅
There’s few quests that are in these locations. With that said hate the game, not the player! 😎🤙
You should put "Alliance" in the title. As a horde player this video was of little help.
There’s a spot in arathi for horde too, a camp in the north-north west area. I just didn’t mention it by accident. Only thing alliance exclusive is stockades.

Slander? Jokerd killed it on world first. Brought a lot of eyes onto what mages were capable of. Regardless, layering is insanely strong, and it speeds stuff up. There were no negative mentions toward what layering is & was. TBH I wish you could still hop as fast as before. I did it too. Especially getting into the 40s and 50s layer swapping really starts to shine. Go outside and stop looking for drama where there isn't any.
