Every time you give us a thumbs up a Narwhal gets its horn! (maybe..) - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Join us on THIS FRIDAY, August 26, at 6pm Eastern for our TRIVIA LIVESTREAM!
We have BIG coffee announcements and will be giving away fun prizes!
First how’s you
Oooooo more coffee! Can’t wait!
Love the casting with 1 amendment. Anna Maxwell Martin as Professor Umbridge. For context when she was in Line of Duty (British Police procedural drama) she literally was Umbridge and no lie. Despised by the whole UK. I urge you to pull up clips and you’ll see what I mean
Any ideas for bellatrix
Curses
Band season has begun I'll be busy every friday
I love that idea for Lockhart that he's even lying about being British
Yeah lol
"MY DEAR BOY! Do you really think my books would've sold HALF as much if people didn't think *I* was British?"
- He said in an American southern accent.
@@aprophetofrng9821 oh. I thought he was Australian? He's American?
@@mellowthebear he’s Australian
@@mellowthebear Jason is American, Chris is Aussie
You went one way with Thor as Lockhart. I'll go the other and suggest Tom Hiddleston as Lockhart.
(Just imagine Loki saying "Hardly any of you remember that my favourite colour is lilac")
That is absolutely something loki would say
I think Ewan McGrecor fits perfectly as Lockhart.
Tom Hiddleston as Lupin
@@user-oz3um2ii7o yes!!!
@@user-oz3um2ii7o Did someone also watch Bryan Seeker's videos?
Honestly the one exception to the "brits" rule I'd personally make is having Adam Driver play Snape. He just HAS the look.
You mean...he has 'the nose' ;) (and maybe the hair, too)
@@Hugin-N-Munin little column A, little column B.
And the voice imo
Personally, I'd go for Keanu Reeves
And he’s appropriately aged
I still think that if Daniel Radcliff would be cast as any other HP character, it would have to be Harry's own father, James Potter.
He's not tall enough to be James I think he'd be a good Vernon Dursley tbf
He’s too old. James and Lilly die at 21. They’re all 30-odd now.
@@Rowandgs He can be digitally de-aged.
@@Rowandgsdidn’t seem to stop the casters when the cast a 50 smth year old Alan Rickman for a 32 or so year old Snape.
The age of the actors playing The Marauders is sooo important imo. They really need to be in their late 20s early 30s to keep one of the least talked about themes in the whole series…the young are who pay the price of war. Lilly and James died at 21!!! Snape joined the death eaters at 17/18. Sirius fought in a war then went to prison after learning his best friend has been betrayed by one of his closest friends before he’d even have graduated college. Then Harry, Ron, Hermione, and the whole DA repeats the cycle. Keep the ages actuate and really explore that theme
yeah they were aged up for the movies because jk liked alan rickman
Lupin is supposed to look older than he is so I think Ewan McGregor (maybe aged down a little) could still work
I agree, my Marauders would be
James Potter - Colin Morgan (Lily Potter - Karen Gillan)
Sirius Black - Robert Sheehan
Peter Petegrew - Iwan Rheon
Remus Lupin - Dan Stevens
100% agree! Ben’s cast ages range from mid-30s to almost 60! 🤯 WHY?!?!
@@maikejahn9130 Robert Sheehan as Sirius works too well
If we’re suggesting younger actors for Snape, Sirius, and Peter, I think we should pick a younger one for Remus to fit the look of being their age. I actually think Andrew Garfield would be an excellent Remus. And maybe Ben Barnes as Sirius?
Remus kind of have a premature aging thing going on though like half of hair is already Gray
I completely forgot Ben Barnes! His Shadow and Bones portrayal is all I can think about as Sirius now. The kinda forced craze that he gives off in the last like 3 episodes definitely fit the Shrieking Shack scenes!
I can’t tell if you’re joking ? It’s been a decade long fan casting for Ben Barens to play Sirius and Andrew as Remus .
Thank you for saying this because I fully felt like they were pranking us by saying Andrew Garfield as sirius
Yeah 51 yr old Ewan McGregor is making me cringe. That's too old. Maybe he should have been cast the first run through. Millie Bobby Brown is perfect for Tonks and with such a star/fan favorite playing Tonks maybe they will finally give the character the screentime she deserves, but 18 to 51? Even Jane Eyre would raise her eyebrows at that one.
I'm in for Daniel Radcliffe as James Potter as an Easter egg or we can make these movies in 60 years and cast him as Dumbledore
For me, Andrew Garfield is the only option to play Remus Lupin. He even said it’s an honour to be a Remus fan cast!
Knew I wouldn't have to look far for this comment🤣 but 100% agree
I've always thought it would be great to recast Matthew Lewis (Neville) as Snape. It'd be a fun easter egg in a couple ways. And as long as we're on that train, I think Daniel Radcliffe would do well as Sirius.
I love this soooooo much! And I'm so mad at myself and Ben and Jay for not thinking of this! And Matthew has worked with Emilia Clark before so that could help during the unbreakable vow scene. And he was kinda a git in said movie, could use that towards a Snape portrayal.
Ooh I like Daniel as Sirius!
That’s honestly where I thought he was going with it, not Dan Rad.
You should absolutely do a part two to this list, including characters like Bellatrix, Slughorn, Aberforth etc.
Bellatrix really should have been on this list
James and lily too!
I want to know who would replace John Cleese as Nearly Headless Nick.
And speaking of Pythons, I'd love to see Eric Idle as Dumbledore. Michael Palin as Fudge.
Adrian Edmondson as Filch? Or Moody?
They recast Fleur, but what about Krum?
@@alexrobi1176 Margot Robbie as Bellatrix. She's an absolute psychopath as Harley Quin!
@@lukechilders2973 they'll probably cast Eva Green. She's done that kind of thing before.
Adam Driver 100% fits my vision of Snape. Even though he isn’t British I feel like an exception should be made because no other actor even comes close to pulling it off for me.
I would personally like to see Tom Hiddleston as Snape. Not because he can do an Alan Rickman impression (in fact I prefer he not for the role) but because he's played the role of someone who demands respect but often doesn't get it by those that know him. Like, he could be intimidating to the students, but to the Marauders, he is just Sniveling Snape. He can also be really sympathetic and someone that is really trying to be a spy and an ally. I'm basically describing Loki, but you get the idea.
He was my first thought as well!
@@jeremynorris_hostyl1 Yes! I'm glad more are on board
Snapes supposed to be 32 in the first year… just because Alan Rickman was amazing doesn’t mean he always has to be too old
@@Fligoo Yeah, but Tom doesn't look too old. He's only 42 now, and I bet wouldn't change much in several years.
Mark my words, one of these days Daniel Radcliffe is going to be old enough to be recast as Dumbledore. ✨Full Circle✨
and then the new actor for harry would play dumbledore in like 80 years
I have some doubt Daniel Radcliffe would be involved in another Harry Potter project. It would be thematically amusing, though
Or Rupert Grint can do it and make that old fan theory true in some way
Yes, but he won't take the role. He is done with Harry potter.
he MIGHT do "The cursed child" but not likely.
@@bryanlariviere5702 To Ya'll saying "he won't take it." You have to think looong term here, we're talking 30-40 years.
Tom Baker would make a great Dumbledore. He's got the physical size to have a great presence, and his years playing The Doctor (Doctor Who) give him the right skill set to play a wizard.
Adam Driver, while not British LOOKS the part of younger Snape.
We got a whovion and a Potter head in the chat here lol
Tom baker is in the same category as Richard Harris. He matches the old wise man very well, and could probably play the funny side aswell. But I just can't see him dueling in the ministry or just running around.
@@lidular you make a good point
Tom Baker is looking quite frail and thin last time I saw a video of him. So I don't think he got the exact presence anymore. Age getting to him.
Sadly the great Tom Baker doesn't act anymore. It was a nightmare trying to get him to agree to the camo in the 50th anniversary of who.
David Tennant for Sirius just suits for me The hair would work, he can do caring, angry, joking like and serious also just picture all the lines of Sirius in the original but Scottish and done by the tenth Doctor, also Tom Hiddleston for Lupin would be perfect
You do remember he played Barty Crouch Jr in Goblet of fire
@@paulstewart3847 yeah bu this would be a new series so it's fine
@@vinniequick Well, if people want the Marauders to be closer to the ages they were in the books then that would make him too old for the part
@@Inkyminkyzizwoz well Tom Hiddleston at 41 looks the same as he did when he was 20 look it up if you don't believe me he's just taller and has a beard which by Loki shows even if he removes the beard he looks young
David just get some make up and some CGI cause big budget HARRY POTTER SHOW!! and boom sorted out
Based on his work in Thor: Love and Thunder, Christian Bale would make a great Voldemort as well!
jack kelly to voldemort- i’d never stop making avpm jokes
Good one 👍
I know the Danny Radcliff recast as snape has been around for a few years but I actually would rather see him come back as Sirius.
Great choices guys! May have thrown Benedict Cumberbatch in a potential Snape? Martin Freeman as Arthur? Eva Green as Bellatrix!
I like this
Following the rule strictly, Eva Green is actually French. Would be great otherwise
Omg Martin Freeman would be a perfect Arthur!
@MrDoobla Technically speaking, so is Emma Watson.
Yes! Cumberbatch as Snape! Well chosen!
I hope we are getting a part two
With rita, Bellatrix, aberforth, luscious, Kingsley, james, lilly, pomfrey, quirell, sybill, sprout
Krum, bill, Flitwick, Filch, fudge and ollivander
How Benedict Cumberbatch didn’t make this list?! He could be even Snape. He does an amazing Alan Rickman impersonation.
No offense to Idris Elba, but Sir Patrick Stewart is the frontrunner for Dumbledore. To start, he has the Shakespearean training and the voice that allows him to be soft spoken and/or project authority when necessary. His time as Capt. Picard and Professor Xavier showed how effortlessly he can portray a characters that are thoughtful, caring, and capable leaders. Or maybe we can give him a shot at Voldemort, that Shakespearean training can apply very well to villains.
That's so funny, cause I was gonna suggest Sir Ian McKellen.
@@kerahbundy5705 that's exactly what I was gonna say ;D
@@kerahbundy5705 If I remember correctly sir Ian McKellen was asked to play Dumbeldore after the death of Richard Harris but denied the offer. But still both sir Ian McKellen and sir Patrick Stewart are great options for Dumbeldore and I would love to see Tom Holland as Cedric.
While I would agree that this casting is good, i feel like they intentionally stuck to younger actors as to lower the chance of us losing a cast member like we did with Richard Harris.
Sir Patrick Stewart is 82 years old, as morbid as this may sound, the chance of him surviving up until the end of an at least 7 year project are rather low, so that's probably why he wasn't on the potential cast list
Would love to see Sirius, Lupin & Snape cast at the correct age (32 at Harry’s first year).
Yes, I was kinda disappointed at the choices. It always bothered me that in the movies the actors hit 40 when they supposed to portray 20-30 year olds.
@@tess1810 Still Snape was pretty perfect
Yes I totally agree! For me the perfect Sirius would be Robert Sheehan.
I honestly think that Mamoa would make a pretty good Hagrid. He has the size, and can do the intimidating upon entrance, but then just have a smile that lights up a room that puts you at ease just as instantly. I can see him pulling off that kind of gentle giant role. And it'd be great for him to flex his acting chops.
I like that! Plus, he is huge enough already 😂
I love Jason Momoa, but I think despite physical similarities he'd be miscast. Hagrid has a bumbling awkwardness about him, which Coltrane caught it to perfection (Hagrid isn't a proper wizard with a wand, he's a half-giant and a lot of people think that he's quite dumb, which affects his self-esteem). Momoa, looking the way he does and having charisma oozing out of his pores, is just too confident and cocky to capture Hagrid's shyness and modesty. Everything about his body language and facial expressions says that he's spent his life being considered an absolute hunk and I think it would take a LOT of acting prowess to deliver a performance that would make the audience forget about it. Momoa is by no means a bad actor, but I'm not sure if he can be THAT good haha (again, saying this with absolute love for him). Or at least he's never been cast in a role that would be so against character. A Momoa Hagrid would suddenly go from "awww, he's so adorable" to "dannnng, can we have a Hagrid spinoff?" (much like the Figwit elf in the Lord of the Rings haha)
I’d like to nominate Hugh Laurie as Mr. Malfoy
And Benedict Cumberbatch as Lupin
But I do like all of your choices.
I missed Buttercomb Cumberland too!! Not sure where… maybe Snape even?!
Dr. House is too old for Lucius.
Sam Witwer will always be my dreamcast for Voldemort. Given his portrayal of Darth Maul I feel like he would absolutely nail that cunning wickedness and manic insanity perfectly
Harry Potter but replaced with Star Wars cast
Liam Neeson as Dumbledore
I would love that. I feel like he could bring a creepy and more violent Voldemort to screen. I think he has that potential
Nailed it.
KENOOOOBIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would prefer something new. I would love to see a Marauders series. Something back at Hogwarts with kids and the same kind of feel as the originals, but still something new. It would be interesting to see Voldy's rise to power through the eyes of the kids, plenty of opportunities for adventures. We already know about some of the really interesting character arcs that would be fun to flesh out.
While I would like it as movies or tv series and that's what would probably make them the money, I really want them as a new series of books. Books are a better storytelling medium, Change My Mind.
If you want a marauders book series I highly reccomend All the Young Dudes on A03 which tells the story of the Marauders time at hogwarts and the rise of Lord voldemort through the perspective of Remus Lupin and is almost entirely canon compliant.
If u have seen the fan movie Severus Snape and the Marauders, thats perfect casting and great story telling.
My mum always goes on about having a massive crush on Lupin and it's so engrained in my mind that when I try recasting him I subconsciously judge the actors on "would mum have a crush on this actor"
Positively or negatively? Do you want her to have a crush on them or does it put you off of the actor playing him?
After seeing the recast I am fine with HP never getting remade 😅 rather just have spin offs IE your founders series or a Marauders series
I'm gonna go here... I don't like it when movies change the race of a character when they're EXPLICITY described in the source material as being a certain race. That goes every which way (aka not just white to black which is where everyone's mind is right now".
Ben is suggesting changing the race of a number of characters, and I'm not a fan of it. The same way I wouldn't like it if Kingsley Shacklebolt was played by a white guy.
who cares if they're changing the race, at least it's giving representation to people who are not as often represented as white people are.
@@nyooang I hope that wasn't aimed at me ( it looks like you replied to me and not the other who made those comments) because I didn't say anything about any race changes or anything of that sort I just stated I would rather a new spin off entirely being made
@@JustDanny92 Please site your sources for where those characters have their race specifically mentioned ☺
@@jacobmorejead8122 please use evidence where I ever complained about the race of the characters 🤡
Olivia Coleman would make an excellent Minerva Mcgonagall, she is fantastic in every role she's in and really exudes the warmth and compassion yet also possessing the strictness and rule-following nature of her.
Just commented this as well! Ahaha 1000% agree!
Oh I just got to the part where you cast Olivia Coleman as Umbridge, that's extremely funny as both actresses have/are playing Queen Elizabeth II in the Crown.
For me Olivia Coleman Would be a Perfect Petunia

I'm sorry, but when you said Andrew as Sirius, I spat my tea out. Andrew's the perfect Remus, okay? For Sirius, I'm going to go with Ben Barnes. Those who get it, get it, those who don't, don't.

Me too! I think Margot Robbie in a black wig and black contacts could be good, but I really would like to see a character that's closer to book!Bellatrix. HBC played her own version, which was entertaining but not really faithful to the books.
@@bellablack6937 good possibility
IT's great how you guys chose Olivia Coleman as an alternative to Imelda Staunton, and we will see Staunton a play the Queen in The Crown in the new season - replacing Coleman. Almost as if the two are the same, but they are just equally talented actors! :)
Speaking of QI hosts, Steven Frye, the international voice of the Harry Potter audio books, might be willing to play Dumbledore if you ask nicely.
Yasssss!
"Fry".
More like ”ask calmly” …haha
If you ask nicely 😂😂😂😂 your comment made my day 😁
Andrew Garfield for Sirius??? What?!?! NO! HOW HAVE YOU GUYS MISSED ALL THE FANCASTING OF HIM AS REMUS?!?!?!
seeing as Andrew Garfield has always been the fancast for young Remus, I‘d love to see him actually cast as Lupin!

Tom Baker as Dumbledore
Emma Thompson as Minerva
Nick Frost as Hagrid
Matt Berry as Vernon
Phoebe Waller-Bridge as Petunia
Martin Freeman as Arthur
Alex Kingston as Molly
Benedict Cumberbatch as Snape
Sam Witwer as Voldemort (I'd love Andrew Scott though)
Ewan McGregor as Lockhart
Mads Mikkelsen as Lucius Malfoy
Naomi Watts as Narsissa Malfoy (I wouldn't mind Emilia Clarke though)
Luke Evans as Sirius
Tom Hiddleston as Lupin
Paul Dano as Peter Pettigrew
Rory McCann as Moody (I've never seen GOT but I'm told he'd be perfect)
Natalie Dormer as Tonks
Anya Taylor-Joy as Fleur
Elizabeth Moss as Umbridge
Tom Baker may be a little young for dumbledore
No joke, when Ben went "say it together... Jason Momoa" I said Stephen Merchant. Of all things I think that would be the most perfect of the new cast. He'd reimagine the character just enough to put his mark on it and give us a quirky quick-witted Arthur while still letting us remain fond of the kindly inquisitive Mark Williams Arthur that we know.
I love Stephen Merchant and can see how he would fit into the WW really well, but I have trouble imagining him as Arthur. Something about the vibe is off for me. I feel like he could be Quirrell, or even Ludo Bagman, Mundungus Fletcher, Stan Shunpike (although too old), Pius Thicknesse, Reg Cattermole. I don’t know he could go anywhere and I’d love to see it!
I love that the suggestions for Sirius include a Remus fancast (Andrew) and a James fancast (Dev)
I spit out my drink when he said Andrew and Dev
I can’t imagine any other person playing Molly except for Julie Walters. She has that kind, motherly face that can also turn strict when necessary.
She's got the right look
Love to hear others choices, a couple actually lined up with my own.
Brett Goldstein as snape is a very interesting pick which I did not see coming but works.
Can't wait to see more!
I've always had this vision of Adam Driver playing Snape. I especially see the angry/stern side if Snape a little bit in Marriage Story and BlacKkKlansman.
Yes!!!! I was disappointed they didn’t mention him. Even though he isn’t british, I feel like he fits so well that an exception should be made.
Honestly, I totally agree. Plus, he's a lot closer to the age Snape is suppose to be.
I have always thought that Jared Harris (son of Richard) would be a great Dumbledore
Or Mad eye???
If Ewan Mcgreggor is gonna play lupin then he needs to say “hello there” at least once in the movies!
Lupin does, in the books at least. In the shrieking shack, when Scabbers changed into Peter, Lupin said: "Well, hello there. Long time, no see."
I would love to see David Attenborough as dumbledore. The “Alas, earwax” scene would be perfect.
😂
Honestly Stephen Fry's Dumbledore voice is so good that he would fit the part perfectly as well.

I have some adjustments and since you altered your rules, so will I:
Dumbledore - Sir Ben Kinsley
McGonagall - Dame Helen Mirren
Snape - Adam Driver
Lockheart - Tom Hiddleston
Hagrid - Brian Blessed
Moody - Richard E Grant
You’re right that Narcissa should be a GoT actress but I think Lena Headey would be better suited.
When I read the books, I always envisioned Tim Curry as Gilderoy Lockhart. His creepy, yet cheesy, smile was perfect to me. 😁😁😁 With his poor health NOW though it would be hard. 😔
OH MY GOD THAT'S PERFECT
Tom hiddleston's smile would be perfect for lockhart
Right?? I know!! He just ticked every box for me. Honestly, I had pegged Tom Hiddleston for Sirius, but he could pull off the oozing cheese required for Lockhart also.

IMO, Ian McKellen is the only other person who could play dumbeldore (probably because of ganalf, but cmon)
Exactly he could play the book Dumbeldore so well and a gay actor playing a sort of retrospectively haven't got the proverbials to go through on gay character.
I agree completely.
Buuuut I do like the idea of Idris Elba
They actually considered him originally from what I've heard but he didn't want to do it because he didn't want to be trapped in the wizard all the time and he didn't want to replace Richard Harris's character which is why we got Gambon instead I think I heard something about him disliking Richard Harris which given what I know about the man seems impossible but I don't know
He was asked when Richard Harris died and turned it down
What about Patrick Stewart?
For my recast I went into a lot more detail than you guys did. I included all of the most prevalent characters (Voldemort, Snape, Dumbledore ETC…) but I also included some of the characters that are equally important to the story as Someone like Dumbledore is, but that don’t show up as frequently. I think that johnny Depp could be an amazing Sirius, he can have that cool uncle persona to him but can also be very serious. Pirates of the Carribean alone makes him a good pick in my opinion!
Johnny Depp isn’t British though
@@sheilarough236 and? Half the famous British characters are played by Americans lots of famous American characters are played by British people
Yeah but that was an important contention that the cast be from the UK
Wait a couple years and i think Depp would be the perfect Dumbledore
@@sheilarough236 He could probarly pull it off
Having Daniel Radcliffe as Snape doesn't really count as an "easter egg" but having Tom Felton as Lockhart would. I would also cast Thandie Newton for Bellatrix and since Arthur Darvill played Arthur Weasleys son in Doctor Who, I think he needs to be in it as well.
Oh that’s a good idea! My personal fantasy for Bellatrix is Angelina Jolie but Thandiwe Newton totally suits it as well
How good would Adam Driver be as Snape?!
That pun made me so happy omg. Also kit Harrington as Sirius
This subject should be taken seriously, because I believe it is now time for the BBC to produce a seven year series on the books. New cast, with their best production values and special effects. One series for each book would give them the opportunity to give the books due respect and provide more detail than the existing movies..good though they are.
that would be a dream
I NEED this to happen!
The bbc ?! 😂😂😂😂🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
@@Greenielid Yeah. Open YOUR mind. The BBC...same network that gave us Doctor Who starting in 2005.
I'm 100% on board with your fantastic idea! I wonder why they haven't done it, they'd make a ton of money and it would be popular in almost every country. Hey BBC get on it!
Would love to see a part two maybe
Stephen Merchant as Arthur Weasley made me audibly say "ooooooh!". Love it!
Matt Berry is so wonderful. Loved him since the IT Crowd.
When Richard Harris died, I said that Michael Caine would make a perfect Dumbledore! I cannot believe that you agreed with me, at least kind of...
This was a really fun video.
What about some of the other characters? Professed Trelawney, Bellatrix, Slughorn… part 2??
If Jason Mamoa played Mr. Weasley:
Mr. Weasley: *starts to fight Lucius in Flourish and Blots*
Lucius: *immediately dies*
If including young dumbledore, there’s been 4 actors - Toby regbo, from Reign. Which I can actually see him playing Jude laws current role if fantastic beasts were to be recast
Back in the extremely early 2000's, starting in the lul between COS and POA, I was part of a chat group which had a section about casting for the movies. I was moderator fot that thread and started a sub-thread "if time, space and death did not apply." "Space" because of Her ban on non-British actors.
I tried linking, but the links were just too long.
Voldy: Peter Sellers the original Inspector Cleuseau. He also could have been Snape and Sirius.
Slughorn: Leo McKern who was Australian and had died a few months prior.
Sirius: Lawrence Olivier or Carey Grant.
Lupin: James Stewart. Yes, THAT James Stewart. The Man Who Shot Liberty Vallance, The Philadelphia Story, etc. Dead and not British.
So a few recasts that I think could work (im ignoring the british rule for this)
1. Maya Hawke as Tonks - Robin in Stranger Things is basically just Tonks to begin with
2. Sam Whitwer as Barty Crouch Jr - I dont even think I need to say anthing for this one
3. Tilda Swinton as McGonagall - She. Would. Crush. It.
Wow I can totally see Olivia Coleman as Umbridge especially if you've seen her performance in Fleabag
The moment you said Matt Smith I almost chocked on my dinner. For starters, I could not picture him as a blonde (then you showed a clip of him with blonde hair) and second his character as the 11th doctor was way to nice to ever see Matt Smith playing someone as evil as Lucius. Maybe he's been in other stuff where he was more mean, but I watched too much Doctor Who to see him as anything but nice.
He has played more villainous characters such as Patrick Bateman in the original cast of American Psycho the Musical, his character in Last Night in Soho is very hatable and Morbius (which I haven't seen) he's the main antagonist
Then you haven’t watched House of the Dragon yet.
I would like him and Alex Kingston to be the new Arthur and Molly
Is that too much on the nose?
I don't usually disagree with you guys very often, but I only agree with 2 of your options for recasting and they are Ewan McGregor as Lupin and Andy Serkis as Peter/Scabbers.
All the rest are very far off the mark and that is my opinion.
Yeah, this one just wasn't it.
Exactly lol
Yeah Simon Pegg as… Hagrid? Just no in my opinion
@@rionspencer9947 Yeah! That's a hard pass on that one 😂
I could however see Stephen Fry as Hagrid though
Agreed
Honestly my first thought about who should be Umbridge was the actress who played the stalker in baby reindeer, cause she was just phenomenal and I feel like she could definitely pull off umbridges character but you’re guys choice is also perfect!
I personally would love to see Aiden Turner as Snape and James McAvoy as Lupin. Aiden Turner could also make a great Sirius though!
The fact that he said Andrew for Sirius is kinda funny because most people who write fanfic use him as “young Sirius”
Kit Harrington for Sirius! Also I always wanted Adam Driver for a younger Snape. I reckon he could pull it off well. Did the moodiness as Kylo Ren 👌
Exactly Adam for Snape! Before I even watched star wars, I saw a small clip of him as Kylo and immediately thought omg its snape! Not just the proper look physically and the moodiness/proper aura, but the VOICE!!!
This has been around for ages, but I think Adam Driver not only looks exactly like Snape, but also looks younger than Alan Rickman when he took the role. He‘s American, but I‘m sure he could learn a decent-enough british accent.
I would love to see Tormund as Hagrid.
Throwing out the British rule...
Adam Driver as Snape
Dev Patel as James
Andrew Garfield as Remus
Ben Barnes as Sirius
But andrew garfield is british?
@@timothygodwin7575 and so is Dev Patel. I guess she just really wanted Adam Driver.
Yesss
I would sh!t my pants if Adam was Snape.
Benedict Cumberbatch would be my choice for Voldemort.
Thank you! My dad and I have thought since Richard Harris passed away that Michael Caine should have been his replacement. I’m glad you mentioned it
I would never have thought of it but Roy Kent as Snape is PERFECT!!!!
Guys, hear me out, I know he's Scottish, but Ewan McGregor (Prequal Obi-Wan) as Remus Lupin. He just gives of that vibe, you know. He's so kind yet strict if he needs to be, and he gives off a really independent vibe like Lupin. Again, I get he's Scottish, but they made an exception, so that means I can two.
Edit: I made this before they got to Lupin and that's who they think should play Lupin as well. That's cool
Also, scottish is still british, so no need to make an exception there.
It was heavily rumored that he was casted as Lupin back in a day. That's way my Lupin looks like him. But now he's old.
My choice James McAvoy
@@lilac951 he doesn't *look* old though, and de-aging is a thing
@@lilac951 he doesn't *look* old though, and de-aging is a thing through various means, plus Lupin is supposed to look older than he is anyway
@@thebuddercweeper if we talking right here right now - yes, he's fine. But realistically speaking it's not going to happen any time soon. Personally I hope at least for 10-15 years
I know she’s not British, but I think Emma Stone would be an awesome Bellatrix Lestrange
Optional title: Ben fanboying over British actors for 19 minutes straight 🤣
I love how Ben is so enthusiastic about this video
when the name "chris hamsworth" came out of his mouth i laughed out loud. this is perfect.
Let me introduce you to Marauders and our fancasts Ben Barnes= Sirius black Andrew Garfield = Remus Peter = Ned from Tom hollands spider man James = reikydevalk regulus black = Timothee Chalamet
Omg wait. Olivia Coleman as Umbridge is insanely good.
I really hope if we ever get a reboot we get actors in their early to mid 30s for the surviving marauders and Snape.
Now I really want to see this movie! With one huge exception - Adam Driver is so obviously Snape. But if we are going strictly with British actors, it has to be Benedict Cumberbatch. Come on - Daniel Radcliff? Talk about stunt casting 🙄
