Although Reacher is a physically imposing character, Tom did a solid job with the part.

Tom is class in every manner, matey from the series is massive and in my eyes minces rather than walks.

For being a smaller guy, Cruise did a great job with this movie, and it was nice to see him surprise guys when he just waded through several guys like nothing. But I guess the character started out in print being a large man, which Cruise isn't. Whatever you call it, It was still a very good movie.

That thing at the end is kind of an oddity... it's when you try really, really hard to convince someone in a position of power that you're going to win... _and you SUCCEED._ Well, shit, if Zec convinced Reacher that Reacher was going to be either in prison, or hunted by Zec later, what COULD Reacher do besides kill him? *Congratulations, you just convinced him to kill you.*

Whatevs, this new season was a great book. Should be fun to watch and see his crew in “real life”.
@@jjs490 Cruise is an excellent actor, one of my all time favorites, should have won multiple oscars, but Ritchson is better suited to this role.

Having read some of the Jack Reacher books, Tom Cruise looks nothing like Jack Reacher. Nonetheless, he pulls off the attitude admirably.
I can't help but think it's would've been about 40% funnier if Jack Reacher had called-Collect... just an extra little "F You".

How can anyone watch Tiny Tom as Reacher when we now have Alan Ritchson? If there was ever 'miscasting' it was when Tom Cruise was cast as Reacher. Stretching credibility way too far...

@@John-qb8vd if you have read the books then you would know that Reacher is a very large blond and imposing man, not how you would describe Tom, it’s a core part of him so yes, he did a crap job at it and just turned it into a generic action movie
@@madcapmonster I’ve read every Reacher book, most two or more times. I realize that Cruise fell way short of 6’5”. I also felt that he had the persona and toughness of the Reacher character. So it really didn’t effect me. I just enjoyed the movies.
Cruise as Reacher was such a joke. The author hated him. The tv guy is great, just perfect. Don't get me wrong, I like Cruise the actor but talk about miscasting. Holy moly.

Thoroughly enjoyed Tom as Reacher until Amazon brought out their version with Alan Ritchson. Tom has unfortunately become unconvincing. If AI exists they should swap out Tom for Alan in these superb movies.

@@johnramirez3836 Ok didnt know about the lifts. Just found out according to one of the stunt coordinators that apparently worked with Tom Cruise said he's about 5.6 foot so thats not that big of a difference to me. Anyway for me its not really a big deal with fictional characters.
Tom is a midget compared to the other Jack Reacher. I give Cruise a one out of ten. -He is a shrimp posing as a tough guy. It's a hard sell.
