I don't get this game's story lol Etro's Gate appears at the final encounter... who is the same goddess that teleports Lightning later, and the focus of the party changes, without the influence of a Fal'cie. It's implied Etro did it, but that implication is an educated guess and still doesn't fill in that plot hole
The implications are that etro has been guiding them almost the whole time, and I recall, but could be incorrect, seeing her gate throughout the first game a few times. She’s the one sending the Eidolons to keep them going, she’s the one who lights paths for them that were not there before, she’s slowly dimming her life force and light to make sure humanity prevails! It’s actually really beautiful the more you look into it, it’s why I love the 13 trilogy so much, and why I defend it
Bit late but technically, Vanilla is still a child like Link was in Ocarina of Time. Both were stuck in Stasis for long enough, sure but mentally (and in Vanille's case, physically), they're still the same age they were when they were first put into Stasis
Goddamn, Lightning's speech before this fight was so damn inspiring and well written!
True, that!
Lighting is my fave final fantasy character
What the hell is he saying during the fight
You do know Japan makes entertainment based on our Real world it's not just your personal wants

it’s probably because the story is terrible and makes no sense. Absolutely the worst FF .
Why's Vanille's voice that of a little girl?
She’s only 19
Well actually 519 years old. 😅
