Riku is going to a world considered fiction to him; that would be like someone from our world going into a Kingdom Hearts game. We are going really meta now.
The only acceptable way the story can continue is if we play it ourselves in virtual reality.

Merlin and Yen Sid did say it was a very special world, it could be something like a pocket fictional world they're able to enter but can't go anywhere else because it's self contained

They exist in the same reality and have known ways of entry; meanwhile Verum Rex appears as a video game in their reality but there is no known way to get there due to it existing in its own form of space separate from the worlds of Kingdom Hearts.

Honestly it was fine up until ddd and 3. Ddd brought time travel and 3 retconed the nobodies to have hearts and brought back everyone for the hell of it. Even the replica riku from the end of CoM. Roxas and nomine are now their own person. And like half the revived org are just there for the lolz
@@skylerbehunin7777 The nobodies not having hearts being false was hinted at for quite some time, what with data and toys being able to have hearts, from their experiences with other entities that have their own building a connection with them.
In a sense the same could be said to be occurring for nobodies as well from the connections they form.

I can't believe that after nearly 18 years, they finally explained what the mysterious machine in the lab in World Terminus, all the way back in KH1, really was: a device to send Kairi (and possibly others) across their connections to Keyblade wielders so Xehanort could track them down. It's shit like this that keeps me invested no matter how ridiculous and convoluted the story gets.
They already explained that machine in KHUX before

my only gripe is that i wish her animation wasn't so rigid when she was introducing herself to kairi and the scientists. she literally just stood there looking straight like an MMO NPC. it could've been a little more disney, given her manner of speech.

I REALLY appreciated the fairy godmother’s inclusion here. This is the kind of Disney character interaction I was craving for years. I hope they do more in the future, but even more random, yet still making sense

I just want more random disney interaction tbh. Cuz right now, Kingdom Hearts is like a crossover, with walls separating the different movies from interacting with one another
I think how they should handle disney going forward is to just tell completely new stories with the worlds they get. We can still have the feel of running around our favorite disney movies but they would'nt need to try to squeeze in those movies plots anymore.
After Kairi gets trained by Aqua, she's gonna be OP. Finally she'll be able to hang with Sora and them. I'm hyped for her development the most right now!

Can we just appreciate that Kairi is still learning to fight in a smart way when it comes to close combat?
She gets restricted when Xehanort grabs ahold of her Keyblade and instead of just hanging onto it, she lets go of it to have it reappear back to her hand just a mere second later! She very obviously learned her lesson when Xemnas grabbed her by the wrist that was holding the Keyblade when she could’ve just had it reappear on her other hand. Very proud of her ; u ;
it rmemebred me on that one lightsaber fighting style wher eyou keep turning your saber off and on as you slash, lmao~
Also, she is waaaay smarter than the main Keyblade wielders since NONE of them have done that, gameplay or otherwise lmao

What's crazy is if you read the kingdom hearts novelization, they explicitly refer to Ansem in the secret reports sending a girl to another world. Sora then asks "is this talking about Kairi?" This has been known for a while but is now canonized.

And because of this I believe from what I have seen since BBS if there is one thing BBS ending teached me was not only was everything done by Xehanort but that Ansem persona was born waaaay before Xemnas was a thing since Ansem is xehanort

Yeah 1 & 2 are the most important mainline games to the series, but 3 doesn’t even make sense if they don’t explain the back story of everything. And BBS, don’t even get me started. It tells us why Sora & Riku are even on their journey to even give you amazing games like 1 & 2. As I go back and rewatch cutscenes and study info on this game, I honestly couldn’t see this saga of the series playing out a better way

Can't wait for the next real KH game. Better not be a rhythm game either.

Fairy Godmother could appear there because she sensed the powerful dream of nameless star. Remember this world isnt actually a place of death, its a place hearts go to before they are ready to move on so she can still access it if someone there has a strong enough dream.

It's implied that the Ancient Keyblade Masters were almost godlike in the things they were capable of, and the Keyblade war kinda wiped the knowledge to do stuff that insane and scattered it across the worlds. The one that's gotten the closest thus far to replicating it is Xehanort, but it's only logical that as our heroes learn more about the war and traverse worlds and learn more things from various characters, they will slowly unlock those same powers as well. It's power creep, but it's one of the more sensible power creeps I've seen.

So fairy godmother having great power over dreams should be able to get there. People should also be able to get to this world through their dreams too probably.

@@mimiozee Well when they say "fictional" like with many terms they use, "hearts", "memories", etc. They actually mean different things than what we think. They classified these terms as different things entirely as a heart is basically a soul of sorts and the memories within are tangible experiences of the heart/soul. A world that is "fictional" to them means they can't exactly comprehend what keeps that world outside of the influence or knowledge of their own. Basically Yozora is in his own game as are the other FF characters their plot happens regardless of what goes on in KH universe. They just had to try and cram this as a plot point into the game and do it in another unnecessarily cryptic way to not straight up break immersion. (meanwhile this game is still birthed from a crossover of FF and Disney). KH likes being convoluted, now more so than ever, because it is basically garbage if it was easily understood by all.

You gotta admit, Kairi put up quite the fight against Memory-Xehanort. To be honest, I didn't think she would win, Xehanort has *way* more experience than her, but Kairi still put up a real good fight, even catching him off guard for a few seconds.
I'm kind of disappointed we didn't see Master of Master at all in this game.
Unless, we _did_ see him but didn't know who he was.

that's right, ladies, gents, and everything in between. it took ansem the wise an entire year just for *that.* kairi remembered only the things relevant for the rest of the scenes. no insights into her character, relationship with her grandmother, how her life was, etc. just bare bones "remember this in the next 5 minutes". yay.....
This is one of the reasons why KH3 is my last Kingdom Hearts game.
Given that this was supposed to be "Kairi's game", you're right; nothing about her has developed (she even got Sakura'd). But for the next series, i think there's a lot of gravity in what he's uncovered.

The closing chapters of Days and BBS were an extended exercise in feels.
I appreciate that even if it feels small, that The Fairy Godmother has a role to play here. Feels like this is the most involvement I've seen, aside from Pete and Maleficent with the box, where Disney characters are directly involved with the plot.
Same. Beast literally being so angry in KH1 that he refused to die with his world like a side character and willed his way into the party also comes to mind. There's a lot of supporting character stuff that goes under the radar too, but is still super important in the grand scheme of things. Like:
- The copy of the Tron computer that Ansem used was probably the origin of Vexan's idea for the replicas, being able to take a person's entire being and turn it into data that can be copied and redistributed. Replica technology is just the Tron beam but applied in a different way. "Data" versions of characters are just replicas that don't have a physical body.
- Will's sacrifice in the Pirates of the Caribbean world likely giving Sora the idea to sacrifice himself to save Kairi, even if it meant they couldn't be together.
Etc, etc.

A lot of the events that happen do get foreshadowed in the storyline through the Disney worlds' plots, but the one thing I miss about the story is how we got the villains interacting with each other in KH1. I know there's the whole "world order" thing that Donald explains, which is for the best, but it really would have been nice to see others interact through the whole story as well. Hercules definitely plays a role in Sora's growth through advice, like he gave him in KH3 about inner strength.
It's like I would be asking too much for the Disney characters to interfere with Sora's side of the story while he's in their world, but it's just my thoughts on it.
Edit: the one time I can think where some slight involvement that was pretty badass to me was when Woody was talking smack to Young Xehanort, but it would really be nice to see some more interaction like that.

I really struggled to enjoy her character but since KH3 she got some small development and MoM sold her character for me.

I'm grateful that Kairi will now be trained under Master Aqua so she can get more experience to become stronger to which Yen Sid gladly agrees with.
Looking forward to the next KH game after Melody of Memory and who knows what is going to be about. I could see the next game be reminiscent to _Dream Drop Distance_ where it is centered on Riku and/or Kairi traversing to the various new Disney worlds looking for Sora. Hopefully, we get more news on the next KH game after MoM in 2021 next year and what's in store for Kingdom Hearts' 20th Anniversary in 2022.
I think Riku and Kairi will show up in separate games with Sora and Aqua respectively. Heck, maybe the two games will have Sora and Kairi each getting a Mark of Mastery by the end. :D

Idk why but I think this gave us an insight of what the black box is. The portal to go directly into the other world. Because the Master of masters was more attuned to the worlds and its works than anyone so he definitely knew what would happen due to his Keyblade having his ‘eye’. And don’t forget he did make an appearance in the end of KH3 to the moon making a heart shape with his hands.

In the land of fairy tales, where all the worlds were still combined, how do you explain "another plane of existence/type-of-world"? Was that a thing in UX?
The key: Dreams, Memories and Wishes.
I get it. The next theme will be about reality and unreality. Reality (Kingdom Hearts World) and Unreality (Verum Rex World). Both Sora and Yozora are meet each other at World Terminus (Final World), a border world between reality and unreality. They had a clash each other. But, at the end, neither they were sure whether they are real or not.
In our perspective, Quadratum is real and Kingdom Hearts is fictional. In their perspective, Kingdom Hearts is real and Quadratum is fictional. However, it becomes vague when reality and unreality are in line together.
And then Riku, Kairi and Nameless Star will join together to find Sora at Quadratum.
Now, for the possibilities:
Ventus will have a task to gather his old comrades: Lauriam, Ephemer, Skuld, and Brain in order to find Strelitzia. Aqua and Terra may helps him too.
Master Ava, along with MoM, are at Fictional World. Soon, the other masters (Aced, Invi, Luxu, Ira, Gula) will follow them.
Terra might also has a clue since he was once at the world of nothingness. Maybe he will bring back Xehanort's comrades (Eraqus, Vor, Hermod, Urd, Bragi, and Baldr) to help Sora and his friends.
Roxas, Xion, Axel and Isa will have a task to find "Subject X".
I had crazy theory what if Braig lied to subject x that both Lea and isa have replace her with xion and Roxas and led to get revenge on them and Ansem and his student even through both Ienzo and Ansem the wise had nothing to do with her experiment since Ansem order them to stop experiment and ienzo was a child that time

This is the follow up to KH3 that we needed... When I first heard about it, I thought it was just a noncanon spinoff about music, but it's so much more than that. I'm so glad Kairi is training under Aqua, too. Kairi has already gotten stronger, but she's going to go so much farther, and now we know Sora is not lost forever. Thank you so much for putting this compilation together.
Edit: This game is a blessing and a curse... I'm glad Sora's okay and we'll probably get him back, but now I really want the next game to come out and don't know what to do while I wait...
There's no spinoffs in Kingdom Hearts, every game is canon and important to the lore

While I was skeptical at the price of the game and wish there was more new story, the rhythm game is actually really fun! I was not excited when they announced it was going to be a rhythm game, but I'd say it's definitely worth playing. Maybe wait for the price to drop, but it's a great game.

I want there to be a KH game where Sora revisits all the original worlds and introduces all his Disney friends like Aladdin, Jack Skelington, Ariel, Peter Pan, ect. to Riku and Kairi, or just Kairi.

Xehanorts instructions to Kairi were very cryptic. He claims having her find the Keyblade wielder will save "our" world, yet he's the one who nearly let the Heartless consume Radiant Garden. Could he be referring to another world? The means in which he sent her off is also strange, as that machine is the one Darkness used to send Maleficent back to the present. Did Kairi time travel, or is there more than one way to use this "time" machine? So many questions...
he lied to her, and remember the machine has another function, as it can send people to another world, that was the original purpose of the machine. besides that's how Maleficent escaped the data world, and went back to the real world before time travelling. so basically Kairi was sent to Destiny Islands that way, with the help of Aqua's spell. though I think this one is different machine as this is in radiant garden, instead of daybreak town, considering daybreak town is beneath scala ad caelum. So Kairi did not time travel, as she is still the same age as Sora
@@TheDoremifan1 Xehanort didn't lie to her. The original purpose of the machine is to travel to worlds. The one in UX is not a completed one and because of this reason the machine in UX has a malfunction which allows to time travel to the future. This is like you said how Maleficient returned in KH2. Apprentice Xehanort during BBS time (the end of BBS) wanted really to save Radiant Garden but he did use Kairi (Princesses of Heart) as an experiment and hoped that she would find a Keyblade Master who rescues Radiant Garden. In KH1 and KH2 this became full circle since Sora saved Hollow Bastion (aka Radiant Garden).

And yeah Aqua's spell on Kairi had also a influence, without the spell maybe Kairi would now be in Quadratum instead of Destiny Island.

@@vindifference That's one of the big problems with KH's writing when it comes to exposition it never feels like the characters are talking to each other but rather exposing vague information to the player.
Kairi is literally only used as a plot device. I was never a fan of her, but damn.
How you gon kidnap a child and then say "oh btw everything you love is gonna die and you have to save them".

Honestly, I find that they had Sora literally replacing Kairi absolutely disgusting. If they wanted to show the connection between Sora and Kairi and that Kairi gets her strengh from Sora, they could of had an apperation appear behind her like when Micky was shooting that giant keyhole in KH re-mind DLC, but no, they literally robbed Kairi of a chance to develop as a charicter and face her fears head on
And I'm not saying Kairi could beat Xehanort alone. In my scenario she is still relying on support from Sora, just in a much less disrespectful manner. I also think it's worth noting that while Sora did do most of the work, Kairi was able to put up a good fight in Re:mind against goat armour Xehanort, a foe stronger than any other seekers of darkness that the gaurdians of light struggled against. So she can definitely fight pretty well
@@hyperfairy7779 Yeah, the developers just can’t seem to make up their mind on what they want Kairi to be. I get that she’s newer to the Keyblade than most of the others. Technically she’s only had her Keyblade a couple weeks longer than Axel, (although it doesn’t feel like it since to she got her Keyblade back in 2006) so of course she’s untrained and essentially a novice.
I can swallow her needing training in KH3, but if she was good enough to fight in the Keyblade War, then shouldn’t she be done with that? From how the others acted, (Riku not letting her go after Sora and Yen Sid instantly asking if she’d continue her training, like she abandoned it halfway through or something) it felt like she was still considered a novice.
If that’s how they want to portray her, and it’s certainly galling don’t get me wrong, then they need to give us moments where she succeeds in battle. Every fight, few though they were, she struggled against her opponent before ultimately losing. Like being grabbed by Xemnas or defeated by the memory of Xehanort. The only victory she had was against Xehanort’s armor and it’s tainted because Sora was there too.
She’s handled with kid gloves all the time. I’m never been a huge Kairi fan, mostly just indifferent, but even I find her character development insulting.
@@Hexalys13 well it makes sense she would struggle against her memory of Xehanort, her last real memory of him was him killing her (sorta) so that is probably at play here and the reason she cant do anything. I get people want to see Kairi do something besides be the on the sidelines but this is probably a way of setting her up to do more and a step in the right direction is training under Aqua who is a badass in her own right.
@@prodigous21 unfortunately, even aqua got netured hard in KH3, losing every fight she was in, and even then, it's hard to have faith when Evey bit of Kairi build up has been a tease...
it's almost disgusting how they've been baiting us with promises that Kairi will be useful since KH 2 and then shafting her every single time, and using the same lie to hype up every new release

Kairi will be traning under aqua, why should I beleave them Kairi will be useful when they've lied to us since KH2, they are just keeping Kiari weak so they can keep baiting us into buying future games in hopes she actually does something. For that traning to mean anything, we need a Kairi and aqua game, or at least cutscenes of them traning, not just sitting around talking
My predictions:
We’re gonna get three or four spin-off games going forward:
A) Riku looking for Sora. I think he’s gonna get an idea of how to get him back but then he’ll be attacked and overwhelmed by something or someone in Yozoras world. He’ll come back bloodied and battered with the necessary revelations to advance the plot and while he recovers the other two spin-offs take place.
B) Aqua and Kairi training. There’s still plenty of relatively easy to handle patches of darkness left behind. Kairi and Aqua can play clean up and have plenty of great character moments. Kairi can be greatly evolved and progressed as a fighter even more and even possibly get a new outfit going into KH4.
C) The least likely to happen, but I really want it to. Mickey. Scala Ad Caelum. The Fortellers. It’s literally setting up a “Jiraiya searching for Pain” type deal. Right as Mickey finds the info he needs the Fortellers are gonna show up and utterly destroy him. Before being defeated/killed/sealed/etc. he’s gonna scribble something down and give it to Pluto and then send him away with a star shard or somethin. Badass and tragic.
D) Verum Rex. Speaks for itself.
All of the games are canon, none were "spin offs," a spin off goes with a different story

"why does the fairy godmother know where the border between sleep and death is and none of the Norts do?" Xehanort is exceptionally good at avoiding death as I'm sure we all know. For that matter, so are literally all the other characters. They either split into heartless and nobodies, and or scuttle into some other person's heart like a frightened crab. Even the only canonical human main cast death we saw was retconned with Eraqus when terra spit him up like a hairball in Xehanorts lap. It's literally no wonder none of these characters ever learned that this place existed.
