Lyme Regis

We finally made it to Lyme Regis after a slightly eventful journey down, my tyre pressure light came on while I was driving on the motorway (I’d checked the pressure the day before so this got me very worried) luckily the motorway exit was straight ahead of us so I drove off the motorway straight to the local Tesco and checked my tyres, again they were fine but the light was still on. As a member of the RAC I phoned them straight away but they said they can’t come to me for four hours and suggested driving to a Halfords or Kwikfit, unfortunately Kwikfit couldn’t see us for six hours but were directed to a garage further down the road where they saw us straight away and told us it was just the censor playing silly games with us. So after the delay we were back on the motorway heading to Lyme Regis.
We arrived to a very busy Lyme Regis and luckily we found a parking spot. We took a precarious walk up the beach to find some fossils but unfortunately I think we were just unlucky or the crowds had already picked their way through them, we did find some huge specimens though but obviously we couldn’t move them.
We had a delicious fish and chip lunch after getting caught in the rain, and got caught in a heavy downpour again walking back to the car.
Even though it was a mostly soggy day it was awesome and can’t wait to visit again.
