- THE LEATHER
Black Oiled Rough Out is a new chromed-tanned leather from Seidel, featuring a hefty use of oil in the tanning process. This leather is perfect for footwear: tough, supple, beautiful, and very weather-resistant. Not to be confused with the similarly named Black Oil-Tanned Rough Out, a drier, stiffer leather we've used in the past.

I've wanted a Truman boot for years. One day hope to afford one. Thanks for the great video.
Thanks for watching!
They are fantastic! I knew right when they released these they were going to sell out super fast. Great choice! They're awesome.
Thanks,
I actually got one of the last 2 pairs left.
According to their website these are going to be available all the time.
@@AaronG2480 I just did a pre-order for the Upland boot in black oiled rough out with the 20 last, plain toe and new heavy lug sole. May take 12 weeks to get them, but I already can't wait! Will keep you posted when I get them how they are. Should be a really good boot for fall/winter time.
NICEness....good on you! Blessings to you and family in 2024!
Same to you Eleven
🙏🖐🏻👊
Muy bonitas botas compa. Truman se destaca por su selección de cueros, es por eso que los considero únicos en su categoría. Tengo tres pares de Truman y todas son únicas. Te felicito por tu compra, disfrútalas!
Those look amazing!
Those are a fine lookin pair right there!
Just Beautiful!
Beautiful roughout boots
🖐🏻👊
The boots look great!!!!!! Another great video! I’ll bet they last you for years to come!
They’re beautiful. Great choice brother! I love how the contrast of the natural welt and the black oiled leather. 👏🤝🔥
I've got the black Iron Rangers an natural welt.❤
If that welt had the same edge finish, it would be perfect.
Great looking boots. Thank for posting.
Thanks for watching!
I'm not usually into rough out shoes but those are very nice. Cool video
Very nice!!!
Aarón Hermano, I am glad I found you. I am in LA and I will visit your store for resole of my Iron Ranger.
These look great man. Wish they were in stock
Thanks!
That looks bad ass
Happy New Year! ^^
I love the style and design and sturdiness of the Truman boots! They are very underrated for what you get for your money and easily on par with Viberg, Yuketen or even White's in terms of workmanship! Nice pair of boots, you made a very good choice! Congratulations.
Thank you!
I went with my natural size 11D instead of half down 10.5 D. The fit was loose and I thought oh boy , but I put insoles with a slight arch and now it fits perfect .plus mine don't have that white stitching on the welt , the stitch is painted the same as the welt , I guess they saw your video lol.
Very happy with my purchase
I just bought these a few weeks ago. My first Truman boots. Love them!
They sure are beautiful!!!
I got my second pair last night
The video is coming soon!
Thanks for watching!!
Those are very cool Aaron Congrats! I have money set aside for the Truman Stone Ramblers when they drop this month.
Thanks 🙏
I think my next pair will be the Coach Rambler
My birthday is next month 😂
Cheers!
Those are 🔥🔥🔥🔥!!! I love Truman’s. I think this leather will be one for their permanent leathers, so if they sell out they will restock. Definitely getting these down the road! If you like roughout, look into the wooly bully, they are awesome too!
Thanks
Those are nice to but to hard to keep them clean 😅
Instead of that I have my IR 8087 Slate Muleskinner
I absolutely agree. The light colour welt is something I noticed and not liking it. Still a beautiful boot.
god i love truman boots imo their the nicest stock boots for the price
Good choice 👍🏾 🥳🥳🥳
Welt pops a bit too much but it will tone down as it gets worn in. I like this leather since its no maintenance. Congrats
Yeah, I didn’t like it either
But I can always make that Change 😅😅
I don’t actually like 270 degree storm welts.
Thanks!
Gracias por el saludo mi hermano!! 🤝
I have the black waxed flesh and I love them. I'm curious how these oiled roughout wear over time and how you care for them when the oil wears off.
Such great looking boots...I just pulled the trigger on some of these thanks to your video, I can't wait to get these!...An early birthday gift to myself 😁 I dig the channel bro, your work is 🔥🔥🔥
💪🏻yes !! Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
@AaronG2480 Will do! I'm just praying for a good fit...I normally prefer to try things on before making a big $ purchase, but I'm willing to take a chance for these. Salud, and Happy New Year 🙌🏽

You can always exchange them, if you have Red wing Mocs they run almost the same in length
My only issue was the width, went from D to EE
Trumans website suggests to half a size down from your regular size, but in my opinion that doesn’t work at all specifically because Trumans use a sock liner.
@AaronG2480 I did go a 1/2 size down, so hopefully, they fit nicely the first time around (fingers crossed) 🤞🏼 I will try them out with a few different types of socks too. But yes, you are correct about exchanges, so that's some piece of mind, thank you for your input bro! 💯

Muy guapas Aaron!!!
Great boots! Yup Truman boots run a bit narrow but very cool boots. T minus how many days that you will resolve them.
Minimum of £510 with p&p and taxes to get these to the UK, where’s the justice in the world?
I’m not a fan of 270 degree welt construction, either. For me, a 360 degree welt just looks better. Love your channel and your passion for boots. Happy New Year to you and your family!
Wish it had the Eugene sole
Revive shoe repair 😂

I'd love to get some Trumans eventually but I'm really hesitant to do that without trying them on first. The midwest and other PNW brands seem to have more conventional last shapes.
I would say they’re true to size , but the 79 last it’s a bit snug for me.
I wasn’t going to buy no more Trumans but I pulled the trigger on these EE and apparently I made the right decision, I have plenty of room just like my GS boots, to me it’s always better to have extra room at the toe box.
You didnt say why the first pair u return was tight , was it because the size you order ?
I went size down on the dark cyote roughout 10 half and it was tight and toes were all the way in front didnt like the fit and returned them ..
Is my impression or they looked a bit wide for your feet? They look like a pair of Red Wings I purchased 1/2 inch bigger. I wonder if when the previous pair you got would have been perfect once broken in. I still want to see the comparison video. Thanx brother.
They look like That
Because you’re not considering the
(storm welt) it’ll always make a boot look wider.
I actually didn’t like it, loved the boots but not a storm welt (270)
As for the previous/first pair
I’m 100% sure I can’t wear a size 10 on Trumans
Cheers!
Orale! I’m considering getting my first pair of Black Iron Rangers. These are cool. Do you recommend these Truman’s over the Iron Rangers?
Absolutely yes there’s no comparison, yes these are 480 but you get thicker leather, thicker and better soles + leather midsoles
I have 2 pairs of IR and these are better.
Just my personal opinion.
@@AaronG2480 thank you. I sincerely appreciate your response. I’m going to check out the Truman’s today. Have a great 2024! Saludos! Sin Fin
It really depends on what you like , these are made on a different last 79
IR are made on the 8 last
They’re different in shape
And that’s actually the main reason I have both of them, my only complaint about IR Rangers is the lack of a (Midsole) and unfortunately to get that
They have to be Resole
Were your heels securely in place when walking or did you notice heel-slip? My heels pulled up with each step so I'm looking to size-down...
No heel slip but the whole boot is wider, I ended up selling these , and getting a size 10.5
Size 10 D to tight
10 EE a bit lose in width
Size 10.5 definitely my fit
BTW I wear size 10 in RWs
Here’s another video hope it helps you.

Great looking boots! I hope you love your Trumans as much as I love mine. I have a question based on what you said about your sizing. You said you're a 10EE in Trumans and a 10 in Red Wings. Do you take your Red Wings in a wide width or a D width? I'm a 9 1/2 EE in Trumans and I'm trying to figure out if I would also need a wide width in Red Wings. Thanks!
I wear 10 D in RW and I don’t really have a wide feet but,
for some reason Trumans are a bit narrow so I had to go EE instead of Regular 10
In my opinion it’s always better to have extra room.
Thank you! @@AaronG2480
@@AaronG2480 Is the room only at the front or complete around? I have an 11.5D on the Truman Oxblood double shot and is not perfect. I find the shoes to be very low at the front and am thinking about taking a size larger for a new pair. I´m HtT 11.5 and HtB 12.5 with C to D widths on the Brannock device. I have the same Red Wing spitfire black Blacksmiths which you also have in US 11 but the toebox is more round and more spacious an higher. I measured the insoles of the Iron Rangers (the flat insole from Red Wing) and the Truman insole, which I removed. These are approximately the same length, although the Iron Ranger is 11 and the Truman is 11.5. Great channel.. Thanks for your content..
@@low_perspective
Not the whole boot but the whole toe box.
You said it right, the toe box is to flat and for that reason I had to Go with the EE. It gives me that extra room I need.
they’re slightly wider
But they fit way better than a size 10 in length/width
I recently got another pair and this time I pulled the trigger on a size 10.5 D these fit slightly big probably 1/4 of an inch It might sounds crazy but I think I’m between sizes on these Truman boots
10.5 D / 10 EE that sucks 😅
I have to wear them a few months and decide what works better for me 🤷🏻♂️
Iron Rangers are made on a more roomy/round toe I wear size 10 and don’t have any problem.
The difference on both Truman and IR besides the last and shape, is that you have to consider that Truman uses a sock liner and Red wing only comes with the foot bed, that’s why I can’t wear a size 10 Regular on Truman
Just my personal experience
BTW I have several pairs of RW Moc toe and they all fit different even though they’re all size 10 🤣 it also depends on the leather .
Thanks for watching!
Cheers
@@AaronG2480 Thanks for your answer.. It sounds like my story. I also have I also have a lot of Red Wings because we don't have a selection here in Germany. The Red Wings are not good tested for quality, all different even in the same model. All Blacksmiths fit me best in 11 even with the thin Red Wing insole, Iron Ranger some ok and some almost too short in 11, Moc Toe I'm more satisfied with a normal insole in 11.5 because it's too narrow at the front. I'm also between sizes because Brannock HtB is probably a size larger than HtT. I removed the insole from the Truman and replaced it with one with arch support and put the shoes on a shoe stretcher. Now they are higher at the front and a little better. I'm very curious to hear what you say about which size is better. I'll wait and see, because a pair of Trumans here in Germany cost me over $700 with shipping and tax. I'm just worried that the Truman in 12D might be too big and still be just as flat and pointed as the 11.5D. I had this problem with the Iron Rangers, not perfect in 11D and too big at the front in 11.5. The 20 last are probably best for us but hard to get. Greeting and looking forward..
Saludos!!!
Absolutely awesome Boots! You’re correct on the welt, I agree . Don’t cuff your pants 👖 Everyone does that. Be different Carnal
They’re just pants
Don’t take it to serious 😂😂😂😂
I’m joking Bro
First, they look great.
Second, great trick to buy boots. Say they don't fit you, sell them, and buy another one.
Third, are they really comfy?
You know it’s true 😅
I wouldn’t buy 2 pairs of black boots in the same (style) even though they’re different leather
As for the comfort
Well I’ve only worn these 5 minutes for the video I couldn’t tell but They’re ok
how was the sizing for those? are they true to your Bannock size? The black is so beautiful
It sounds like they're half a size down and one width up from his Brannock size of 10.5D, so he got 10EE.
thanks!@@InGrindWeCrust2010
😎
Selvedge jeans?
Not really
I don’t really like them
Just my personal taste
BTW I have a couple of pairs (Brave star) never wear them.
Sweet Boots 👍
