  • During a recent outing tracking down transitioning bass, these toothy critters just wouldn’t leave me be. I edited out so much footage of pike during my hunt for largemouth and smallmouth bass that it became its own episode.
    If you’re into pike and want to find them in the areas in and around Harsens Island (HINT: Middle Channel), then you won’t want to miss this one! These monsters all around Lake St Clair this time of year!

    That Dark Sleeper was funny. It had Loose appendages, 1 eye and a slice down the side. They're not always the target species but they hit and fight hard. Great work getting them on topwater, trolling and casting.

    I kayak fished that same spot Monday morning amongst the storms using that bridge for shelter. killer large mouth bass that day.

      No kidding?! Awesome! Glad you stayed safe during those storms, we got hit hard here.
      There weren’t as many pike today but the largemouth bite is DEFINITELY heating up quickly.
      Thanks for checking it out - hope to see you out there sometime. Tight lines!👊💥🎣

      No problem Sean, well deserved! Just want you to know I’ve been listening and learning from you guys.
      Sadly, I honestly don’t KNOW if this was my PB or not. I think I’ve caught bigger thru the years…but heck, let’s just use this as a benchmark and say it is from here forward!👊💥🎣

    That one at 7:50 looked to be pretty dang solid. I feel pike during bass fishing for you is like flathead during bass fishing for me. They're fun and disappointing at the same time.

    • @live2fishofficial
      @live2fishofficial  Před 2 lety +2

      Exactly! I’ve tried to be open to the idea of sport fishing them, but when I target them they are much more elusive. When I don’t want to find them, I do to excess.🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
