Garrett this here is a panic button
Golden retriever’s we’re all gonna die
I see you bought the Eagles Roost
If you have the Freedom Factory, the shop needs to be the Liberty Lab.
HA! That’s actually really good. I second this
Second that... with them Lab coats!
Jackstand even got a coat hanger 😂
Dang it, I should have read some comments before I just suggested the same great name! Couldn’t agree more👍🗽
Yes this one^
I’ll be upset if it’s not named the Liberty Lab
As this is a motorsports shop, with cars running on dynos. It'd probably be a better idea not to have animals, especially fenced in without away to get away from the noise.
Yep, skip the animals, just end up being a headache.
Kind of agree...
From time to time you can bring the floofs and let them run back there but otherwise no animals.
I was thinking that as soon as he said the dyno was going there. Poor goats/giraffe/whatever gonna get blasted and have nowhere to run
Good point
I was going to come in here and complain about being so dismissive about the golden retrievers lol. Goldens are awesome!!!!!
Those walls are not old and crusty. That's a fire protective insulator. You'll want to keep that how it is. Just give it a wipe down. Or replace it with a similar stuff. It was installed previously because it was a welding shop. Its a fire proof insulation panel.
Definitely. If he doesn't like the look, maybe cover it in some drywall or something
I was thinking cover it with flags
Cover it with Race Banners. Holley, Nitto. But keep the 🔥 fire proof.
Cant emphasize enough to keep, the, fire, proofing.
Steel liner panel ie metal roofing would be the thing to do on those walls there will be hot sparks flying around there eventually and it would be safe relatively inexpensive fast and easy to clean
Ok, shop animal has to be a donkey!!! Jack Stand and Jack Ass. Donkeys are smart, hilarious animals and are very protective. It has to be a donkey.
I’d 110% enclose that car port. People knowing you have it out In the open. Won’t end well sadly. Driveway alarms and trail cams are your friend
All the cars were at the last shop sitting outside. And the old shop wasn’t gated like this one. It wouldn’t hurt to enclose it but I don’t think it’s high on the list for him.
Parking the most precious in the cutting room wouldn't be the worst idea, you can only drive them through the shop. Even if you have simplysafe it would be a good move
Cleetus lives 2 minutes away, I’m sure he’d love for someone to come try to steal his shit
It's florida
I wouldn’t enclose it unless it was fully closed in. If they did 3 sides it’ll be a giant sail and we all know about Florida storms.
That is the perfect place !! Congratulations!
Brent, you ROCK !
You need make a trip to FL and show those boys how to that dyno in the ground!
I love you
Hey, I think Brent just set the name as well... "the Perfect Place"
Dang, I wanted to figure out the name... what about "Not Sweden"? No? 😂
Greeting from 🇸🇪
Brent your awesome bro 🇵🇷🇵🇷
Should put banners up on the walls like Matt did at the Bunker.
Came here to make the same comment. I was thinking each car could have its own banner
The perfect name would be “Eagles Nest” .
Why don't you go ahead and google that

Might have some sketchy connotations.
I build these type buildings. We frequently line the interior with the same metal sheeting used in the outside. Called wall liners. Looks very clean and not crazy when done.
That pole barn needs some diagonal supports for lateral loads
Well if this is the private work shop to test and dial everything in. “Freedom Lab” seems pretty appropriate
I second the Freedom Lab

Freedom lab does have a nice sound to it

Good shout that 👌
Today at the Liberty Lab....
Yes, absolutely perfect. 100% Liberty lab

Having built a few shops in my day, worked in a lot of well laid out, and not so well laid out shops and having been a builder for 50 years, here's my suggestions:
Engine room:
with the dirty environment from fabing, etc, make the engine room a positive pressure room. Vent the room, and pump filtered air into the room, so there is always a positive pressure in the room, compared to outside the room. Instead of trying to seal the room to keep stuff out, the positive pressure forces the filtered air out of the room, instead of dust infiltrating into the room. Won't cost a fortune, and will work well. If you get really anal about it, double door the two doorways. That way, when you open a door, it doesn't get blown in your face, if it opens out, or is hard to open if it opens in.
Cutting Room off to side:
Put up one of those plastic strips doorways like they use in walk-in coolers, or such between the main shop and the dirty room. Easy to get through, but will keep the grindings and other shit out of the main shop. I'm adding a dirty room to my shop, this Summer; my sanders, buffers, bench grinders, sand blasting cabinet, all the stuff that produces 'grit' or dust goes out there. The cold saw can stay in the main shop, as well as the lathe, Bridgeport, the horizontal mill style tubing machine and drill press, cause they are all cutting oil users. Speaking of which. I assume you have 3 phase power already.
If you want a 3 phase cutting oil tank and cutting oil recycler, I'll give it to you. Just pay for the shipping from Oregon. It's a small foot print, 3' x 4' and has a small conveyor belt sluice box like gold miners use to separate swarf from the cutting oil, so the oil can be re-used. It has a pump built-in, so you put it by the lathe, mill, cold saw, etc, and plumb it to them for your cutting oil supply. You'll be 'uptown' w/ this unit.
A local machinery sales company gave it to me a few years ago, after they messed up and scrapped an Italian punch press I wanted to buy from them. They felt bad, and gave me some old inventory as a way of apology. Buying the press punch from them was doing them a favor, on top of it, so they felt real bad, and were very generous. Industrial oil recyclers are about 8-10,000, new; it's a serious piece of industrial equipment, and will save you dollars in cutting oil.
I also have a massive older Lincoln MIG/Stick welder; a 3 phase 325 amp serious welder. It's set up right now with 0.048" wire, so if you want to build/repair something like a trailer, crane, you know... 1/2" thick welding this is THE unit. It is big, it is ugly, but it is all copper, inside. I bought it because it has a long lead between the box and the divorced MIG gun and a long extension cord. Between the extension cord for it, (50 amp), and the divorced MIG unit, it would weld 115' from the plug.
I got it for the cost of the extension cord to the welder, (I'm keeping the extension cord), so I'll give you the damn thing if you want a piece of big welding equipment, free, (well shipping will ding you a bit.) Your new place would be a good home for both the units. They'll last you a lifetime.
The welder's on a very nicely built wheeled cart, and moves easily. I just can't pull it to Florida, though!
(you might find a subscriber driving from the NW to Florida with a pick-up or trailer, and get it hauled for nothing. Couldn't be a mini-truck, though... a real truck, 3/4 ton, at least.)
Re: old walls
Insulate the hell out of the space and sheet rock it with exterior grade sheetrock. Not the 'green' sheetrock for bathrooms, which is water resistant. This is grey and is rated to be used outside; worth the extra cost, 'cause it's humid ass Florida. Sheetrock all the way to 8' feet off the floor.
Put plywood, (pre-paint it on both sides, 'case it's wet ass Florida), up to the eight foot, where the sheet rock ended. It's perfect for shelves, cabinets etc, down the road. Make it 3/4" and you can hang anything on it, without needing to 'find a stud".
On the lower four feet of the plywood, put up sheet metal. Something like 18, or 16 gauge, The when something falls over, or someone backs into a well, or you're welding, cutting, etc, you won't have to worry about fire, or putting a hole in the wall. With the plywood behind it, it will make anchoring gas cylinders to the wall a breeze. It's a commercial building, so all the wiring will go in conduit on the exterior of the wall, anyway. You can do water supply the same way, and also it'll make plumbing air piping easier with the plywood behind the metal.
You will spend a bit extra doing it this way, but you'll appreciate the extra insulation, and be ready for the A/C, you'll eventually add, (you know you will). The extra costs, now, will make you life easier, and be an investment.
The crane:
I had a shop with a crane like that. If you can find an old post hoist, put in the ground in the arc of the crane. If you have to pull or put an engine in, put it on the hoist to get to the underneath, then pull the engine and trans in one piece. Have a bench built within the arc of the crane, so you can set, or pick up, the engine & trans on it. Separate them at bench height, then mount the spinny part of an engine stand on the end of the bench. After the engine & trans are split, use the crane to move the engine to the stand.
I sent you an email at your cleetus.com about something I'm making for you to fix the axle bolt problem in Ruby and Leroy, once and for all. Email if you have any questions about the shop ideas, or if you want the oil recycler or welder. Consider them shop warming gifts; I'm proud of you boys, and envious, as hell; you're living the life.

That was The longest comment i ever read.
You seem nice man!
@@andber Thanks... I've found it make life much more enjoyable and rewarding to be nice than to be a dick... LOL
Glad you found it interesting enough to read.
I'm envious of Cleetus and James, as well as many of the car builder/racing channels being supported by CZcamsrs. Back in my day, You had to run fast to get sponsors, and without money to build and maintain a fast car, you couldn't get sponsors.
Now, with CZcams and subscribers, I see guys break parts on their cars, and need 3-4,000 for a new part, and subscribers buy enough merchandise over the weekend, that by Tuesday, they have the money to buy the part(s). Happened on the PFI Speed channel. Hell, when PFI Speed lost their shop a couple years ago, a GoFund me account was started and enough money was donated to buy the shop PFI and the Boosted Boiz share. That brought tears to my eyes to see. (To show what kind of guy 'Cleetus' is, he donated 10,000, I heard.)
When I was drag racing in the '60's & '70's, I really wanted to go pro. Back then, if you were looking for sponsors, you'd build a car and scrape together enough money to get to Pomona, CA for the WInternationals, (the start of the NHRA season.). If you painted your car completely white, all everyone knew you were looking for sponsors. You'd race your heart out for the week, and if you got noticed, the sponsors would stop by your pit, and talk.
Different world, different times. I was a year away from going to Pomona. Had a truck, had spare engine, lots of spare parts, and a '57 Chev 2 door station wagon D/Gas, (C/Gas on the best days) drag car. I was working my ass off on my summer break from college to make enough money to buy a trailer, and some safety gear. While I was gone working, my car was stolen, and I lost it all; no insurance. That was the end of my drag racing dreams.
They have a chance to build a dream shop; hopefully they'll use some of my suggestions. They'll appreciate them, if they do. I had a dream shop in the '80's with a crane & bench setup just like I described. It was a breeze to pull and replace motors.
GeoD
That was the longest AND the second longest comments I’ve ever read 😂 I know what you mean about this crew! It is blatantly obvious even through a camera that they are genuinely good darn folks. Did they ever take you up on any of your offers or reach out to you in any way?
@@curtis026 No... but, in the end they've done a few things I suggested. When I wrote those, I didn't realize, (it wasn't obvious), Garrett had a lot more cash flow than he let on. I was under the assumption he strapped himself to buy the FF.
I did make a suggestion to him right after he bpught the FF, but he didn't understand what I was talking about. In the real estate world there's a contract called a First Right of Refusal. I suggested he & Vic swap FRoR's on the drag strip & FF. What it would do is protect each of them & their families if something happened to either of them.
If Vic crashed & burned, the FRoR would mean Bradenton could not be sold to anyone without Garrett saying yes, he'd buy it, or no he wouldn't buy it. That would protect the business relationship between the FF & BMP.
The opposite would be true for Vic.
When people die, family can do some bizarre or selfish stuff, I'm old enough to have seen it a LOT. An heir of Vic's may think all racing is a horrible environmental threat & sell the track to developers or turn it into a protected area for animsls. That would devastate Cleetus McFarlane Enterprises. Vic wouldn't want that & neither would Garrett want Vic to be harmed, if he died, causing FF to be ended.
The business are much stronger together, especially now that the FF is so successful. (I anticipated it would be.)
It was/is a solid business maneuver, they pay each other a buck for the 1st Rights, ($ must change hands to mske a contract legal.), but Garrett didn't get far enough in law school to understand what I was suggesting & he responded strangely, showing he didn't get it. He said, But Vic is a good friend of mine, why would I do that? ('That' being trade FRoR).
Garrett's went on to get some good, older advisors, (Allen, the RC guy is one), & Frank manages the FF facility for him.
I was being protective of a young kid I saw going places, so I took the time to give him the best advice I could, based on the businesses & adventures I've gotten into, in my life.
I was born 40-50 yrs too soon for YT; I lived a YT kinda life, but those around me were the only witnesses, not several million people.
The big difference is how readily $ & sponsorships/tools-parts-equipment is obtained.
When I started out in drag racing, put a car & effort together to 'Go Pro', the commonly accepted method was to paint your car white & go to Pomona for the Winternationals & race your ass off to try & make an impact.
The manufacturers knew what an all white car meant & if anyone was interested in throwing something your way, they'd show up in your pit.
It'd been done like that for 20 some years by the time I was 20 something & wanting to get serious about racing. Fortunately, I knew some older guys who campaigned a national record holder gasser in the '60's. They mentored me & let me work on the new car they were building when I was 16. Learned a LOT.
Later,
GeoD
For Jackstand Jimmy's sanity, throw a downdraft fan setup with a filter in that engine "storage/build" room, keeping it presurized so that air exits the doors when they are opened instead of dusty crap entering. Cheap and worth it! Especially after you Dyno some of the diesel stuff... that soot just gets in every corner of the shop.
I thought this exact thing. A down draft would help tremendously in that room

As a professional rigger with over 10 years experience in the field. Get rid of the wire rope hoist and go to a chain one. Way more reliable. You also won't have to redo the wire rope all the time. Add solar panels to the roof of the shop. It will cool the tin on top thus cooling the interior and supply all the power to run most of the housekeeping loads in your shop. The outside cutting area looks like the perfect location for a paint booth.
My thought exactly.
I delivered metal to that shop a few years ago. Dude lived there, made some badass stuff too. Nice property lay out too. Congrats on the new place guys!!
Just stopping by to say Happy 4th of July Garret! You're a Legend!
Dude pull the axles off that trailer and build you and James individual jet ski boat trailers so you don't always have to pack both. Then build you a boat hoist on the pole barn to move them around.
Yeah .. and if making trailers isn't on the to do list at least chop it up and salvage that angle iron. The fab guys will put it to good use.
Everyone pitching the Liberty Lab name is on point! Honestly it fits the overall brand and image better imo. Also it's Catchy and fun much like Freedom Factory. I feel this is the winner Cleet
Liberty Lair
This shop is amazing, congratulations on the absolute dream shop.
WOW!!!!!!!!! What a place. Good luck for new adventures.
The Eagles Nest, is good name as it’s where the freedom is born and nurtured
Also the name of the mountain resort for the Nazi Party.
That's a pretty good idea
I was going to suggest that name too
@@JayMS916 Damn you beat me to it hahaha! I was just about to say the same thing! I was recently working on a Battlefield 1942 map remake of Eagles Nest for my Battlefield 2 total conversion mod called Battlefield 1944. I was so fed up with how BF5 turned out and wanted to give a true HD sequel to 1942.
But yeah, not quite the best name for the place, even though it would be cool as hell. But I am anti woke SJW So it really wouldn't bother me too much.
I second this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cleetus and James staring at the bathtub.
C: Do not wash parts in here jackstand
J: That’s a good idea
C: Nooo
Cleetus I gotta give you guys props for including promotions and adds in the video, so we can skip over it because ive seen it before.
Cleetus is one of America's last true patriots. God bless you!
Goats, Big Ass Fans, and I second the “Liberty Lab” name and the insulation and covering of the internal walls for decoration and thermal management!
The only thing I would change from above is goats to fainting goats.
Hopefully you guys are using “Big Ass Fans” in the new shop! We have multiple units across all of our manufacturing buildings at work and they are sick!
Big Ass fans are badass!
They don't lie when they say big. I love them.
@@matttaylor3641 no doubt! Game changer for sure!
Big Ass Fans are the best. USA made!
We have 1 in our 10,000 sq ft diesel shop and it moves some air! We were in the process of buying two, but one does the trip, and as a bonus, super quiet!
Your post for your pole barn, don't let the wood sit on the cement like that, put a piece of Aluminum in between the wood and cement or it will wick moisture and rot. even if it is pressure treated.
Stfu, here we go fckn experts "do this do that"
@@thescout4313 you sound mad, have a snickers
@@williamkillingsworth2619 bring it to me daddy
Congratulations guys ! Living the dream!!
Congratulations! Can't wait to see what you build at "The Eagles Nest"
You should get a commerical grade washer and dryer for that hookup in the kitchen. Would be nice for your guys if they get super dirty during the day or need fresh work towels.
Needs to be named The Eagles Nest for sure
Oh man the htp stuff is the best stuff there, gotta show more of that stuff. Good luck in new shop looks awesome
The Liberty Lab sounds sick, but I also like the Bald Eagle Barn
Freedom Force 1
White metal roofing for interior walls. Durable, easy to clean, affordable, and looks good.
I agree roof decking would be the easiest.
We're so excited to see this shop journey! 🙌
Peacocks, love you guys thank you for a amazing show. Fire Me Up Factory!❤
Bet that pole barn gets enclosed with overhead doors in no time... What a find the entire place is, and the added tools are a killer bonus!!! Congrats Guys!!!
That was my immediate thought
Fun fact. The goats were there so the previous ones owner could label the land as agricultural and get a tax break. The things u learn in real estate class never thought I’d use it here lol
Not completely true all of the time goat cheese is pretty good. But I know people tha cut their grass only 2 times a year to classify as farm land for tax cut
You also can’t live in the shop, (apparently he did at times) but there’s a workaround if you have farm animals. It’s how I am able to have a permanent address in an rv
It costs more to feed that damn animals then it is to just pay the taxes lol
@@randomchannel4886 Are you familiar with how much property taxes can be? lol
@@randomchannel4886 that's a negative, 10 areas of zoned commercial would be absolutely brutal, and its Florida goats don't really need to be fed if they have room to graze.
Looking great dude! Grats on the shop team Cleetus
That is awesome can't wait to see what comes for the new shop.
I second “The Eagles Nest” for the shop
I dont think thats the best name right now. Google "the eagles nest".
@@jlamarche1088 For fucks sake, not EVERYTHING is about hitler or nazis
For the walls. Insulate it then put 1/4inch ply over it all then, paint it all white, cover in flags, banners, stickers etc 👌
Half inch. Quarter gets really wavy
Durock, then epoxy with metalflake.
Congratulations on all your success! Looking forward to watching you outgrow this new locations. Haha
NICE!! Excellent place, guys. Congratulations! I think the llama idea is a good one.
And don't worry about the exterior walls...it's a shop!
"You told us to not come and we came anyway" Man, what is wrong with people.
too dumb...dint teach.....(Its not like hoonigan used to be where you could show up to buy some merch and maybe get to do a burnout. Besides, people are crazy. Sometimes batshit doesn't have anything on some folks)
Yeah i don't get it.
Live 15 minutes from the old shop and never had an inkling of want to show up there.
It also makes sense to get out of that shop now too they're building a highway like right next to that shop thats gonna be busier then hell
It's one thing to get a pic in front of the FF (all while leaving them alone) but coming to the shop when you have been told not to is uncalled for.
Floridaman shit lol
Everyone thinks they'll be the cool one and the guys won't mind. It's simple. Don't bug people in their place of work. Just... don't.
The new shop should be named the "Eagles Nest". That's where bald eagles are made, in the nest!!!
He might have ruined that one. The socialists always do.
LoL I had just typed the same thing then come to your comment. Like the way you think!
Came here to say this but knew on my heart it was already said lol
@@ElevatedKustoms I like it..
This is a awesome shop I would recommend closing in the back side of the pole barn itll really help with cross winds and keep stuff cleaner
