I'm glad to hear you and be able to understand most of what you said even if my little smattering of German is rusted after long years of no exposure and no practice at all. It was also interesting that whether the lamps followed the mains frequency and flickered on camera or not (Philips one), they all made the displays in the power meter flicker like crazy when brought close to it. Of course, I can assume there's some very simple explanation to that, but my knowledge of electronics is extremely limited.
The power meter's display is multiplexed, this means it turns on one segment after the other, fast enough so that this is not visible to the eye. However, when the led lights are pointed at the camera, it gets so bright that the camera has to use an extremely fast shutter speed to compensate. The fast shutter speed means that each frame of the video has a very short exposure time. So short, that only individual segments of the display are recorded. This is why the display looks so strange on video.

Von Osram habe ich hier auch viele LED-Retrofit-Lampen, davon ist bislang keine ausgefallen, aber das Warmweiß sieht schon ziemlich gelb aus.
Good comparison. There are some other tests that can be performed on LED bulbs to fully characterise them as well:
- Weight of the bulb.
- Flicker comparison using oscilloscope (+photodiode/mini solar cell) to see quantitative frequency and pattern in addition to the quantitative camera test.
- Behaviour with capacitative coupled currents (using a low-value capacitor in-line) to check there is no ghost glow or blinking.
- RF noise using an AM radio - see how close it can get before interference appears.
The choice of the Lidl bulb as better is certainly a good choice, good CRI is essential. I myself have bought some of their GU10 bulbs in glass cases and they seem to perform well with good colour rendering.

The HOPI apparently is a very universal tool... and to be honest the only thing I care about these LED bulbs is how many SMD LEDs are (as Big Clive would put it) grilling in series.
Spec wise I still have to find a LED bulb's shade that I prefer over a CFL. And still I reckon incandescent is best... it's just so inconvenient: it burns and you waste a lot of energy as heat. And I know one thing: where I have inc. bulbs I can trust them for years and years... even dacades. Where I installed LED I expect to go at any moment... I've had several bulbs fail within hours, never seen anything like that with the worst of the resistive bulbs.
@@m80116 I'm wondering what do you mean by trusting incandescents for many years or "even decades" Sure enough you mean bulbs in a kind of application where they aren't on for any prolonged amount of time and are seldom used, like a bulb in an elevator machinery room, storage space, maybe a pantry, or something like that? I mean, an incandescent light does not last lots of years (like nearly a decade) by any stretch of the imagination if used everyday in a living room, kitchen... as it only has a lifecycle of like 1000 hours.
Ich bin voll und ganz bei dir als du sagtest Warmweiß ist oft einfach "Gelb" ..
Besonders bei den LED-Retrofit-Lampen von Osram ist mir das aufgefallen...
joa.... den Müllerlicht minuspunkt kann ich verstehen; sind eben meist auch die Günstigsten!
anfangs war ich meist sehr begeistert; leider alles kurz von dauer weil eben verhältnismäßig wieder früh kaputt

Eine von den Müllerlicht-LED-Lampen (verkauft unter der Marke Casaya) die ich hatte war direkt im Neuzustand schon defekt, sie flackerte. Ich dachte, das würde an der alten Lampenfassung liegen, deswegen hatte ich erst darin herumgebogen und schließlich aufgegeben. Erst nachdem eine zweite von diesen Lampen auch anfing zu flackern, kam ich darauf, dass der Fehler nicht in der Fassung, sondern in der Lampe lag!
Ich bin bislang sehr zufrieden mit diversen LED-Lampen der "Toom" Eigenmarke. Aber keine Ahnung, welcher Hersteller dahinter steckt.
