    Sir, please explain why in this definition it is given that a *non bonded* compound is formed, even though there is coordination bond(covalent bond) in complex compound?

    Why is [Pt(py)4][PtCl4] called tetrakis(pyridine)platinum(II) tetrachloroplatinate(II) and not tetrapyridineplatinum(II) tetrachloroplatinate(II)?
    I thought we use tetrakis for ligands that contain numerical prefixes. I don't understand how pyridine contain numerical prefixes.
