  • Quantum Rehab® batteries can last well into the third year of usage, but they must be maintained properly. In this week’s edition of Mastering Mobility, we’ll show you how to get the most out your batteries, covering topics such as how and when to charge your batteries, why it’s important to use the original charger that came with the powerchair, and more.

Explain how my Quantum Edge 3, plugged in at night showing 98% charge, still has the charger light blinking indicating charging 10 hours later.

Hi Stephen, thank you for reaching out to us. If your charger is blinking green, that means it has gone into a float stage to prevent overcharging those batteries. That sounds like it is operating as intended. :)

@@QuantumRehab It starts blinking from that start of charging though. Given enough time it goes to solid green, which the Manual says as blinking = Charging then solid = Charged. How long does it stay blinking red before going solid green? I know that if given enough time that it will go solid green. Even if plugged in at 100%, it is still blinking red after charging overnight not a solid green, 8+ hours later. It doesn't go Green by morning, not even after being plugged in with a 100% overnight.
