I’d argue it’s actually the Orange and Ampeg amplification that gets this sound, more than the guitars that are used, but the use of guitars with humbucking pickups definitely plays a part as well

I am so bummed when you came to America I was going to see you guys at 3 shows. My mom died the day before the San Diego show. If I don't get a chance to see you guys in America I will take a trip to Greece to see you. I turn people on to 1000mods all the time. You guys are truly a world class band.
I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. 1000Mods are a world class band and they're only going to get bigger. I tell people all the time about this band and how good they are. Me and my wife listen them every day as well as my 2 daughters and son as they have no choice but to listen to 1000Mods. Did you know they are recording a new album very soon!
Saw them when they came to New Orleans. Small bar, maybe 50 people, they still killed it and put just as much energy into it as they do on this video.

I know I'm late to the party... I grew up in the 70's listening to ELP, Sabbath, Rush, King Crimson, etc... after my first listen of these 1000 Mods guys, wow... this is some good music, looking forward to listening to their catalog. I had the same expereience with Porcupine Tree not long ago. It's what makes music great for a critical listener... finding a new band and sound and exploring it.
Yep, I'm 56. Grew up with those bands, stadium concerts, etc. The past several years I've spent a lot of time catching up on music I've missed, particularly in the stoner and doom genre. So much good stuff out there and so much still being made. Just have to know where to look.
I'm a bit late myself, but no reason to give up. I know what I like and I won't settle for anything else.

I found 1000mods by chance on youtube. Listened to the entire Super Van Vacation album immediately on youtube and this is the most blown away I've been by a band in years.

Yup ... Quite a surprise for me as well, but they have the groove for it. Found Wrathblade a few years ago, and a video of theirs led me to other Greek bands.

This has all three requirements for an absolutely killer auditory and visual experience: excellent audio quality, a kick-ass song, and crowd worthy of it.

Who would have thought YT would intro me to my favorite band. Im frustrated that it took me so long to hear 1000mods, Planet of Zeus and Nightstalker. This shit is eargasm inducing. Vidage is epic and should be played loud and often.
Give Villagers of Ioannina City a listen, too - their latest album 'Age of Aquarius', that is, because their previous stuff is more on the folk rock side. Although imo that kicks ass as well. 🙋 from 🇬🇷
