    Saw him about 10 years ago in a comedy club. We had dinner reservations there beforehand and my wife insisted on sitting at a table up front. I told her that just makes you a likelier target, but....
    When the emcee came out, I figured I had enough time to get to the restroom and back before Bob came out. Wrong. He started roasting me as I walked back to our table and continued to throughout his act. It was great. After learning it was our anniversary, he even picked up our drink tab at the end. And of course, he was hilarious. RIP

I couldn't think of what to ask him so I asked him what he thought of the terminal. He said "yeah, it's pretty nice." I just retired last year. We should probably name that concourse for him now, he was one of the first people to go through it. It ended up being named after Barry Goldwater but who remembers that guy? He was a has-been. Some real time and effort went into that photograph bit. That's comedy. His act was notoriously filthy, which is as good as an antiseptic for what ails us in these tense times. He'll be missed.

    If there was ever one show that many of us took for granted (including myself), it was The Tonight Show with JC…back in the day, it would come on and we’d flip on by with little regard. Little did we know that the show…and Johnny…would quickly become a lost American gem and institution. If I could only go back and watch those episodes live before bed on my parent’s Zenith crt TV…every weeknight at 10:30CDT. Moral of the story-those “golden years” are actually happening this very second. Don’t take time for granted. Embrace every moment as if it’s your last…because time flies by so darn fast.

    I remember back in the 80's Bob was on Full House and the Funniest Videos and was like the biggest guy in showbiz for a little while.
    You have to be really lucky. When it comes to a cardiac arrest.
    When I had mine I was driving taxi and it slowly bumped into a car at a dealership.
    I must have just put it in gear at a stop sign.
    The car salesman ran out and broke the window.
    The paramedics had to do 6 electric shocks on me.
    My downtime was 30 minutes. Downtime is when you're dead.
    I woke up in Vancouver General ICU 10 days later.
    The nurse came in and asked 'Do you know where you are?;
    I guessed Vancouver right. I had like a VIP room with a view of the street. I love Vancouver.
    Then she asked 'Do you know how long you've been here"'
    No idea.
    She said 10 days.
    And I asked 'Are you sure' a bunch of times so she came over with a calendar and counted out the days for me since I had got there.
