Flight to Block Island Memorial Day 2015 - ATC Audio -

My first attempt to land on Block Island RI (KBID) on Memorial Day 2015. Some gusty crosswinds - 14 gusting to 18. Made for a bumpy approach but not dangerous. Lisa doesn't close the door all the way and panics. We took our friends to walk around the island, eat, shop and just take in the salt air. This video has a collage of pictures from the island. Block is great. Been there a bunch this summer. Probably too much. There are so many great places to visit in New England but from home to block is 40 minutes and so many things to do. Where's your home base Aiden?

I,m Based at KFRG , Republic , Long Island , trained there , got my private and actually today is my one year anniversary of my Instrument Rating .! whats your home base ??

I'm at KMMK in Meriden, not far from you. I've been to FRG a couple times doing Pilot n Paws rescue flights. Never very long though. Congrats on the IR, I'm studying now, need to be more focused and get it done.
Are you a member of Shareaviation.com? It's like Facebook for pilots, there are few pilots from FRG on there.

+GA Flying IR is great , really sharpens up the whole VFR side of flying , altitude and heading hold . well it did for me ! . I,m on Share m not that often , I usually post links from my channel here . Should spend more time on there . Been to MMK a few times during private training , XC etc .. good luck with the IR ..
