One of the few content creators that understands not every card can be S/A-Tier 👏 🎉
Perfect timing! I'm a small spender missing a lot of series 5 cards suffering from analysis paralysis. This helps a lot! Thanks 🎉
Fantastic structure. And I winced in acknowledgment and sighed in remembrance for lost keys when Selene, Caiera, and Grandmaster graced the screen.
Grandmaster just got a huge buff and I’m using him to great effect in C2.
I think Caiera is going to be very useful in a Sasquatch + zoo + Skaar deck.
@@Skyhigh91100 they can all be dope , once buffed or re-worked. I have a lot of confidence in SD to do right by them. But looking at them and the empty place more currently playable cards could go is still big ooof!
Same here buddy! What was I thinking?
The only thing I would have loved is a final look at the whole list at the end. Going through it can be a lot of (really good) information so a peek at the complete list in the last section would have help solidify it all in a real way. I know people might just skip to that, but for me having that cap would have been excellent for sythasis of information. Otherwise this was great!
Unfortunately, full summary pages at the end is bad for metrics because people see it on the preview and skip to it not watching anything.
Yeah I figured. Sorry to hear it, but totally understood.
@@HooglandiaSnapI am people, first thing I did was skip to the end of the video 😅
I understand why Nico is at the end for the pacing, but you have to advertise that card at the front I swear it's in like half my decks and I will sub a card for it all the time. Love the video also! Since I stopped spending as much on the game vids like these really help me think smarter about my purchases.
Love the video and always appreciate your opinions.
I think it might have been helpful to put the series number up with the cards so if you are thinking of a s4 vs s5, how much you would need to save.
This is a great video, Jeff. Thank you! I think you did an excellent job of packing a ton of information into a 20'ish minute video.
I've had wolf pinned for weeks, I had a feeling he would get buffed sooner rather than later. Can't wait to get him!
Enjoy learning Wolf. He’s was a blast before the nerf.
Nice I just pin white widow. Hope you get him soon
Always love to see this kind of vids becuase they confirm my purchase decisions... or prove me wrong... usually the former...
Thank you, Mr. Hoogland.
Thank you for this! Im a newer player and lot of tier lists I’ve found seem outdated between nerfs and new synergies. Very helpful 🙏
Great video Jeff. Thanks for all the information.
Ive been repping Supergiant and have found her quite good at slowing down engines like Destroy or Elsa, as well as mitigating lockout cards like Hobgoblin or Prof X, while also sometimes allowing me to cook something like a Mystique or a Taskmaster of my own. She really didnt feel worth it as much when she had to compete with Leech at the same price point, but I think she will continue to do work now that I am quite expecting Bounce to swing back with the WWBN/GM buffs
Pixie is the most fun and interesting card in Snap imo. And if you want to sweat she can be very competitive too (if you have Mobius to go with her)
Appreciate your commentary, and I think it's valuable for many players to understand some of the considerations when choosing how to spend resources wisely. Thanks!
Really well timed! I have 6k tokens right now and it seems like the only archetype defining card I dont have is Pixie so that'll be my next card
just recently starting playing about a month ago, appreciate these videos a ton! Great content as usual.
Amazing format for the tier list, only thing I’d like differently is maybe some kind of visualization of the groups when you’re done so I can screenshot and save it lol
please for the next tier list video remember mentioning eventual upcoming series drops or spotlight caches involving these cards. anyway love the way you split the various tiers, great insight
I explicitly did not include cards in here that will be series 3 in June.
You can find a spotlight cache review here: czcams.com/video/BWHT64xaHcw/video.html
I do those monthly typically.
the way i have 5/6 of the "kang tier" cards 😭😭😭
Not only have I liked this video, I'm going to save it in a playlist to refer to future deckbuilding options in the coming seasons. This was a very informative and helpful video to not only show off potential archetype builds, but also a way of mitigating collection grind by giving reasonable alternatives that are worth considering as you progress.
This video might not be valid for future seasons - it might even change tomorrow or after any OTA/patch. Jeff keeps releasing up-to-date ones regularly though so I'd say keep following those.
Been waiting for an updated tier list!
Phenomenal video, just came back after several months leave and I feel much better about how to go about spending my resources
Excellent timing!
Super helpful guide Jeff, especially for F2P players like myself. Great work as always.
Thanks jeff for the breakdown of the good and not so good cards.
And also for giving the alternate for the evasive cards
Keep up the good work
I enjoyed the multiple costume changes throughout the video!
Jeff this was very well done even as someone who has most of the cards this did a great job of explaining where every card stands as defining or not.
Fantastic video Jeff!
Very helpful, thank you for this list.
I liked the old classes with wide and niche cards, but this one works just fine for me too
Great video as always. I am right now exactly in thinking over buying Pixie or US Agent, so Jeff's opinion was helpful
Pixie make games fun one of coolest cards imo
same here, pixie or us agent...us agent seems to be used in the best meta deck now tho
bounce and surfer will be meta so us agent isn't needed
Great video !
Good stuff as always Jeff.
Good guide
Question though: US Agent or Namora? Have tokens enough for one (and Jean after her drop) and no one else I'm missing is really relevant to anything
I'd go us agent.
This is definitely different and I'll admit it's a little hard to remember everything without a chart or something. With that said I do agree with you in most cases. Arc type cards should be top priority for people. Or ones that have a job that no one else can do like iron lad for example.
Grandmaster might be getting a buff going to 2/2 i think will step it up a ton ?
The changing of t-shirt during the video got me.
Great video, but I feel like you missed out mentioning the upcoming Series Drop as part of your analysis, as that would also heavily factor into how viable some of these cards are to purchase right now.
I did not include any of the cards downgrading to series 3 in this review.
This is one of your best videos! Update it monthly, please.
I love this. It's so helpful for us free-to-play people, with limited resources.
Great info Mr Hoogland
Excellent Video. Best content you make. Really.
What an awesome piece of content here!
I liked this format!
If you had to choose between Annihilus and Loki, which one would you choose? Loki seems more fun and i like that quinjet type deck while annihilus who's very strong just seems to get stale with his deck
My thought process was the same when High Evo was released: I thought I won't like his playstyle. He was so hyped up that I bought him and I regretted it.
So my suggestion is to always get the card that you enjoy to play regardless of strength. Having a strong card is pointless if you don't even want to play it. That's why I think you should get Loki.
Nailed it Jeff!
Where can I get one of those color changing shirts? /s
11:45 rip the Baron Zemo image with old Baron Mordo text
I have supergiant out of a random opening from a key. I don’t know how to use her effectively
love the t-shirt variety
Elsa or Cannon? I have all cards to play Elsa in Loki/Move and Cannon in Lockdown. Who should i go for?
I would prioritize the archetype defining cards personally.
Great timing. I have to hang laundry and need something to listen to.
Plus I have 5000 tokens and wondering if I grab wolf or agent.
What would y’all choose out of cannon ball, sage, red guardian, Jeff, mockingbird , white widow , and x-23 😅 or should I wait for new cards
I’m missing almost all the cards you’ve mentioned and leaning toward the Red Guardian.
@@eugene1640 he is really annoying definitely considering but for some reason cannonball is speaking to me 🤔 but Idk I’m still very iffy man
I use caiera im few my decks and I really enjoy that card. Definetly not kang tier :P
Jeff is the only person I trust with my collector tokens and spotlight keys
Amazing video for people like us, who is missing cards and don't know how to spend their resources
This was outstanding, thanks Jeff 🐋
I feel the loss of both us agent and red guardian..both are soo good
Your grandmaster getting buffed prediction was spot on. You still think he's kang tier after getting buffed to 2-2?
I’m a casual player but losing the Ravonna synergy seems like a net negative imo
waiting for more werewolf decks
New player here trying to complete series 3 yet but I have loki pin down
What about Namora? Now I don't know how strong she is.
Spent the whole video wondering where he'd place Nico, thought I missed something before the end. As a dolphin she's the one card I truly need, but I missed her with 3 keys on her spotlight, and she's never once appeared in the shop...
FYI cards in the shop don't repeat till you've seen them all, so you'll snag her there eventually.
Is Annihilus still worth it after the nerf to Sentry?
Annihilus is remains one of the top performing cards in the game.
"Phoenix force has had moments in the sun" I see what you did there.
Kang tier cracked me up. Great format.
Argggghh. I'm torn between pixie and red guardian. I've just seen red guardian turn off so much good stuff
I'm getting mockingbird, so many decks use her
No mention of the mighty Howard the duck?
To this day I am still salty that Kang was the last card I got from the collection track
Oof
guys please help me choose which is better, is it Annihilus or Werewolf
Depends on what you want to play most.Though the Werewolf + Anni deck is best your other choices are Werewolf Bounce or Anni Hawk / Anni Clog. Do keep in mind that both cards were last seen in spotlights in January and datamine shows that they won't be in any future spotlights until the end of July .
Edit: I think there is a high chance of either of them appearing in Spots in August or September (if you're willing to wait).
They are in really different deck, and depend on what you already have:
Annihilus
- Clog deck
- Requires Sentry, Hood
- Sentry is getting nerfed in near future
- Can be combined with galactus or darkhawk
- Easy to play, really predictable, but fun to clog opponents board
Werewolf by Night
- Bounce Deck
- Best with beast, Nico, falcon, Hit monkey and other small on reveal cards
- Harder to play, less predictable, but can win big.
- Werewolf is getting massive buff (4->3 cost)
If you like easy to play deck, get Annihilus. If you want a challenge, get Werewolf. If you don't have their keycards (Sentry, Beast), skip them.
TLDR: Wait before buying either of them to see what tomorrow's OTA will do.
Right now, Annihilus is definitely better than Werewolf. Annihilus used to see a lot of play before Leech buff forced high cost On Reveals largely out of the meta. Meanwhile, Werewolf hasn't been played in the meta in a considerable time. That being said, the leaked OTA, if true, does have potential to change this significantly tomorrow. Supposedly, Sentry will be nerfed to be a 4/8 that generates a 4/-8 Void, which will cut the Sentry Annihilus combo by 4 points. Meanwhile, Werewolf is becoming a 3/1, which is likely to be better, though how much better isn't exactly clear. Still a substantial buff, though.
Is Anni without White Widow still playable in this current Meta? I think Werewolf is more flexible to put on alot of deck right?
@twistandice7895 I would say yes. Annihilus for a while now has been part of a Junk package with The Hood and Sentry. You can jam the three of those in a bunch of decks and use them effectively. White Widow is often used in pure junk decks, but is not required for Annihilus himself.
That being said, again, I would highly recommend waiting until the OTA, because it's likely Werewolf is buffed and Sentry (and, by extension, Annihilus) are changed.
I would classify Caiera as fine given the damage she's done to the Shang Chi Sore Loser Club.
High evo Blink is going to stonks after the ota
Nice big top end and then there's actually a point to play high evo and Blink it to a hulk
Nice big top end and then there's actually a point to play high evo and Blink it to a hulk
I laughed at "Kang Tier" till I saw Caiera (my Phoenix Force enabling queen)
I did in fact spend the fourth key on her
Caiera is great in Zoo, Patriot, move, Phoenix force. PPL sleep yo!
Got back to infinite 2wice using her in a zoo deck immediately after getting her. Haven’t used her alot recently but anything other than destroy where your scaling a 1 drop like Kitty, you want that protection and Armour is fine, but she won’t protect a Blob in a lane she’s not in!😊
Giant will have her Super Day too!
KANG TEIR! 😆
You forgot MMM
Nico Tier is great
Nico fanclub rise up
Hope or X-23? Help lol
If you want to play destroy, you basically need x-23.
Untill u said she is REALLY thought the last card wss gonna be howard lmao
Having knull and x-23 in strong and loki in fine feels like.... a choice
Stop listening to creators constantly complaining about Loki despite him having mediocre stats. Rots your brain.
Love your content, but absolutely hate SD. videos like these really show the huge problems i have with the philosophy of card acquisition. As someone who loves to build tons of decks and have the ability to play best decks instantaneously this game sucks late game. tokens are so hard to come by or are so expensive that they essentially mean nothing. Everyone on reddit says the main way to get cards is through spotlight, but both keys and tokens are so valuable that i'm never incentivized to get the lower tier/less useful or interesting cards. It feels so greedy. just put a gacha system with lower percentage of getting series 4 cards back into collector cache
What a weird way to say you want everything for free.
@@HooglandiaSnap haha this is almost true. I’m more than willing to drop $$$ for series 5 cards that I can’t get with the resources I already have. Like if I use my keys and there’s a card that drops I absolutely want I’m more than willing to buy bundles credits gold etc. but series 4 cards are where it hurts
First time being first lol
