    DESCRIPTION FOR CHATAMARI: What is Chatamari | How is Chatamari made.
    Chatamari is one of the most popular Newari food which is like a crepe made of rice flour and optionally it can be topped with variety of topping especially ground buff or pork meat and egg. The topping can also be vegetables which is seasoned with many flavours like cumin powder, coriander powder, tomatoes, onions, green chilli etc.
    Hope you like this “How to make CHATAMARI” video recipe.
    INGREDIENTS FOR CHATAMARI (Newari Food)
    For Rice Flour Base:
    1 cup rice flour
    1 cup water (depends on consistency)
    For Toppings:
    300 grams chicken
    ¼ cup finely chopped onions
    ½ cup diced tomatoes
    1 tsb garlic / ginger paste
    salt as per your taste
    3 Eggs
    ¼ cup coriander leaves chopped
    ½ tsb cumin seeds powder
    2-3 chopped green chillis

      You are very welcome! If egg bara you are making then 7-8 minutes each side on low-medium flame. But if you are making chicken keema bara than at least 9-10 minutes on low-medium flame. Thanks

      You can skip meat and egg.
      Cut the veggis you like into small cubes. Stir fry for some minute in butter or ghee and use them instead of meat.

      Tosandas Supreme :
      Bara is very easy to make... just soak some black split moong dal for few hours at least 4-5 hours, rub the soaked daal in between your palms as much as you can and drain the water. Blend the soaked daal using some water. Pour the blended daal in a bowl, add some finely chopped ginger, garlic, green chillies, salt and mix well. Heat up the pan, add some oil into the heated pan and put half a cup of mixture into the pan, now spread it and cook for 2-3 mins on each side until its cooked in medium heat. Serve with any meat gravy or chutney. I hope this is helpful.
