Nice patience in the Lavinia match. A good example showcasing the power of card parity.
Omnath’s ability actually just cares that it has 3 colored pips, not that they are different colors. Perfectly cool though if that’s the theme you were going for!
Yeah, multicolored cards are naturally going to be easier to cast or enable us to cast other multicolored cards from hand.
XYZ is easier to cast than XXY or ZZZ when your enabler (your commander) itself is already WXYZ.
@@LegenVDnecropotence has 3 pips which will trigger omnath on upkeep and can be easily cast by the omnath mana. Cards like sphinx's revelation can also trigger omnath as well and is an x spell to sink black mana.
@@urgoingtojail3892 True, Necropotence is just very difficult to cast early without that ability. I try not to rely too much on my commander surviving for cards to be castable or functional when building my deck.

The funny thing is they run basically all the counters but with no sign of a wincon. If ya want to counter my stuff, cool just have a way to win the game otherwise we just sit here doing nothing until you run out of spells. Just "no fun" lol
@@cluckoftheduck That's the problem, the wincon is the other person not wanting waste 30 minutes on a single game against the most skilless bullshit possible lol... Making a deck without a wincon should just be an auto-loss.

Locus of All feels like a card specifically printed to validate Meeting of the Five because what other deck possibly reliably wants a 5 color card that specifically cares about casting 3-color cards

Pretty sure the lavinia player's only game plan was to counter and remove things until the opponent quits. You didn't quit though, and as soon as you actually got something through, he just gave up immediately. Too funny.

at 43:00, Even if you didn't hit a black card couldn't you tap a non-black land during your draw phase and have it filter to black during your main phase? Or Main phase into second main phase if you forgot?

"our opponent has had enough" - often happens way later than I expect. Some of these opponents put up with a ton of shenanigans
23:35 to pay for ruinous ultimatum you can float some mana in the first main phase, pass to the second, then the omnath turns it black. Round about color fixing!

I built omnath on arena as well, and I still miss so many interactions with his floating black mana ability. Even after dozens of games, I still get to the end of the opponent's turn, and arena has even been programmed to hold priority for me (to float the mana) and I just sit there staring at my board trying to figure out why it isn't auto passing to my turn!

Omnatos is goated, I tried to play it charm tribal and x spells but now I changed to legends tribal and keep omnath for value and to help mana

Really love the deck idea and commander, however I have a question: how would a budget version of this deck look like and how well would that perform ? Also with a budget aspect in mind how would the land fixing mechanic look like. Do you have a solution / suggestion for that ?

Man, I have never seen LVD miss an ability so many times. It didn't have any impact in the games that I've seen so far but not floating mana to be converted could have been a big deal!

Why does the on-screen text seem to imply that LVD should have floated mana at the end of his turn to preserve it? Omnath says nothing about turns. He can still float the mana at the end of the opponent's turn; in fact that's optimal as an implies he could be keeping non-Black spells open.

Avacyn’s Pilgrim sets up an early omnath, it didn’t make the cut because it’s easy to remove, or because the white mana isn’t particularly useful outside of Omnath? As always, exquisite gameplay and brilliant explaination of strategy. Thanks for the amazing content

You could have floated one black mana with Onmaths ability to a main phase to cast ultimatum. I loved the new omnath but never knew quite how to build a deck with him.

I think this deck should include Spelunking.
Moonside is the type of player that makes people hate blue. Does almost nothing the entire game other than counter spells, then baby scoops as soon as they run out of counter spells.

@@jdiaz2809 100% agreed! I got a pretty fast Anim Pakal Deck that actually performs pretty well against these kinds of decks, but even the wins arent much fun. Kill me with Ragavan in 5 Seconds or poison me with Fynn - anything is better than this.

This deck performed very well for me. Not sure if they moved it into the hell queue recently, which would certainly affect its win rate. Regardless, it’s important to know which hands to mulligan.
I understand not sticking in a game you're not enjoying, but sheesh every single match was a concession, and only a few were dead on board. Just feels disrespectful.
This is probably the worst deck I've ever seen you play. You just have a huge number of shit multicolor cards and a pretty good chance of being mana screwed. I'm pretty disappointed with you.
