    So thankful that my builder provided pricing before I even went in via their website 😅 I would have been in trouble if I couldn’t get a ballpark ahead of time lol

    I've now watched like 10 of these design center videos and this one has been the best of actually showing the process, thank you!

    Some of these upgrades are surprising. A separate shower in the main bath, hardware on the cabinets and a stair railing are typically standard.

    It’s a pretty underhanded sales tactic to not provide the prices initially. They should have these prices listed on their website so you can look at them before you go in. Who goes shopping for anything without knowing the price?

      They can give you the prices if you ask. Most people only ask after they are at the design center. You have to be firm on a budget before you get there.

      @@RiseUtah Ive found that the most guarded secret second only to the nuclear bomb codes is the "price list" of the upgrades in the Design Centers. Its by design they want you to go in to your appointment confused and without info that would have you more prepared

    The Camera person needs to show the things they point to.

    If possible, I'd prefer to be an "owner-builder" & keep it simpler with a smallish (1000sf) house, with high-durability everything!! Nothing fancy!

    It would have been helpful if the person recording the video actually moved the camera in the direction of the items that the design consultant was discussing!

    Would of liked to know the prices of the levels and the difference of prices between levels.

    • @RiseUtah
      @RiseUtah  Před 3 lety +1

      Prices change all the time so it’s impossible to give numbers. Just realize that you have options and the builder wants to temp you into upgrading as much as possible. Know you budget and stick to it.

    Lots of stuff that should be included as an upgrade here. Don't love it.

    • @RiseUtah
      @RiseUtah  Před rokem

      True. Knowing what is and is not included before going under contract is important. Most people get "trapped" into spending more than they had planed because they get carried away with all the beauty of the design center. As we say in the business, "everyone's favorite color is new".

    Saying "you guys" to a couple is very rude and the saleswoman said it four times in the first minute.

      you saying its rude, doesn't make it universally so. Not many people really care.
