Harry, gotta disagree with your points excepting the fact that your last 2 trade candidates probably don't have value. We do have a strong RB room. That said, if another team lost their starting RB in the preseason games, I'd be willing to move either Herbert or Johnson for a 3rd/4th. Keeping both has strong value, but if another team is willing to pony up a bit, either one could be had. Borom is really not an option. He has value just in being serviceable should we lose an OT in preseason. That other swing tackle really isn't on his level, so trying to save a couple mil wouldn't be reason enough. He's tradeable, but only if a team is willing to give up something. You don't give away your insurance policy for a 7th round pick. That's just crazy talk. Finally, Velus might have some takers, but with our QB change, it might be worthwhile keeping him. Sure, I'd listen to offers, but once again not looking to just ditch the guy for a 7th rounder. Let's see if he's put some effort into getting better hands in the offseason.
I guess I'm a Khalil Stan, but unless they can get a 5th rounder or better, I want him to stay on the Bears. He is a good player, and offers a different skillset than what Roschon provides.
Greg stromen plays Nickle too though. And they kept him on the practice squad last year. Also Flus loves Jaylon Jones so I doubt he gets moved.
We need to keep Herbert as depth. We were down to our 3rd string RB last year. Do u want Travis Homer to have to start if Johnson and Swift go down?
Don’t see much trade value potential for Velus Jones or Larry Borom. They will wait and see if they get cut before giving up picks for either one.

Yannick if we must. But he would be my last option. A lot of better options still out there. He's coming off a serious injury and laid down on us for the 1st 8 games. He'll do it again. Just hanging on for the pay check.

Herbert would fetch 6th rounder at best. I think he’s worth more to the Bears. Issue is he’s below avg in passing situations. I’d take a 5th without question though

Once again, WHY TRADE a good RB. Who's goin to come in for Swift, I honestly believe Hebert is better than Swift, he just hasn't given the full opportunity. Roschon Johnson hasn't done much and I don't know why alot of people think that Herbert can't catch passes smh. Right when you beef up the team, people want to get rid of key players smh.
I agree we shouldn’t trade Herbert, but Roschon Johnson would be very good at RB2. Roschon is a great pass blocker, pass catcher, and runs downhill. Doesn’t have the same explosiveness, but he was a better pass blocker as a rookie
@@marticusquarles3803 i agree with you on all points, except one…I think he has had plenty of opportunity. And he has played well, I hope we don’t trade him. I would need at least a third or he is a Bear till contract is up.
@jacklatta1890 I feel like he hasn't. Just because he hasn't got to be the starter. I felt he was used to much in so many ways. You see when he's carrying the ball, that's his highest success and least chance of being injured. He's only had injuries (2 or 3) when running a route. He can play receiver as well. But I think it's better to use a RB more for carries, even tho they may can play receiver as well. Plus Herbert was splitting to much of the carries. Like I said, if he was just able to be more neutral just running the ball, people will see alot more out of him.

@andrebryant5081 Yea they really are. To be honest. Which I was surprised Ryan Poles signed him. What's crazy is that Swift contract was more than Henry's. I still think it would be better if Henry (of course) was on the team. Believe it or not, some people think that Herbert may not be pro bowl type. But he definitely has it and can make pro bowl. Herbert just bigger than Swift and height, that's the only difference. Both of their catch ratio is neck to neck and believe it or not. Herbert's catch success was better than Swift's, in the end of last season. Swift went on a slump the 2nd half of the season. Only thing that held Herbert back last season, was the ankle injury.

Velus needs to be given a chance, great potential on special teams and needs some backup RB reps too. He has a gadget role and special team role. Borom is a hard trade for that 3 million a year.
Velus is awful no matter where he’s at. Guy needs to be cut or relegated to the practice squad

We don't need 2 elusive guys especially when 1 can catch out of the backfield and the other couldn't catch covid in NYC. Ro Johnaon can easily be HB2. Trade Herbert now while there's still going to be a market for him or lose him at the end of the season and gain nothing. Those are really the options here.
