Lovely jacket. I have a type 3 Levi’s denim jacket with the 'Big E' onnthe red tab. After consultation with Levi’s vintage staff at Cinch in London a few years back, we are able to date it as old as 57 years, or at least 53 years of age. The two contributing factors are these: the type 3 appeared in 1967, and the 'Big E' tab vanished in 1971, to be replaced by the lower case 'e'.
It has worn beautifully well with a wonderful fade. A fabulous jacket
