If I remember, with a controller the controls are inverted, and takes a little bit to get used to. And as I'm typing this, you mention that the controls are inverted for keyboard and mouse.

Anyone else super frustrated with how much he skips in each biome? Like riding the manta rays, looking for the other robots and specially activating the coral circles to spawn new species. I mean it's just his way to play the game, specially for a first time since this game really encourages you to come back and explore even more... but man every time he simply passed by a coral circle I was nearly screaming at the screen XD.

Watching this 5 years later and honestly this game is so beautiful and I need to play it some time soon :)
This game is gorgeous it'll be fun to see you go through it ^w^ And don't be worried about Subnautica being like Ark it's not very hard to find the things you need + it has a story which if you follow it it will take you through all that you need but you can make it easier by choosing to explore around outside of that and finding things that'll make it easier for you. Also building is way better, put something in the wrong spot or just wanna move your base over? One button click and all your materials are back ready for use :) But that's beside the point ABZU is great as well~

Beaver if you think this game is pretty, Subnautica is WAY better. Abzu is pretty, but it was not nearly as good as Journey was and sadly didn't impact me in any stretch =\ Not a bad game, but not great either.
Subnautica however is FUN and the ending made me actually tear up. It's a beautiful game visually and it's story is wonderfully interesting. It does have grinding, but it is definitely NOT AS BAD as ARK. It's a lot easier ot be careful so long as you pay attention. If you hear roars, stop and turn around. It took me 20 hours to beat it. You may need to do some grinding off-camera sure, but I'm here to say, it is no Ark. You can even shave off the grind time by collecting a lot of resources the moment you find the biome that has some you've never seen yet. Subnautica is FAR easier than ARK, and I would love to see you play it.

The great white is actually a female. Males have clasper fins while the one in the game does not. Intentionally or not, the shark in the game is female.
