Ledlenser H7R Work самый лучший по равномерности света,хорошей цветопередаче и у него широкое световое пятно в минимальном зуме.Плюс хорошее управление и стекло на линзе.👍😁

I think changing the battery is more about ease of use, so you can wear a headtorch and have a spare battery charging, so you've kind of got constant power, obviously with the use of a powerbank. I feel vulnerable having a flat rechargeable battery with no spare, like to be ready for a bug-out. I've got a Fenix Shadowmaster but in the post Ive got the Fenix HM50r. Ive decided to go lighter and less power - when I did my mountain leaders course in the early 90s we had those old tungsten bulbs that were as bright as the school idiot, but we managed. I think it's tempting to keep wanting more power but then the weight just keeps going up. Also with the HM50r the battery fits my new Flextail Zero, and I've bought the USB C charge spare battery from Fenix to go with it and you can get the batteries off the shelf if desperate. Interesting you mentioned the charge lead, changed my phone recently and now everything I carry has a USB C port, certainly keeps things simple. Thanks for the great review, was intrigued by these, seem pretty good value to me and has some impressive run times

Aye cheers, I agree with all you say, but thought I would try something different, because I always carried a spare battery for the hmr50rt and never used it. I just carry a spare headtorch instead.

Ive got the HF4R Work because i wanted a lightweight headlamp with a dedicated helmet mount, for my Fall/Winter cicling helmet. The Summer helmet got many holes and i attached a FenixHM65RT.
I dont like the hf4r much, the color is weird, the magnetic system is odd, an usb-c would be alot better. And the worst thing about that cable? It must be inserted into a usb-c hole (mother). And the switch is hard to find and press with gloves. My 1st good quality flashlight was a LedLenser so i dont hate, its great nostalgia for me. But im dissapointed.
Imo, best headlamps are Fenix. I love HM65R-DT in winter, with that warm white and i love the HP16R for the insane throw, great flood and possibility to equip 4xAA!
    Thanks for the review!

Hi Dave, great video. Just thought I would mention that Ledlenser produce the HF8R Core which retails at half the price of the signature (£72) but with almost the same level spec. Great alternative for everyone 👍

Hi Dave, a really comprehensive review here thank you..Loved the beam shots, particularly in reactive mode ( as they can be difficult to do well) and explanation of the functions and key features.. As you are aware I also have this light and like yourself its my go to for winter camping trips.. I too find the HF8R Signature very easy to use and the big big win here over the Fenix is that the power drop off is minimal whereas in the Fenix the 1300 Lumen only lasts for a very short time and then drops to about 500 which is cheating what is advertised... I also love the spot function and the light control options on the Ledlenser... best wishes Tom

      Cheers Tom,
I did actually set up a ime lapse shot of the fenix vs the ledlenser for inclusion in he video, to see the difference in dimming over several hours, but had technical problems with the gopro- next time. thanks for your comprehensive comment. Just a shame the video has bombed- for now

Looks like a great winter head torch or night hiking but its a bit on the heavy side for just using around camp

Was great until the proprietary connection. No excuse for any company not to use USB C, which is now a tried and proven industry standard. If Gopro can do it, so can this company.

They have sound reasons , but I absolutely get your point. I'm getting used to it and beginning to trust this headlamp.

Yes enjoyed the review and the Ooft! was for the product.I’ve just hit the button and purchased one at 33% off on Amazon at £129.95,also got the hard case for it at £22.00.I was desperately needing a good new one as my current one that I use for camping and walking the dog would intermittently go off and I’d have to faff about in the dark trying and hoping it would come on again.started going out with my spare torch just as a backup.👍
