Your advice is great and taking us out shopping in the video (i personally dread shopping), will make it easier for all of us to find the details. i did that i made my own dining table built a famhouse style table with white legs, instead of a dark wood top have a distressed look with a lighter color

Thanks for doing this video! I decorated my home's first floor in a coastal theme last summer (using many of the tips you show here) and I love it! I have some subtle country and industrial elements mixed in with the coastal and it works. I've stuck with all natural elements in neutral colors with pops of blue, and I've stuck with silver elements rather than gold (although I love gold too), but I think sticking with the silver, and a color palette, helps to tie the different looks together.
I painted blue my mother's house last year and it matches in this style! I loved all you shared in this video! I have also collection shells from my travels. Thank you so much Sharrah! ❤
Nice coastal styles. The Cali coastal styles look so comfortable. Some of them look like a slash between luxurious hotel/beach living, very very classy, while the Florida coastal styles look more brighter and beachier, if that's a word, but still has the comfort of being HOME.

Love the tips!! My bathroom is beach 🏖 theme with surfboards and woodie wagons...etc. Kinda of 50’s vintage SoCal style I guess. But I love driftwood signs that say stuff like.. “Life is Better in Flip Flops.” Or... “Seas the Day.”
dont forget new england coastal....also southern coastal...island coastal....etc...lol. Lot of coastal out there! New England uses a lot of beadboard/wainscoting, quilts, whites & more stormy blues. Personally Love the southern coastal (florida style u did) as it seems to pull all those pretty aquas in. Nice video!
I just got done watching Marie Kondo on organization., not that you need it, but her outlook on organization is very calming and new ways to look at how to fold clothes and store them. I love NCIS, New Girl, Blue Bloods, Girl Boss, and I've just started the series Taken.

If you haven’t watched it yet, The Mindy Project is so campy and silly! I loved hearing about your distinction between FL and CA coastal. Im from FL and definitely see those choices everywhere! Personally, I prefer the modern, washed tones of CA coastal and I typically see those finishes in higher-end locations even in FL

Just bought a darling condo at the beach and got my living room furniture. Lots of antique white and adding pops of pale aqua. I want classic not kitschy. Since the condo is small, I went with a few large furniture pieces rather than a lot of small items that look cluttered. There are actually three major categories of coastal - you left out the east coast preppy style which is more bright white and navy with nautical accents. Think sailing not fishing.

I feel like our house is a mix of coastal and farmhouse. I guess that’s what happens when you grow up by Santa Cruz then move north. When Calls the Heart is a cute hallmark series on Netflix 5 seasons so it would keep you busy for a while!

Love your videos! I wanted to be an interior designer like you for the longest time, but that didn't happen haha. I'm probably the only one who's going to request this, but I'm wandering if for this series you could do like a whimsical look like fandom related stuff. I'm a young adult and I love my fandoms like fantasy and stuff like Harry Potter and I'd love to give my room a more adult feel, but still show my fandom side. So make it whimsical, but more adult I just don't know how to do both sides. Also favorite tv shows at the moment are friends, The Big Bang Theory, and the Good Place!
Angel and Farscape both tie for my favorite show!! They might be outside your own preference not too sure haha but I LOVE them. I also really enjoy The Magicians and Outlander!
I wish you lived over here in Australia. I really need help with styling my coastal apartment I just purchased. My ability to put it together is just south of my back. The previous owners had colours of deep blues greys and greens . While it went together I instantly hated it. It was like being at the beach during a storm.

I love both styles too! I usually use farmhouse textures(such as distressed wood) and is costal colors(lots of blues! I use a lot of navy)
