They have professional well known designers as judges! I think only one is fixed and each episode they get a guest judge who is usually a designer. They guested Tommy Hilfiger, Donatella Versace, Olivier Rousteing... So definitely people who know what's going on
She was easily the most technically proficient on the season.
Nigel was really technical as well with his fabrics.
But she just had the structures and a good taught process. You can really see she has a lot of experience doing it and honestly she really didn’t make a lot of misstakes at all. I loved her but at the end I did like Nigel’s looks more

@@JustMe-vs1kj i do like nigel too, to me he is the first, bao is the second and deontrè is the third. Deo is good and I can see why the judges like him, puffer is very "in" right now but I do think it was overused. His last statement piece has a similar look with Gigi's red puffer jacket met gala outfit but I do love the yellow outfit.

The red dress is bulging on the back of the model. They don't show the back. Probably because the model looks like she is carrying a drawstring backpack

Actually the 1st dress is well created and made. It is very difficult to keep the good silhouette with rushing and draping. 1st of all the material is well chosen; 2ndly draping is not too much which sometimes ruins everything; 3rdly hiding another dress without any hints is just a top notch.
Bao is my favorite, her designs are so amazing and beautiful. You can literally hear the crowd go "wow"

Try making a dress that is draped like that with the rouching, fit's the body, and is stunning in it's simplicity, and then come back and tell us how it's not "all that"
The first dress is a Greacen styled dress, so it has historical significance. It is constructed with rushing, which is hard enough to do with plain cotton. This dress is tissue silk which is incredibly difficult to work with. So, to make it turn into another dress is a mastery of patterning, that's all math, and understanding the way the dress will drape when rushed requires an understanding of weight and gravity. Clothing construction is an actual science requiring complex math and a scientific knowledge of fabric weights and gravity. But please, tell us where we can buy the designs you've constructed.

In regards to the construction, they are. Try making that dress in a day, then you'll understand the comment.
they are though, do you know how much expirementation and trial and error goes into tailoring an effective and marketable product while also satisfying the designers creative vision while simultaneously adhering to budgeting and to get that perfect fabric, drapery, etc. Theres a lot more that goes into fashion than you may think, just because u see gucci slap its double G on a basic Gildan blank doesnt mean designers arent intricate and thoughtful

Bao's dresses were not preseting a new idea or new look. Yes they looked really beautiful but all the designs were pretty common that we see on a daily at fashion stores.

The critiques on PR were horrid. It's why I stopped watching. Michael Kors reading a contestant for using gingham when he had a whole line of men's shirts and women's skirts in gingham was the paramount of PR hypocrisy.
That first dress looked like the “dress” from the little mermaid with the sheet and the rope lol don’t know why they’re hyping it up so much, the red one was cute tho.
This dress is great but I feel like this season was really lacking. It was no where near as good as the 1st season. I feel like the cancelled it to bring it back and make it worst 😫

This was awesome… best transition by far! This episode was wild though, I could not fathom the guy on the judging panel saying Amari’s green monstrosity was his favourite look, and he was gagging over it… it was horrific, like so appallingly bad it wasn’t even funny and that was his FAV?! He was way off all season with his judging… I mean, remember when they all gagged over Deontre’s giant hand thing too 😂😂 WILD!! If that’s fashion, I don’t want to be fashionable!!!

Omg THANK YOU 😭 I was getting sooo sick of Gigi and Tan crying every damn episode when they had to eliminate someone. Like I get the contestants crying, but the judges crying kinda seemed unprofessional??? idk it was really weird. Like just do your job it’s not that deep 😂

not everyone is emotionless like you guys, they literally build connections and spent multiple weeks together. Some people care about/have empathy for other people…

Bao was great and the best. This season though the standard was well below the first season. The other dresses (especially the white stuffed one) in this episode were an embarrassment. Oh my what would Heidi Klum have said- the truth!

Yeah the first dress looked tacky due to.uts material and the sewing and stuff was just ugly to look at. The transformation was good not something new or original. The red dress was basic too.
