- “Car S.O.S.” is a British automotive TV series, which airs on National Geographic Channel and Channel 4. The show is presented by the engineer and radio personality Tim Shaw and musician Fuzz Townshend, who work closely with a specialist car restoration team as they work on classic cars from across the UK and Europe. “Car S.O.S.” has a charitable factor as well, as the cars seen on the show come from owners who couldn’t finish the restoration process themselves, usually due to financial or medical reasons. At the end of each episode, they are surprised by the finished product in a staged event organized by Tim Shaw. The series has been airing since 2013, spanning across nine seasons, with 10th season on its way.

I was blown away by such dedication to the arts and vehicles. Like it or not Tim is a softy at heart even with his antics in the past. Fuzz is a down to earth guy. My hat is of to both of them and the team
I love these two guys. They bounce off each other. It's my favourite car show.
I watched it right to the end. I'm glad another series is on the way.
Fuzz is a musician, true (Pop Will Eat Itself), but primarily he is an experienced and qualified motor vehicle engineer, gaining his foundation working on commercial vehicles (buses) and he has his own classic car restoration business.
In my opinion it's quite possibly the best motoring program on TV, I would however like to see it in a longer version where the engines and other components are reconditioned in detail rather than just sending them away then having them back fully restored and ready to fit.
I love Tim and Fuzz. I discovered Car SOS on Disney Plus and now it’s one of my favorite shows
Fuzz is not just a musician . He is an experienced automotive writer and engineer
It's a brilliant show. My only complaint is that it's not long enough. The amount of work they do on those cars would make 2 hours of viewing.

This IS the best TV show and that is it. This duo and their team of motor mechanics and sponsors who give so much to the causes should all be honoured by HM The Queen for services to personal wellbeing. Not only do they help people who have suffered serious tragedy, but there is a real feel-good-factor after each show. You just want to watch every one again and again. I have no particular favourite as they are all excellent, but the ones I really feel deep sympathies for are the ones where tragically the person they are restoring the car for passes away before they get it finished. They just bash on and get it back to the family as a fitting memorial to the family member they lost so dear.

It looked like a complete waste of time from the off - confirmed to me by the idiot calling Fuzz 'Fuzz Township' in the first 20 seconds. Didn't watch any more after that.

It was scheduled to last 90 minutes - it actually went on for 7 hours.
One suggestion for this TV show would be to obtain and restore the cars used by amateur racing/rally drivers back in the 1960's and 70's. Always a wrench to sell on your competition car to some sad wanabe, but needs must, as you have to more on when you need something more suitable. So many of these car show hosts give a passing nod to motor sport, but clearly lacked the confidence not to say moral courage to "put their money where their mouth was".

When I saw “What happened to Tim Shaw on Car S.O.S?” I thought ‘hopefully he’s been binned by the maker/producer of the programme’. Unfortunately not
