Yeah it’s any rift/portal so if there’s a doorway/portal nearby you can go through that and back through it to get the same result, example is the plant shopkeeper in Ancient Grove.

Been playing TITAN QUEST for a bit now. WAY more and better than I ever played it when it came out. Your GRIM DAWN videos are one of the reasons for that. Play one, get better at the other.

I finished base Grim Dawn without knowing most of these tips! Including fast travel, second tab for item comparison, how cunning relates to dps... Or even that there was a search function!
Yeah, the game doesn’t exactly do much to let you know about many of the helpful features 👊😜

Thanks for the comment. You can’t really go wrong with Primal Strike, just get as many buffs to it and its main damage type(s) as you can from gear, devotions and your other skills.

I just downloaded this a couple of days ago. I have my fair share of rpg experience and this one was on my radar from a while back. Started playing and I'm enjoying it a lot, but I did have a couple of questions, I knew the text was kinda important in the game, but this video helped point out some details I was wondering about. I am playing Inquisitior, and probably will troll my build just going out for a fire poison hybrid, but I'm not that concerned, I will be playing this one for quite a while 😂

So I see alot of "pro" player videos talk about the map things, which is fine do it how ever you like to do, but I was just like to point out that both ways are the same amount of clicks or key presses. So i dont think one is fast than the other.

Alternatively I see a lot of let’s play videos where the player only knows the method of manually putting down a rift and clicking it (often not on first attempt if they’re in a rush or a fight), then finding the destination on the map, then clicking that, and every time I think “there’s a better way of doing this but they don’t know it”.
Great video. Just one question.. if Im building a ranged vindicator with physical to elemental conversion is it better to put points into cunning or spirit? The cunning would boost physical damage but the spirit would help elemental…
Buffs are applied AFTER any conversions. If you are converting physical damage to elemental damage, you need to be buffing elemental (fire, cold, lightning, or generic ‘elemental’) damage.

Following on from my previous reply, here’s an important tip: To check the damage type(s) you are actually dealing, look on tab 2 of the character info (the inventory/character screen) and hover over the skills on mouse buttons 1 and 2, or the ‘weapon damage’ if that is all you are currently using. The damage figures shown here are AFTER any conversions have been applied and are likely to be different from the figures shown on the mastery screen and the icons on the skill bar. The tab 2 values are the CORRECT values.
Hi! I have a hard time on elite with Ritualist skeleton lvl 77 build. My conclusion: skellyes suck! Which mastery combo makes the best pet build to crush and smash the hardest difficulty in your opinion, and still be viable until best gear? Ty!

And by farming items you mean killing elites/bosses. If the item doesn't drop go to menu and back in -fight again till it drops or you have enough of the item you want and then kill their orb?
The accepted definition of ‘farming’ in a gaming context is ‘clearing the same content repeatedly in order to gain (specific) items or resources’. Sometimes the farming in GD is for non-specific drops (example, anything of legendary rarity) but there are also many specific items that can be ‘target farmed’, meaning killing the same boss or enemy type to get an item unique to those enemies.

Have to say, I committed the cardinal sin on my latest playthrough (old habits die hard) but I've always played the game that way. This was a great video, Grim Dawn is still the best ARPG out there these days, though still love Path Of Exile and Titan Quest. Unlike many, I enjoyed but am distinctly unimpressed with Diablo 4, definitely sticking with the classics for now.

I can use a custom opened rift to travel to a map rift, but I can't do it in reverse. If I open a rift, travel to Devils Crossing, then try and go back to the opened rift it says I can't do it?
I know what you’re trying to do. You rift travel to a world rift, example Devil’s Crossing, then you open the map and try to rift back to the rift you put down when you travelled to the world rift, but you’re actually trying to use a personal rift to travel to a personal rift. As you can only have one personal rift, this cannot be done. You can only travel TO your personal rift from a world rift.

While this is something that would probably be fun to do, I honestly don’t have the time for it. There’s always the official Crate Entertainment forum for Grim Dawn - a lot of GD players on there who would be able to give (much better) answers to any of your questions 👊🙂

My recommendation is to hold off on your second class till lvl 50. You can sleepwalk through elite, so any skill can carry you, and having lots of points to play with all the skills to see what playstyle fits.
