I love how whenever Tekking is talking about the Rocks Crew, he places emphasis on Wang Zhi, a character we have yet to even see within the story.

Joseph Tate personally I think we have already seen him. Back in thriller bark we seen the zombie generals, and one of them that we know the names of was captain John. And next to him in the zombie generals there was one in silver armor and had a “silver axe” and one in gold armor that had really long Mongolian style beard, and I think he’s wang zhi. It is a stretch, but it wouldn’t make sense why Moria would only take captain johns body and not everyone else’s when they all died in the same place.

Here’s my guess: Blackbeard somehow beats Luffy to the One Piece, but can’t access it. Luffy inevitably defeats Blackbeard and uses the straw hat as some kind of key to “unlock” the One Piece.

Dyler No. Oda clearly stated that one piece isn't something related to emotion. Like the journey was the treasure, or friends are the treasure, or something like that. Even he knows that would be stupid for the readers or viewers.
That could be true. After all, Rodger (the one who hid the One Piece) gave Shanks the straw that, then Shanks gave it to Luffy. Do you find it strange that NOBODY from Rodger's ship knows where the One Piece is? Surely, Shanks or Buggy should know. Shanks, he doesn't care about the money. Buggy, on the other hand, would die for the One Piece, to be honest. Buggy ain't deserving but, maybe, the Straw Hat resembles the "D" or something. Rodger, Shanks and Luffy wore the straw hat, and they all have "D" in their name.
I could go for Rocks being alive bit having come to accept his defeat in some manner.
Separately: Ehat if gaining level 6 prisoners was a consolation prize to Blackbeard's plan? What if he thought he'd find Rocks down there?

While I personally wouldn’t mind an ending at Raftel, I personally would like to see Luffy’s final battle being against the world government with him on the the throne of the world that IM had sat upon. I think Shanks meeting with the Goresai was to discuss the possibility of Rocks living through Blackboard, literally . This would make sense of the strange mention about Blackbeard’s body throughout the series as well as Luffys and Zoros first meeting with him in which they described him as “They”. His crew could be used as a answer for this but if you go back and Read Nami specifically asked about BB. While a Black Beard Saga is definitely looming, the opposition of the world government still stands along with legendary weapons. I personally believe the defeat of BB will come first and that will lead the straw hats to raftel where they learn about the void century. I think the acts will be so egregious that Luffy can’t ignore the current state of the world under the government as he does not really feel like the free king of the pirates. I think his conquer of the seas will lead people to view him as their respective pirate king and that the numerous connections he’s made throughout the series will lead him and his now army against the powerful world government. This will also tie in with the revolutionary army and his father. I think one piece ends with luffy sitting on that throne
No, it will end with him being offered the crown, only to tilt his head all confused and say "Screw that." Then sail off into the sunset

Luffy is not the kind of guy that kill his enemies... so Roger could be the same... and Garp did not kill Roger or Chinjao... so he doesn't seem to be a guy who kill his enemies
Although... Squardo did mention that Roger murdered all his crew, but it is weird... Because Moriah also said that Kaido killed all his crew... but we know from the story that Kaido does not kill people and prefers to add them to their forces
If he is, have him be massively crippled after the fight. He's alive but in abject shame. One could say that would elevate Garp and Roger more. They didn't kill the massive world threatening power, but they diminished it to an absolutely pitiable state.
I think the reveal that Garp and Roger teamed up to fight Rocks is more symbolic. So the final Battle will probably be a battle of inheritors. Luffy and Coby team up to beat Blackbeard

That very chapter confirms the General Zombies weren't the rocks pirates. No one bothers to read the chapter. It was stated that only one of the General Zombies was a pirate: Captain John. The others were knights, a samurai (Ryuma), a gunslinger and some bandits.

From my experience in anime and stories in general the more characters say that a character is dead without showing they are dead, the more likely it is that that person is alive in some form or fashion.

Inb4 Buggy is part of Sword, and he was recruited into the Warlords system for the sole reason that by process of elimination he would be able to transition to whatever the post warlord system paradigm would be (At that point they wouldn't have known about Blackbeard and his plan, but they could suspect the removal of the warlord system), in this case, being recruited into the Blackbeard pirates.
I can't wait to see him doing the reviews with a baby Tekking when One Piece is on the final arc

Oda was an apprentice of the mangaka that made ruroni kenshin. Xebec is the studio that made Shaman King, which was written by the one other apprentice.

Elbaf could be a Saga of its own. Remember it's been foreshadowed in Little Garden, then we had a second little piece in Enies Lobby, after that a little of a backstory with Big Mom... There's a lot of things that tie into Elbaf, and in Oda's hands it can easily be an extremely epic saga

I only said yes in the poll because what you described at the end of the video would be cool, finds his hero, but discovers he's surpassed said hero, then just lobs his head off. I feel like its worth mentioning the whole will of D stuff, specifically when White Beard that Roger's will was not waiting for Black Beard. Maybe as a way to build up the parallels, we have Roger's will in bodied by Luffy, and Rock's will in bodied by Black Beard.
Secretly Stronger is now a human fruit smile user spy in Wano that curses Chopper for the stupid human that grew on him and turned him into a 2 sided Centaur freak. He always wanted Chopper or Sengoku's fruit.
I think Oda has done an impressive job at drawing paralles between the past and present of the One Piece story without making it feel forced or unnatural. Like the similarities between luffy and roger are undeniable but they aren't blood related(so far that we know).
And this goes pretty well with two of the main themes of the entire story, that are the theme of 'death' and the 'succession of will'.
So, i don't need a direct biological relation between BB and Rocks for this story to work. Rather i feel a metaphorical connection between the two would be more natural.
And before anyone says that the "wheels of fate" is a cliche trope....i don't care. If it is done well it makes for some very satisfying story-telling.
