  • There was so much to this I had to break it up in two parts.
Street Fighter League (SFL) Season 3 was the setting for one of the most intense rivalries between two teams we've ever seen. Smack talk, popoffs, disrespectful tea bags. This was peak FGC drama.
Join me as I recap All In (Idom, SKZ, 801Strider) vs Alpha 3's (Punk, Nephew, CJ Truth) heated storyline from SFL Season 3.
    NOTE: This is PART 1

OCV = "One Character Victory." I meant to include the definition in the video. My bad.

I'm not sure how to feel about this video, the whole time I was expecting we'd hear about some drama, some of that heat, but it was mostly a resume of their matches...I understand it's part 1, but it still feels click baity in the end especially withe such a title "A heated Street Fighter League rivalry almost ends in a street fight, a re-kappa (PART 1)". The video is well produced, well edited, good narration, but the action we'd expect just isn't there. It's like watching part 1 of an action movie, where we stop right before the fight scene or any interesting part of the plot development.

I appreciate the feedback! Very valid criticism; I'll take it to heart for future videos. I agree that this part is more about the setup. I didn't want these videos to really go more than 15 mins so I took the hard decision to cut it. I also don't want to avoid showing highlights from the matches so it's not something I'm willing to edit out. I definitely need to improve on all fronts. I hope you stick around though!

Felt the same way watching, and tbh if it was an hour long video I would be even more enticed to watch it. Still, great video on a great topic and I’ll be waiting to watch part 2

It's been almost 2 years since that confrontation went down but the aftermath wasn't even that bad, like Punk eventually said on twitter that he held nothing against Strider for the confrontation and being on tilt and that it was really just video game talk, to paraphrase.
The bigger problem is really that, whatever punk does and wherever he goes, a cloud of controversies will follow him. I don't really know what the percentage split is between the ones that he instigates and the ones that aren't his fault but one thing is for sure: he really is a modern day Filipino Champ with the way he conducts himself and he often shifts from being unlikeable to likable and back. I get that someone has to play a heel and that people will call me "soft" for not liking the way he insults people, but he always gets his ass handed to him in bigger tournaments after all that trash talk really, so what is the point of him doing all that in the end.
