I came across your channel so I decided to watch and I'm glad I did 👍 great job on the build. By the way I subscribed to your channel. Thanks for sharing 💯👍🤘✌️😎
Zeker doen!
After watching Aquarjium Adventures channel.. Am afraid to use liquid Rubber and fiberglass and silicone.. Somehow his bonds between different chemicals did not hold. His 8 ft tank kept on leaking... You somehow must have had no problems with only rubber and silicone. Does silicone bond well to Liquid Rubber? I think the other guy had issues with Rubber sticking to other materials, like cured silicone.
@@bubblerings I must say I’ve never heard of that channel yet, but I’ll look into it in a sec. What I can tell you about my experience with this technique is this. The order in which you apply everything is important. I’ve noticed that liquid rubber won’t stick to cure silicone, but silicone will stick to cured rubber. I’ve had issues with a leak in my crested gecko’s vivarium, which was made in the same way. The leak came from a bulkhead which was siliconed into place. The way I went about fixing it was soaking some of that fabric in liquid rubber and sticking those over the silicone, making sure there was some overlap on all sides. Probably not the best way to fix something like this, but probably the fastest. I wouldn’t do this if the setup had to hold water permanently like the tank shown above. I think liquid rubber is a decent choise when building a diy aquarium, but I’ve done some more research since this video and I can see some flaws and ways to improve upon this design. I do have an updated video planned out for somewhere this year where I discuss all of this as wel as share a better design.
@@CrunchyFern very Cool! I thank you for verifying that silicone can go on dried Rubber.. and not rubber on silicone. 🎈🐚🐙 Will watch more of your build vids! Cheers!🐠🐟🍻 Search "Mega tank leak". That is the 8 ft leaky tank. He showed us what Not to do.. 👍
@@bubblerings I've actuallly seen his video's before haha. Anyway if you build a tank that big waterpressure will start to play a big role. I don't know how to calculate that sort of stuff, but I know it's something to consider when building giant aquariums.

WOOOHOOO!!! Welcome to the club! Anything you would like to see?

Wow
:)
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you 🙏🏻
Would you make a DIY aquarium? Or would you rather buy one?
