KoF is a mashup of different SNK games characters. Think of it as Smash Bros (mashup of Nintendo characters) but Street Fighter style. Not all the fighters are from their respected series or games. Kyo Kusanagi was created specifically as a KoF character (1994). Meanwhile Terry Bogard is the mascot of SNK (much like Ryu is the mascot of Capcom) from Fatal Fury (1991). Most of the KoF games has you fighting in a team of 3 (later on 4 but then 3 again). Funny that you mentioned how K' reminded of you of Dante, because he's sort of meant to be a bit like Dante. K' was designed to be like this anti Kyo Kusanagi, and has Kyo's DNA in him. He can only control fire from his right hand and has to wear a specialized red glove to control it. Also his fighting style is Pure Violence. Shiranui Mai (fighter with huge boobers) is dressed that way to distract her opponents (much like she distracted both you and Bethany). There's a lot of games from this series and each have their own saga (Pre Orochi, Orochi saga, NESTS Chronicles, Tales of Ash, and now Shun'ei saga) from 94' to 2022 (XV) with Kof 13 (2010) being the best. 14 wanted to do what all fighting games were doing at the time, (Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom, Mortal Kombat) going from 2d sprites to 3d models. This game got mixed reviews as they made the characters older and gave them new looks, while some were left the same. Also this is a Playstation and PC exclusive which sucks. Anyways KoF XV is set to release on February with many fighters returning such as Shun'ei (wears the headphones and has the red and blue hands) and Maitenkun (sleepy boi).

A lot of the Characters in this game have there own series. The KOF games are bloody awesome. The Guy you called Striker, is actually a Military man who has a Fondness for wrestling. That's why he did the Finger Point and grapples. Him, Ralf ( the one you called Rambo ) and Leona are the Ikari warriors from an Golden Oldei series called Metal Slug.

As a 38 yo brazilian who plays KOF (starting from 94 version) and SNK games since my childhood is really weird to see people reacting to the franchise in 2021... but maybe some fresh blood is a good thing to SNK if they buy your stuff from now.
Honestly while I haven't really cared about KoF before this I am rather hyped for KoF15. And it even comes out during my bday month! So it's something for me to look forward to.

Masahiro Sakurai (Smash's director)'s English translator said "Super Smash Bros Ultimate is for good boys and girls of many different ages," but the real reason was to prevent the game's age rating from going up, as it was difficult to censor her without doing so or making drastic changes. 9:55 Ninja Hand Seals it varies they're usage from medium to medium, but they are essentially done to perform superhuman feats and in some cases enhance one's concentration and focus. In Naruto hand seals are used to evoke different elemental attacks as certain hand seals are associated to different elements. Hand seals, in mythology, grants the ninja various powers including the ability to turn invisible, summon familiars, predicting danger, and various other powers. Again though this is mythology so not sure what they are used for by actual shinobi. Edit: Yes KOF has a very big story mode and it goes into multiple Saga's so if you want to learn more about I'd watch some lore videos because there are also character personal stories to this as well.

Kind of late, but what sets KOF apart from other games aside from the team system is that it has an actual narrative behind the series depending on where you start. They did this way before any other fighting games got serious with their lore. There's even a whole list of KoF games to know which ones are canon, which ones aren't, and which ones are spin-offs. I'll just leave a list here if you're unsure of which arc to go with. (This is all from the SNK Wiki) Prologue KoF '94 The Orochi Saga KoF 95' - KoF 97' The NEST Chronicles KoF 99' - KoF 2001 Tales of Ash KoF 2003 KoF XI (11) KoF XIII (13) The Shu'ei Saga (Where we are now) KoF 14 KoF 15 The ones I didn't list are the KoF Dream Matches. Dream Matches is basically non-canon versions of the games that bring back all characters (killed or otherwise) back into the roster for one big game. The Orochi Saga KoF 98' The NEST Chronicles KoF 2002 Tales of Ash KoF XII (12) If any interest you (or anyone reading this comment), you can probably find them on the Playstation Store or maybe Steam (I don't know about Xbox) and they don't cost all much... but you have to buy them separately... and fair warning, the final bosses of these games are painfully hard...They are the reason for the term, "SNK Boss Syndrome". (P.S. If you don't wanna go through the whole hassle of playing each game. Maximilian Dood did an entire series where plays as Terry for every KoF and Fatal Fury game. It's a real good start.)
Generally most of the story in the series resides in Arcade Mode. However, 15 will be the first one that'll have a legit story. Also, just a lil' fun fact, half of the cast are from existing SNK games that became staple mainstays in the KoF series. For example: Terry Bogard, Andy Bogard (Terry's brother), Joe Higashi, Blue Mary (Terry's wife), Mai (Andy's wife), Yamazaki, and Billy, along with the main antagonist Geese Howard who killed Terry and Andy's father, are from Fatal Fury. And Geese's son Rock Howard, who is under care by his father's assailant, Terry, in a game Garo: Mark of the Wolves. King, Ryo, Yuri, and Robert are from the series Art of Fighting. Athena and Kenrou are from Psycho Solders. Ralf and Clark are from Ikari Warriors. And funny you should say that Ken because you're not wrong. That game was "supposed" to be a game adaptation of Rambo First Blood Part 2, but SNK was unable to acquire the license. And the last 4 characters are crossover characters: Nekoruru from Samurai Shodown and the others are from pachinko games. Mui Mui from Dragon Gal, and Love Heart from a Sky Love, and Alice from Garou Densetsu The Legend of Wild Wolf.
We still don't know if KoFXV will have a legit story mode, KoFXIV also had "Story Mode" but it was treated more like Arcade Mode with team endings and a few cutscenes. The same could apply in KoFXV.

Also she is super confident and funny, especially wen it comes to her and Andy ( her self proclaimed fiancé ) poor dood can't catch a break because of her 🤣
Japanese games as well as other medias like animes are notorious for being outlandishly pervy. If you want to see more of something like this, check out the Dead or Alive games or the Senran Kagura games. Those 2 franchises are just ridiculous.
Though this game was (graphically) disappointing, it was still hell of fun and the newer faces in this one are pretty cool. I can’t wait for KOF 15 though, that one looks good, all around. You guys should react to the character trailers for KOF 15. First game of this franchise was KOF 94. I have been playing this game since I was 8 Like 2007 ish. It has a story mode. and each team has there own ending to the game. there have been 4 main protagonist for this game so far. And King Of Fighters 15 is the first one I think where all of the 4 protagonist and there antagonist are present in this game as playable characters. this is the 4th saga or arc of the series.

You definitely need to check old Fatal fury supers. Starting from Fatal fury 3 they all have good graphic. Also almost every new Fatal fury part SNK decided to change supers so almost every new game have new supers or remaded old one
This is yet another request to check out Devil May Cry 5 special edition trailer(s). They’re super hype and I think you’d get an even bigger kick out of those than the original DMCV trailer.
I’d love to see you two try Danganronpa someday. It’s from Japan so it’s got Japanese style art and it’s a visual novel, meaning it tells a story using a lot of text-boxes aided with character stills and voice-lines. It’s a little difficult to explain, basically it’s a lot of reading (though it still does have actual gameplay) but it has a fantastic and engrossing story. It has lots of twists and deaths because it is a kind of murder mystery, so it is a game that is very fun to watch people react to. That also means spoilers are plentiful so if you ever plan to play it, be extremely wary online. Anyway, don’t know if it’s your kind of game, but I’d say it’s worth a try and I’d enjoy seeing your reactions to the game.

Actually, Clark and Ralf are from Ikari Warriors. Leona is original from KOF. The trio makes a cameo in Metal Slug 6 and 7/XX, as playable characters

9:55 Ninja Hand Seals it varies they're usage from medium to medium, but they are essentially done to perform superhuman feats and in some cases enhance one's concentration and focus. In Naruto hand seals are used to evoke different elemental attacks as certain hand seals are associated to different elements. Hand seals, in mythology, grants the ninja various powers including the ability to turn invisible, summon familiars, predicting danger, and various other powers. Again though this is mythology so not sure what they are used for by actual shinobi.
Edit: Yes KOF has a very big story mode and it goes into multiple Saga's so if you want to learn more about I'd watch some lore videos because there are also character personal stories to this as well.

Kind of late, but what sets KOF apart from other games aside from the team system is that it has an actual narrative behind the series depending on where you start. They did this way before any other fighting games got serious with their lore.
There's even a whole list of KoF games to know which ones are canon, which ones aren't, and which ones are spin-offs.

If any interest you (or anyone reading this comment), you can probably find them on the Playstation Store or maybe Steam (I don't know about Xbox) and they don't cost all much... but you have to buy them separately... and fair warning, the final bosses of these games are painfully hard...They are the reason for the term, "SNK Boss Syndrome".
(P.S. If you don't wanna go through the whole hassle of playing each game. Maximilian Dood did an entire series where plays as Terry for every KoF and Fatal Fury game. It's a real good start.)

Generally most of the story in the series resides in Arcade Mode. However, 15 will be the first one that'll have a legit story. Also, just a lil' fun fact, half of the cast are from existing SNK games that became staple mainstays in the KoF series. For example:
Terry Bogard, Andy Bogard (Terry's brother), Joe Higashi, Blue Mary (Terry's wife), Mai (Andy's wife), Yamazaki, and Billy, along with the main antagonist Geese Howard who killed Terry and Andy's father, are from Fatal Fury. And Geese's son Rock Howard, who is under care by his father's assailant, Terry, in a game Garo: Mark of the Wolves.
King, Ryo, Yuri, and Robert are from the series Art of Fighting.
Athena and Kenrou are from Psycho Solders.
Ralf and Clark are from Ikari Warriors. And funny you should say that Ken because you're not wrong. That game was "supposed" to be a game adaptation of Rambo First Blood Part 2, but SNK was unable to acquire the license.
And the last 4 characters are crossover characters: Nekoruru from Samurai Shodown and the others are from pachinko games. Mui Mui from Dragon Gal, and Love Heart from a Sky Love, and Alice from Garou Densetsu The Legend of Wild Wolf.

We still don't know if KoFXV will have a legit story mode, KoFXIV also had "Story Mode" but it was treated more like Arcade Mode with team endings and a few cutscenes. The same could apply in KoFXV.

They actually used 3D models, but used 2D cell shading over them, so they move SUPER smooth but look gorgeous as well. Why a lot of people were bummed when King of Fighters 14 came out. Looked HORRIBLE in comparison LOL
You should totally watch the Guilty Gear REV 2 insta-kill moves! Very flashy and tons of fun to see them all

Confession time: I have never played a single King of Fighters game. Looks fun, though. Couldn't really name a particular favorite Super Move, they were all cool, but I did naturally enjoy the ones involving magic and/or flames the most. Cheers! Also, allow me to repeat a Fight Night Friday recommendation of compilations of all Beast Forms, Ultimates, and Beast Drives from each game in the Bloody Roar franchise. As a life long King of Fighters fan since I first played King of Fighters 94 back in 1994 when I was just 14 years old, may I ask WHY you never did? Was it because they were seen as "inferior" to other fighting games of the time like Street Fighter?

Though this game was (graphically) disappointing, it was still hell of fun and the newer faces in this one are pretty cool. I can’t wait for KOF 15 though, that one looks good, all around. Yeah, The King of Fighters have been around since ‘94, I’ve been lucky enough to experience all of them through the years. It’s crazy how long SNK has been apart of me, and others, lives.

You guys should react to the character trailers for KOF 15. First game of this franchise was KOF 94. I have been playing this game since I was 8 Like 2007 ish. It has a story mode. and each team has there own ending to the game. there have been 4 main protagonist for this game so far. And King Of Fighters 15 is the first one I think where all of the 4 protagonist and there antagonist are present in this game as playable characters. this is the 4th saga or arc of the series.

You definitely need to check old Fatal fury supers. Starting from Fatal fury 3 they all have good graphic. Also almost every new Fatal fury part SNK decided to change supers so almost every new game have new supers or remaded old one

I’d love to see you two try Danganronpa someday. It’s from Japan so it’s got Japanese style art and it’s a visual novel, meaning it tells a story using a lot of text-boxes aided with character stills and voice-lines. It’s a little difficult to explain, basically it’s a lot of reading (though it still does have actual gameplay) but it has a fantastic and engrossing story. It has lots of twists and deaths because it is a kind of murder mystery, so it is a game that is very fun to watch people react to. That also means spoilers are plentiful so if you ever plan to play it, be extremely wary online. Anyway, don’t know if it’s your kind of game, but I’d say it’s worth a try and I’d enjoy seeing your reactions to the game.

Ever since her appearance in _Samurai Shodown,_ Mai Shiranui's gainaxing (bouncing breasts) has practically become a meme in its own right. It's probably due to the fact that her costume provides practically no support, because she's not even canonically the biggest girl in the series (IIRC, that would be Blue Mary). Which is probably why Mai has been nicknamed the "Twin Independent Suspension Ninja Girl". 🤣
