Why is it that the skit uses a derogatory term "coolie" man, and makes it appear indian men as drunkards??? Quite disgusting . What was the moral of this skit ?
Well we all know that stereotype about coolie man is of often true lol... And even though coolie was once used as a derogatory term it is not used like that amongst Guyanese today. I believe the moral of the skit is that the Dougla guy turned out to be a better suitor than the man her parents married her off to. If only they had seen past race and allowed them to be together for love. But He was smart and respectful enough to move on because he knew their relationship would cause more bad than good.
