The castle looks beautiful from the road between Inistioge and Thomastown, where it's framed by the trees on the side of the road.

It would have been an immersive view back in the days when all the outhouses and walls were still standing . But it is still a beautiful site from that viewing point.

Sad to learn the old castle survived ancient army’s, but has fallen victim recently to thieves and robbers.
