  • We have all heard the term Artificial Intelligence as AI has been a controversial issue these days. And we have certainly heard about AI both positively and negatively. Basically the argument is that Artificial Intelligence can greatly help the world. Although some critics say AI can also take over the world possibly leaving humans obsolete. Artificial Intelligence is taking over a lot of our jobs as AI is being used in several sectors of the workforce. And now AI is making its presence known in the field of medicine. To find out more about the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and healthcare we travel to CHOC Children’s Hospital of Orange County in Southern California. This is reporter David Nazar and here is our interview with a mom who says AI saved her son from tragic illness. And we also talk with the team of CHOC doctors who made the critical diagnosis and are leading the way in AI and pediatric care.

No human doctor can possibly track all known ailments. It’s why an intelligent patient frequently has to second guess the professional doctor’s five- minute snap opinion if they want to survive. If Dr Google and its AI equivalent can join the mix appropriately it will be a big improvement.

Hi, David. Thanks very much for trying to bring this story to the world. The title, about saving your son, is a human story. But you start the video explaining the context for AI, making it a technology story. Also, inverted pyramid works. After 6 minutes I bailed. Sorry. Cheers!
