Super helpful video! Just picked one of these up. Thanks for sharing.
Russ,
Another thorough review. I looked at the Harbor Freight Low Profile- long reach jack as I needed it for my 3 Toyota cars. The 4 ton model you have would work just fine on my Honda Pilot with it's increased height but ultimately I purchased the 2-ton Low Profile-Long reach Sunex model 6602LP and wondered what took me so long to make the purchase. Extremely heavy and well made. One of my better Automotive purchases in recent years.
Thank you for this video. I never read instructions and i had never heard of checking the hydrologic fluid or bleeding it. I just bought my first hydraulic floor jack and will be taking good care of it. This video helped a lot.
Good review! Just bought the 3 ton long reach & very happy with it.
Thank you, you save me time in reading!
Excellent review and set-up instructions. These Daytona's are nice jacks I also like the long-reach model and Super Duty models.
Great video. I have the same jack and love it. It looks like to have some very well maintained vehicles. I had a similar generation Tundra with the same V6 for 17 years and only sold it when we decided to move to Colorado with trailer towing involved…the V6 is a great engine but not enough power for towing in the mountains.
Great video 👍
This 4 ton floor jack is the way to go.
Its the 4 ton lifting capacity for me.
I prefer the 4 ton over those 3 ton jacks
@ hft.
Very informative.
Thanks.
What brand of 22 weight hydraulic jack oil did you use?
what's your opinion on this one vs Daytona DJ3000? I'm still querying to buy one of that 2, can you advise on it if you've experienced the DJ3000 too ? thanks in advance and thanks for your detail reviews on this!
Thanks
Did you ever do the rebuild on that Michelin jack? I have the same exact jack that I also bought about 20 years ago and its just about the same amount of tired as yours is. which is why I was looking at reviews on this 4 ton jack. I'd watch you do that especially if you linked all the parts you used!
Bought that first jack 20 years ago at Sams Club with a set of matching jack stands for like $69.
Nice G-Shock 😉
Can you lift a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee with this?
I noticed your jack seems to have weak handle springs, too. Meaning: When you let go of the handle at an angle. It seems to want to fall down instead of rising back up to be at 90-degrees to the floor. I have 2 Daytonas. One yellow 3 ton. And the other. A Black 4 ton. When you let go of the handle of the yellow at any angle. The handle will come back up to stand at 90 degrees to the floor. On my Black one, which is new. You let the handle go at any angle. It tends to fall flat to the ground. I noticed your does the same as mine.
Mine holds the handle wherever I leave it.
The Daytona 4 ton and icon split beam torque wrench. Are my favorite items from HFT. Cant go wrong with 8000lb lift capacity and less moving parts torque wrench.
My jack won’t lift
Were you able to find the problem or did you return it
All good, but they didn't add a Lock on it?? When you're under the car...it needs a lock!!!
That's what jack stands are for... Also almost no floor jacks have locks
You should not be jacking up your driveway slope on that first car
Come on man zoom out so we can see everything, you're talking about things that are outa frame.
Niceee, im deciding between the 3 ton low profile long reach and the 3 ton super duty, not of the differences, but the regular 100 dollar 3 ton would be good enough for what i need but id like to get somthing a little nicer and more capable for down the road.
