Student Home Life is at the core of the Milton Hershey School experience. Houseparents ensure children have what they need to be healthy and thrive. Each houseparent couple provides a structured, caring, home away from home. They teach life skills, help students build character, and promote their social and academic success. They come from diverse and inspiring backgrounds, and they all share a passion for children and a commitment to the mission of Milton Hershey School. One houseparent, Denise Gore, knows the importance of partnering with the parents/sponsors of her students to help them achieve their goals. Her motherly role is also evident in her personal family with three children as well as in her background fostering and adopting two more.
