    finally a 65% with decent right shift and 1.25u alt and ctrl keys. I must be dreaming. I am astonished at the fact that it took so lonf for keyboard makers to get that the spacebar should not be 6.25u.

    Thanks for battery life with RGB on! One of two channels that included this precious information in review. BIG LIKE!

      Well that is just the quoted amount from ASUS! This was just a first impressions video, not an actual review where I did personal testing haha. I want to be transparent.

      Yeah absolutely fair! I have a feeling it won't be long until they do.

      They've said they have no plans as of now to release a black version. Unfortunately.

    was hoping for a magnetic keyboard. There needs to be more competition for magnetic/hall effect keyboards

      I'm sure as time goes on, more brands will dip their toe into it!

      @Techtacula would you say that this low-profile keyboard is almost comparable to a hall effect keyboard (I'm assuming it takes less time to activate the switch)?

    So they planning to drop the black version soon?

      Hopefully! I don't think it will be too long until they drop a black version.

    Blue switch + black shell waiting room.
    I hope ROG starts copying Corsair and Razer in the MMO/moba mouse front, too.

      Noice XD
      I think it will only be a matter of time before they bring direct competition to the Naga and Scimitar. Although having used the new Scimitar Wireless it will be tough.
      Their current offerings in the ROG Spatha X seem decent, although I haven't used it. While it seems the button style is trying to be "edgy" I think it is also trying to provide easier navigation for finding buttons as well.
      Although I do think ASUS can do better after their recent peripheral releases.

    • @VarjoPira
      @VarjoPira Před 3 měsíci

      I prefer a more spread-out layout compared to Naga/Scimitar. It's just more competitive in faster-paced games. Spatha X has a good idea going, but it needs to be refined.
      Also, Asus if you're reading this, tilt wheel is mandatory in 2024. @@Techtacula

      @@Techtacula I couldn't wait to try this out, and I have to say, they nailed the linear switches. This feels really good to type on (and the typos disappear after a while), and even better to game on. Solid purchase all around. This is coming from someone who's traditionally hated the light feel and debounce on most traditional linear releases. Strikes that nice middle ground for me - there's a bit of tactility in there, and the spring back is quite close to optimal.
      I hope they update their MMO line soon, I wouldn't mind some of that ROG spice on my desk. That said, I feel like both Corsair AND Asus upped their peripheral game past the 2023 midway point. Competition is nice and all, eh!
      PS. For people after rapidfire trigger, when the actuation point is at 1.0, you really do not need the function at all. Unless you're aiming for e-sports in some select games. As an MMO and adventure/moba -type of gamer, I can't imagine needing switches that are faster than this. And I'm REALLY bloody good at the games I play.

      Which honestly is a decent price given this is a premium, high quality keyboard.

    I would love to see a 96% version of this keyboard like the ( ASUS ROG Strix Scope II 96 wireless) The reason for this: I love low profile keyboards, I game and work on the same keyboard ( I need a number pad ).
    I love that the new Asus low profile switches are actually low profile. Only what I would change is to put the charging socket to the far left like the ( NuPhy air96 v2) To have a cable far left look much nicer and when I game and charge the keyboard the cable is not on the way :-)

    • @Techtacula
      @Techtacula  Před 4 měsíci

      To get it as far left as you would be wanting, just wouldn't work with the multi-function button and the touch bar. While they could move the button, it would interfere with the ease of use of always finding the button without needing to feel around for it. So its a hard toss up but I agree. And I do hope with the release of this keyboard we see more good, low profile keyboards from ASUS too!
