I just love how Robert’s voice has matured over time. Really important to recognise that nothing stays the same for ever. Things just evolve over time - like a good wine!
Saw them last night in Chattanooga and it blew my mind. Seeing a legend that can still hit some pretty incredible notes . He’s 74 years old and it’s not 1969 people need to just shut up when they criticize.
Before I read the comments, my wife walked into the room. I told her that I did not think this would ever be a good combination but add the voice of a goddess to the voice of a god, it is incredible.
I also saw them at Mohegan Sun Arena in CT and it was such a thrill to be so close to this legend. His voice has aged so gracefully and he still can sing, you complainers are out of your mind to expect at his age to sing like he did in 1970! 99% of you criticizing never in your entire life can hold a note never mind sing like Robert. You must remember, this man once had a voice no one could come close to matching. He's a fucking LEGEND!!!
"Wow, what an incredible rendition of 'The Battle of Evermore'! Robert Plant and Alison Krauss truly brought their A-game to this performance. The chemistry between their voices is simply mesmerizing, creating a magical and haunting atmosphere. The way they effortlessly blend folk and rock elements is a testament to their musical talent and versatility. This is a performance that will linger in my mind for a long time. Kudos to both artists for delivering such a breathtaking rendition. 🎶🎵"
Simply awesome. A true rock legend realizing his vocal range has changed over the decades and brings in an amazing partner to complement what he has left. This is a tremendously updated arrangement of a solid Led Zeppelin hit.
Blown away by this duo and their rendition of Battle of Evermore. Just another bit of proof of Robert Plants musical genius and Alison Krause is the perfect partner here. Well done guys!
I just saw them in Birmingham, AL this past Saturday night (April 29, 2023). It was one of the greatest concerts I have ever seen. They played this, Rock n Roll and When The Levy Breaks from Led Zeppelin. A video is great to see but it cannot compare to seeing it live! Add to it, the MANY other songs they played, it was something I will never forget. I have been a fan of Alison Krauss and of course a Led Zeppelin/Robert Plant almost my entire life. Coupling them was complete genius. If you get a chance to see them on tour, no matter the price, you have to do it! They were beautiful together!
We were at Birmingham. Great show. I’ve been listening to Led Zeppelin since I was 16 and it was great to hear Battle of Evermore, When the Levee Breaks, and Rock and Roll with a bit of Kashmir all live. I also loved hearing Robert Plant and Alison Kraus perform their newer material.
@@MB-mw1xr They were absolutely amazing together! JD McPherson, their opener, also plays with their band. Outstanding guitarist! Best concert I have seen in a very long time. You will love it!
@@williamlehr2395 I've been a Led Zeppelin fan since their first album. They are one of the greatest influences of TRUE rock musicians. The Battle of Evermore by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss absolutely sounded just as good as the original Zeppelin version (IMO). When The Levy Breaks had me totally mesmerized. Who would have ever thought that a violin could have done so much! Their two albums together are almost always playing in my playlists. The latest album is simply amazing!
Very difficult piece of music, performed brilliantly and beautifully. Great to see Alison with a bit of grunge, since she's mastered perfection, and now soaring over all that has gone before.
This Union Works. This is great. There's alot here. They Harmonize Beautifully. The Mandolin we ith some tasty percussion do this song real well but different. Reinvented.
I had the fortune of seeing them 15 years ago on the Rising Sand tour. I thought “enjoy this collaboration. This may never happen again, and who knows how many years Robert Plant has left.” These motherfuckers still killing today. Amazing.
I first fell in love with seeing them together back in the day.. with their cover" if I were a carpenter " I'm grateful after all these years they still perform their magic together for us fans ❤
It really is amazing that Robert's voice has held up so well . Most classic rock singers (especially with what Plant belted out with Zeppelin) voices have been long gone.
I saw Led Zeppelin 3 times back in the 70’s. Amazing concerts! This duo today in 2023, Amazing! She compliments the highs he can’t hit anymore and are so powerful together.
Hearing this is such a memory of a 10th grader and the winter of 72 just after getting this lp for Christmas 71. I delivered newspapers and this lp got me out of bed on those cold winter mornings. Thank you.
Alison and Robert. Masters of their craft. They compliment each other's voices superbly. Every time I hear them sing this song, it just gets better every time to my ears!
Saw him in 19' at The Mann in Philly. Just him and his band and their songs. Then came 5 gifts. Then this. He rocked the roof of that place. Im so happy for both of them. Havin a blast. Drove to Ohio for Blossum Mus Ctr. Dang fire smoke.... Ill wait for next summer and pray to the god's goddess' and the Universe they stay healthy. She has Deshonys. I have it. Be impressed!! You have no clue the work shes done. Robert too. I think his surgery made his voice age better?? Im smiling!!!!! HUGE 😂❤
Just saw them in St Augustine last week. This song was a real highlight and the entire crowd was captivated. Sitting way in the back, it was quite a scene to see in the darkness just about every phone in the place light up at the start of this song.
The guy who filmed this must have been just to our left and a row or two in front of us. I was so happy they did this song. One of my favorite Zep songs. Well done.
Allison is such a respectful musician..She always stays in her lane. I wish people would appreciate musicians of all genres..Just so much more to 🫶 about all music
Thanks for posting this. Was never a huge Zeppelin fan but Alison has given this song such a perfection that Zeppelin composed when they wrote it. Alison Krauss & Union Station have been the Bluegrass bomb for decades.
I just love how Robert’s voice has matured over time. Really important to recognise that nothing stays the same for ever. Things just evolve over time - like a good wine!
You whiners try to realize that this is just great music. Period. Try to enjoy it while you can.

Ha ha. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
💯 agreed @ KKFI Manger
Amen. I kind of prefer his older voice. Much smoother and more consistent imho
There are whiners amongst us. No way , this is excellent.
Alison is an angel in the flesh...and Robert is a rock god. The two together are magic.
Absolutely, well said.
Yes yes yes!
I don't know about all that, but it was nice.
Buddy you called it

I thought Tiny Tim has a rough stab at it, though, ma'am... You're adorable in that hood.

Sir I red that comment three times and I have no idea 🤷🏻♀️ what you mean.
What hood? Tiny Tim???
I'm completely lost
Absolutely !

Talk about growing old graciously! Both of 'em.
The two harmonize beautifully! Plant still sings well and Allison Krausse hits the highs he may not be able to get to anymore.
Just wonderful music!
Ahhhhh… a fine pairing

Led Zeppelin didn't do hits
Roger Daltry? Right. And I'm Burt and Ernie.

Beyond description. Pure magic

Sounds even spacier now. Aged well like fine wine.
The Queen of Bluegrass and the Voice of Rock together. That's an amazing pairing.
I could listen to these two fantastic artists all day!!
Incredible
The guy in the crowd said it best. Beautiful. Nothing else to add.
Robert Plant's vocals are still.....chilling. He's a treasure
Alison's addition to the vocals on this song is PERFECT! Saw them in Memphis last weekend and loved every second of this show! Unforgettable
What a wonderful version of this song. Absolutely beautiful voices.
Saw them a few nights ago at Tanglewood. Alison takes this song to another level. She is a stunning talent.
Two of THE BEST voices in the world!! Beautiful voices and beautiful people! Ya'll are GREAT together!!
Was there that night. Fabulous!

I’ve seen him twice…beautiful man, gorgeous voice. They are fabulous together.
It really is amazing that Robert's voice has held up so well . Most classic rock singers (especially with what Plant belted out with Zeppelin) voices have been long gone.
He’s not trying to hit the crazy high notes from his youth. Keeping it in the pocket and letting his tone do the work. Phenomenal.
@@thearchivist250 Yes , no doubt.
I remember throat specialists back in 1970 or so saying he'd lose his voice in a few years because of his screaming.
We saw them in K.C. They put on a great show. this was one of our favorites as well.
