Bonnie is a terrible wife she was only with him for his looks and his ability before his accident he was a very athletic person and the minute that things went South for him she only stayed because she was stuck financially he was probably the best thing for her. She didn't care about him at all and she cheated on her multiple times, and he has already had problems with depression and Suicidal Thoughts I know that it was supposed to be funny for him to have a shity life but him and Meg where the most depressing parts of the show and honestly they are only not super depressing when you watch them have said little skits and show all of their depressing clips and honestly gets really sad how they were both treated. They should have had one part where when he actually got his legs back he left Bonnie realizing she was a skank

Joe turned into a huge douchebag and started ditching Peter, Cleveland, and Quagmire to go hang out with his gym and fitness buddies and do "cool stuff." The last straw for everyone in the neighborhood was when he decided to leave Bonnie and his kids because he felt he was out of her league and she was holding him back. Originally it was Peter and the gang that planned to re-paralyze him, but they failed. Bonnie finished the job, but she kept missing the shot, so Joe finally just shot his own spine.
