- Dale heads back to the Derbyshire town of Ilkeston for a mammoth attempt at taking on the entire town's pubs in one day... managing a whopping 24 before time ran out haha!
Join me for a look around the town and inside and out of all of the town's pubs! Video features a whole cast of local characters who are some of the best people I've met on this crazy journey!
Crikey, I used to drink in all of these pubs, but knew some of them by different names. The Dewdrop was called the Middleton Hotel. The Glass Pilla used to be called the Ancient Druids. I remember the Stanton Cask when it used to be a car spares shop. The Durham Ox was the meet up place when I’d just left school ( 1974) Great memories 😉😉
Did a crawl through Ilkeston a couple years ago and loved it. Nice to see inside the ones we didn't include as we weren't as ambitious with the number of pubs 😂
You can literally see when the cotton bomb hits you 😂 they are lethal and mr cottons a bogger for them! Glad you enjoyed our town its not all bad x

I go to ilkeston in the week before I head of to long Eaton Legs wine bar not open in the week every day when I walk past to the pubs on the square
