Check out Fsc trucking on CZcams!! Thanks so much for the help brother.. Definitely give Fox Valley a call that place is amazing!!
I will definitely be checking it out. Great video!
hey Tim I just wanted to say I love your video's and I also watch fsc trucking every time I get a chance
Im not trolling or bitching and complaining just to be complaining. But, I think you mentioned getting a new camera set up a while back. You or your videographer and or editor need to tweak the camera settings, or adjust them in the editing program. It’s still the same good content, but the picture seems to be over or under exposed. The automatic setting should compensate for that if you don’t have the time. I do understand editing videos can be time consuming; I spent over 30 hours on one before I quit. Keep up the good work.
We're they out of?
Back in 96 I went to Schneider’s school up in Green Bay. They had a huge skid pad to practice inclement weather driving. It was an experience learning to (try) control an International cab over in various skids.
Get yourself a label maker and put a sticker on your camera that says "Check camera settings"
Not a bad idea get a brother P-touch they work amazing for making labels it’s very straightforward and easy to use.
Yeah, or go back to the iPhone. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it lol
Completely agree. It’s not like a fancy camera is better anyway. 1080 is 1080
Ugh the white balance of this whole video hurt my eyes
@@dylan818 uh, he uses an iPhone 13 Pro… 🙄
It was awesome to have you up in our neck of the woods! We definitely need to do more collaborations in the future. Always a blast to hang out with Tim Gentry and crew! Too bad Braxton couldn't have came with ya!
You and Tim are my top 2 favorite CZcamsrs. Y’all are gonna have to fight for first place, or flip a coin to be number one, in my book. 😉 I would love to meet you one day, Steve just because of your Peterbilt. Sorry Tim. Lmao
I graduated from that school in the diesel program and also worked on all of those trucks. That fleet was taken care of very well. I worked with Pete and Brad there in the video. Great guys to work with
If its ok to ask, what did it cost to attend that school? Looks like could be a good program.
For the 2 year program I went through it was right around 15k
@@nicholismork9670 does that include all books and miscellaneous fees?
I started with Roehl transport in 02. They sent us there for skid pad training. I do believe it saved me from a jackknife one night on I-94. That truck you bought was a Roehl truck. I remember the stripes.
Roehl has it so u have to touch the brakes to turn on the jake. It will turn off after 5 minutes without being idled up too.
I really enjoy watching the olny two truck drivers that I watch, collaborating together. Have a great day and safe traveling.
Steve is amazing! Definitely not a steering wheel holder
I am an old school driver did not go to school my dad taught me how to drive truck when I was 14 got my special chauffeurs license when I was 19 because in Tennessee you you can drive in state at 18 and was grandfathered in when the cdl’s came about I didn’t have to take the road test just the written but I am retired now put in 37 years beating down the road yes I miss it didn’t think I would but these videos keep me going thanks guys keep it up 👍 👍👍👍👍
I had the privilege of spending two weeks with this organization in the late 90’s with the CDL train the trainer program representing the Commonwealth of Virginia DMV. An experience I will never forget. Great video! Thanks!
two of my favorite hard working truckers in the same video - awesome!
Tim, you ought to consider sending your younger brother up there for some classes. Maybe send him up to learn about the disc brakes. It would be a little time away for him, but worth the investment.
@George Jones I would love to see you pp a pin out flip a cover off and insert a new set of pads on a typical cars break system, like he showed. Then again there would be the differences between the ABS systems and the various different air versus hydraulic parts in the actuation system, so yes in the big picture, they are similar, not identical. Tim has far more experience than Devin, yet he has apprehension about disc brakes. Throw in Tim's admiration and wishing for a school like that when he was just starting out and that is why I believe sending him to that school or another closer by to get some in depth training would be a solid investment in his business and his brother.
I'm so glad to see the very few trucking schools that still have skid pads, wish some of these trucking company schools would still practice this form for truckers.
I remember my dad talking about his experience when driving for North American Van Lines back in the 90s on the pads.
Wanna drive truck myself and be out or with my family that drives, just so hard who to pick, companies that still use manual trans not autos, and other sources/etc.
Really enjoy learning an seeing u go beyond the channel to reach out an help others learn about Trucking, places to possible start, behind the scenes of what ppl don't see in the trucking world, helping others with info or directions to where to start, etc!! Hopefully I'll figure out my journey to drive as I been wanting to my whole life bc truly one thing I kno but haven't gotten out there
This video reminded me of everything I love and miss about the industry. In fact, I got emotional watching every angle of the cabover, as I learned and started in my stepfathers same cabover. This entire video brought back a lot of memories from the 26 years I spent driving. Thank you sincerely for this video !!
Man,Can you imagine running team in one of those little boogers. I ran one team load from Mi. to San Diego in my career before retiring.I had just came in from a single run and was out of hours for the day. Boss said he had experience all I had to do was hit the bunk and check and watch him. We made it down to Ft.Wayne. I woke up as he was pulling into a truckstop. 75 miles off the route. He said he was tired and I had to take over the last 9 hours. Got the load delivered on time and he was done as soon as we could get to another terminal.
Best video in a long time, glad the truck worked out but you also showcased a way for people to become safe, knowledgeable, members of the industry that made you!!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Those cabovers beat you to death!
Last time I got out of a cab over I swore I would never get back in another one. The joke about the cabover used to be that if you ever got involved in an accident you were always the first one on the scene.
Because of how close you were to the front of the truck.
I 2nd that,as I spent 3 weeks in a cabover as a youngster…My step grandfather drover an old beat to death International Cabover for North American…Although I had the time of my life, riding shotgun was nerve wreaking…Especially bobtail, I thought for sure she was going to flip forward every bump we hit…
Great video! Awesome to see you and Steve in another video! Your first video with him is actually how I found out about his channel. Looking forward to the next one!
Man I always watch both of your videos I never miss one love the trucks good stuff brother
Hey Tim, nice Job on buying the trucks. You and FSC are hard working guys and I enjoy watching your videos!!! Thank You!!!!
Hi Tim I’ve been following your channel for awhile and I love the trucking industry! It’s been awhile since I self drove but have a big family and decided to stay around the house and work in a shop. My retirement plan is to be an owner operator with my wife once our youngest leaves the nest with a truck I build and owe nothing on when that time comes!
Tim say cool a couple more times. You have champagne taste on a beer budget
Always excited to see a new video from our homeboy Tim. Love it!!!
Awsome to see 2 competitive companies together helping each other out
This school has it all !! Real nice . They know what they are doing.
Congratulations on your new aquisition and may you be blessed in all your endeavors. Good luck on buying that other truck.
I watch you and FSC all the time. Wish I knew you were going to be up here in cheese land, would have drove over and bought you guys lunch... Aside from the brutal winters, and the associated rust, Wi has some pretty damn good schools.
LOVE STEVE AND ORVILLE, HE'S A CHARACTER!!!!!!!!
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
Tim you guys are truly spoilt here in Australia we are limited at 100kmh single and B DOUBLE Road trains are 90kmh so suck it up mate haha
But nice truck you got
Cheers Kym
Adelaide
I thought we had bad rust problems in Cornwall uk, but this is whole different level
He’s good at buying junk
Yes Sir, I seen the Pete a few months ago at VIG in Portsmouth VA. And yes, videos do not do that Pete justice. It is really a nice C.OE. for sure!
Awesome video Mr Gentry thanks for having a channel that goes into every aspect of the trucking industry no one is running a channel like yours and I tend to only watch yours because if you made it good on something’s you post it but if you fail on something you post it too I not far away I am in lake Tansi south of Crossville maybe if it’s ok with you I could drop in and say hi one day well bye for now keep up the good work man 👍
Yes, it's FSC Steve!!!! This is awesome Tim!!!!
Now that's a great place to learn about all kinds of trucks .thanks for showing us the shop.
I can’t believe that you started that without shaking the stick
Thanks Tim for showcasing what looks like a great school. I was 21 when I went to a trucking school in NC that is now debunk but they operate schools in Tampa and Tennessee near Alcoa. It was a 4 week program and it worked for me since I'm a fast learner but I could tell the lower half of the class was being rushed. I also learned so much about the industry with my first company a mega carrier, went to a smaller outfit, and now a local tanker driver loving going to work every day and being paid properly.
Fix your camera bro, you’re hurting my eyes. LOL! 😂😂😂
What a superb facility. Awesome!! Nice truck Tim. You got a bargain there.
Wow! Great shop tour. Great to see you hanging out with Steve FSC
GREAT VIDEO MAN REAL COOL TRUCKERS IN THAT SCHOOL TEACHING YOUNGINS ABOUT TRUCKIN
600hp Detroit has nothing on a 550 cat or Cummins. When you pull 68tonne plus or 250 tonne road trains Detroit doesn’t cut the mustard. Come to Australia Tim you would love having a go at the big lorries.
fantastic presentation matey
so happy that it was a genuine purchase
and what a facility
wow
@Gentry&Sons be a good place to send your boy when he gets old enough..
Sounds like you'll be jealous of Brax when he goes to school out there in a couple of years. Nice truck to add to the fleet, possibly a good place to find replacements to upgrade to a newer truck for your fleet for years to come
I enjoyed the discussion with the diesel tech instructor. Seems like a solid guy.
WELL HELL YEAH DRIV,AH,YOU CAN DEFINITELY TELL STEVE FEZCHECK IS A TRUE TRUCKER LOOK AT HIS HAND 13.10 IT STAYS IN THE SHIFTING POSITION AWESOME
It reminds me of auto tech. Had to learn brakes, suspension, engine, electrical, rear and 4x4. I still work on cars and trucks quite often. Plus my teacher was on old school.
Steve’s truck is great. Everything you need and nothing you don’t.
New truck looks nice mate hope it works as good as it looks for us hi from Tasmania
i have driven 31 years out west you ladys have a lot to learn out east
i would love to run gentry boys on hills in colorado not 70 or 80 or iny of that bullshit his trucks would take a shit
LoL his trucks run all over the country
Hey Tim...Send Brax to that school when he is at age..Just a thought... Love the video...Keep them coming..Nice to see FSC Trucking in it also.
Hey Tim I definitely want to get in the trucking industry it my dream job to drive and see the rest of the United States thanks for showing all of us the school
Great video, Tim. Good luck with the freight liner.
Steve's motor sounds good and runs awesome because it's a CAT Motor!!!
What blew me away was seeing the brake board that actually worked and sounded like the airbrakes on a semi truck. It seems to me a school like that really cares about getting good safe drivers out on the road at their own pace.
love watching your vids, your positivity and faith are awesome, thank yuo. one thing, please please fix the white balance on your camera, its always all blown out
Nice truck Tim very nice school appreciate you sharing this video buddy 👍
love the vid but put the camera on whitebalance on auto and get a polarise filter keep up the great work tim
I own 2, 2005 freightliner with 14.7 in them deleted and they’re bullet proof…love them 🇺🇸✝️🙏🏼💙🚛
FSC!!! Love his COE. Those orange Snap-on tool carts 😢 so many of them would love couple more.
That school is 20 plus years late. What a awesome school to have around.
Haha Tim! You've taken the over-exposure to the next level with this! You *need* to get on top of those camera settings man XD
Man that's awesome. Good looking ride. Make that Columbia the twin the classic Yiu just finishing up. Now that's something that would nice.
I’m not much older than you and I went to CDL school at a local technical college. Learned in an International Fleetstar day cab with the back window painted black for backing and an an FLD on the road.
Yes you met FSC. The Wisconsin man, love it. I follow both of you.
Disc breaks are the way to go. It takes longer to knock the wheels off than to do the breaks
Well I just found out we are screwed on Steve changing that damn rusty wheel!! 🤣
Awesome, amazing, gorgeous, facility’s .
This place I drive by weekly. Very nice place and great school.
Those freightliner where painted with Imron paint. dodge viper elite red. Really good buff an good wax will remove the haze its got.
We can see where Braxton is going to school!
A very good video well worth the look .educational..
Looking at the truck he bought. Looking at the old stripes it looks to be an old Roehl Transport truck
Hi Tim my dad did the same to me while I was still learning he grabbed the trailer break to stop me from jackknifing our semi I knew to do so just froze up the first time I needed to do it not long after that I was allowed by my father to drive on my own and never had an accident in my 13 years of driving a semi. I drove from 1976 till 1989 only reason I stopped was do to injuries to my knees, right ankle and back when I fell through a trailer floor where the wood was bad and the company made me use the trailer anyway until they had time to fix it. After the fall they fixed it in 2 days and I was out on workman's comp till I was able to go back to work 1993 but was not able to drive semi's any more I could not pass the physical. That training center is awesome wish I had went to school at a center like that one I didn't go to school I was trained by my father back in the day before you needed a CDL only a class A licenses.
Great Video Tim! For what you got from the content to the cost. I’d say Scam Me Harder! 😂👍Shout out to FSC Trucking Too!
I went to Smith and Solomon in NJ. As I assume you have as well. I was fortunate to get hired by a Co who I actually ended up teaming with my trainer in his own W900 KW. And we were together for 3 years. Then I bought my own Western Star and never looked back. I was 1 of thousands who made it through a really bad school and succeeded in this industry.
Unplug the speed sensor to get you home. Buy a cheap GPS. Your only governed if the ECM knows how fast you are running. Unplug Speed sensor. Wide open you are. That’s a old trick the automatic truck drivers can’t use
Just found your channel. Great content. Bravo!
Steve and Orwell, love fsc channel
Man great video !! Very educational !!!!
Love 💕 it may buy my own and drive again
Alot nicer school than i went to for diesel tech. the brake system setup was super cool. Shoulda had them turn up the limiter at the school.
Good looking trucks good job Tim
From Wisconsin, I live an hour from this place the skid pad was a ton of fun when I got my cdl
I learned how to drive when my dad hand me the keys and said be careful don't pass the scales and always find you a gear that you want to be in going up hill and down hill and don't pick up hitch hikers i was 16
Definitely need to edit the video and change the color/ white balance settings Tim. Other than that you videos are ALWAYS informative and enjoyable.
Tim surely you didn't think they would let a student driver open up a truck and roll !
Cab overs are by far the best trucks
Definitely some clean trucks and awesome school
Have yet to see you finish one project, and your buying more projects. It's not my yt channel but damn man.
I got my cdl at that school back in 2016 with roehl transport I liked the training
Hey Tim, I can tell you at one point that truck you bought was owned by Roehl Transport out of Marshfield Wisconsin. The outlines in the paint are a dead giveaway
bless up Steve way to go one help the other
I tell ya in the area I live and what I haul my favorite set up is a 350 4 valve Mack with a 13speed Eaton and 5:88 60 bogey Mack rears tough set up with 60 ton of coal on its back
Good ole Steve. Definitely another CZcamsr I’d love to meet just because of Orwell. Sorry Tim. 😂🤣
Might be a good school to send your little brother even your son when the time comes.
From what I can tell I would try to find a good person that is a good buffer. Start with a good cutting polish and finish with swirl remover. It will surprise you.
Hell I remember when I went thru Schneider truck school and we had to go to Green Bay and due the skid pad and it was fun had to do bobtail and truck / trailer was the best experience I had
Nice truck you bought Tim but i love cab overs. Orwell is awesome.
Please figure out the lighting thing with the cameras. Other thann that awesosme video. Congrats on the new to yall truck!
Nice dang near in my back yard lol first and foremost as long as you were in Wisconsin I hope the heck you got some cheeses curds!!!! that is a first rate school!! Used to deliver to the truck shop when I drove.
