- Filmed in Atlanta, Georgia on top of Stone Mountain, "Open Spaces" is the title track to my 8th album (2013 Best Piano Album Nominee, ZMR). It is all about "exploring wide open spaces" in life, faith, love, grace, truth, forgiveness, generosity, music and more. This track features four acclaimed guest artists, including two Grammy winners (Eugene Friesen - Cello, and Jeff Haynes - Percussion) and the first chair French horn from the Boston Pops Symphony (Gus Sebring). The inspiration is from Psalm 119:41-48 (The Message) and the words "Let your love, God, shape my life...And I'll stride freely through wide open spaces as I look for your truth and your wisdom..."

Soundscape music choice on TV is really the best to just hear the soothing music where thank goodness I regonized on what this song is called on my phone where for now on when things are going really bad, I will listen to this and other parts of that channel. Sweet sound!

Thank you for your wonderful, soul-nourishing music. I discovered it on DirecTV's New Age and Soundscapes music channels (where my favs include Karen Marie Garrett, Kevin Kern, and Kathryn Kaye). But a great additional blessing for me is that you draw your inspiration from a deep well of Christian spirituality. In the Open Spaces video, you look disconcertingly like Arthur C. Clarke. I loved his science fiction and he was a huge influence on me when I was young. Fortunately one other English writer was an even greater influence: C.S. Lewis. Anyway, thank you for your blessed music.

The Lord inspired me to compose Scripture inspired piano and instrumental music twenty-three years ago. "Open Spaces" is special to me because the music is expressing the wonder and adventure of walking with God found in Psalm 119:45, "And I’ll stride freely through wide open spaces as I look for your truth and your wisdom..."
