- Short version of those wanting to get I to air ride suspensions but, don't know where to start. In this video I cover each individual part, it's function, how it's energized, it's plumbing, and it's purpose. This isn't some super technical in depth "how's it work" video, just a basic guide for the beginner in understanding how it all works.

I have a question so I don't need airlines going inside the cab for the air presure gage along ass I have a sending unit from each solenoid. And a sending unit into the tank sorry I'm trying to understand the system.
Which way do the arrows face..are they always facing down acting as theyre closed?.

Yes. You would just have air struts in place of your springs/struts.
I just bought a Cadillac deville not knowing anything about air suspension the car stays locked up when I press the lower bottom I hear the switch going but car won’t go down
❤❤❤ I have 4 VIAIR air compressors going to a 2 1/2 gallon tank. It doesn’t take that long to fill it. I’ve just got a find a better hose that goes from the air take to the air gauge. It seems like I have a leak in the system I’ve got a find a better airlines and better fittings. ❤❤❤. YES I SAID 4 VIAIR air compressors just for airhorns 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Yes. Works on the same exact principles. Only difference is the block takes place of all those t fittings between the valves.

my avs fast valve is only goin down, it was going real slow now it stopped. i just out a rebuild kit in it. any ideas
how do you control the speed or rate of drop?
The ball valves on the end of the release solenoids. (Red handles) for drop speed. This was with 1/2" line tho. 1/4" is slow enough on its own. I wanted quick lift, and slow drop for road hazard avoidance.
What kind of solinoids are those??
is it same selenoid to fill and dump? u jus connect them with a T between?
I have the same set up. I'm just running into electrical issues. My 200a fuse to the battery keeps blowing out. Maybe a grounding issue. I do have a 120a kill switch fuse too that might need replacing.
I had a compressor burn out and do that. Really shouldn't need more than 150a on dual comps

How do I hook a switch up to my solenoids
The same way you would hook up any other switched 12v accessory. You can ground the solinoid at it's location and run 12v through a switch to the solinoid, or you can power the solinoid, and run the switch by way of ground.
Where do you get the power and ground for each valve ?
Depends on how you wire it. Each solinoid needs to see a ground, and a 12v. I personally ground mine to their casing, and just wire the 12v to the switch box. You can pull a fused 12v from anywhere in the car.

Where ever you can purchase SMC style solinoid valves. Hate to say it, but eBay has em.
What kind of air dumps are those? Or are all air dumps configured about the same?

What’s the object on top your “Tee”? It looks like another valve or solenoid. I just bought tees and have virtually the same open/close solenoids you have but that middle thing is not something I’ve seen. Please let me know if possible.

What's your opinion or advice regarding an emergency/safety pressure relief valve for each bag?
@@JU57US considering most quality bags are rated at 600psi, and most pressure switches are limited below 220psi. You'll never be close to bursting a bag via pressure, only abrasion.
@@4agshoob I was searching and searching for the pressures that my bags were rated to and found that info very hard to pinpoint. I was thinking at least over 300 psi, and therefore came to the same conclusion. Thanks for confirming it for me! It makes sense to have a single emergency relief valve for the tank and leave it at that.
@@JU57US bags are incredibly efficient in weight bearing. It's not so much pressure, as it is volume that determines everything- eg: it may take 70psi to lift 1500lbs on a 2500 series bag. Put a 2800 in place of that 2500, and now you lift that 1500lbs, with 25-30 psi, but requires more volume. Compact builds, can operate on higher pressures, and smaller bags/tanks. Larger bags= bigger tank= more compressors for volume.
@@JU57US in saying that, unless you are using a bag in some type of machining operation or in air hopping competitions, there's absolutely no reason any vehicle shouldn't see full lift at 120psi, unless the bag is too small for the weight application.
@@JU57US my specific application, s10's are front heavy. You're also limited in circumference room for the bag itself.
I used 2500 bags (V6) MMW arms, and thorbeck 2" upper bag cups. On 20's I don't begin to lift until I hit 60lbs. Ride height is 80psi front. Rear bags are 2600s. Rear full lift is 40 psi. Ride height 15ish. In doing this, with shorter cups, the bag now uses volume + pressure to offer a stiffer 'spring' effect, than if I were to use 3" upper bag cups. Yes, I could swap, and then probably lift at 40, and ride at 60, like being on a cloud. Trucks have horrible front dive and lean when a sway bar can not be applicated up front. I wanted to eliminate that as much as possible, in turn- allowing the bag, to hold more volume, via psi, because of its compact application.
what size lines?
Those were 1/2" at the time. A little too fast for the smooth operation of the truck.

@@65ondubz at first I put 3/8 ball valves on my dump valves to slow the flow on airing out, but it was still crazy fast. I've switched up to 3/8 calves and 1/4 lines now, and much more pleasant and predictable.

How do I wire up the pressure switch and cut off switch
The pressure switch is the cutoff switch in the system design. Basically, you'll run a power wire to a switch in the dash from the battery or power source. Leaving that switch you'll go to the pressure switch on the tank. (Pressure switch has 2 prongs) leave the pressure switch, going to the relay you're using to activate your compressors.
