1. You can use cauldrons to craft Tipped arrows you just put tge potions in and left click the arrows
2. You can use water in the nether with the help of cauldrons i ussualy use it for Blazes.

You can waterlog hoppers and do this too. And because it's a block like chests and shulkers, only the water renders to anyone looking down at it. So ppl may jump down willingly.
