Upwork’s study of the U.S. independent #workforce is here, revealing 59 million Americans freelanced even amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This increase was fueled in part by an influx of younger, highly-skilled professionals seeking alternatives to traditional employment: Agility. Flexibility. Scalability.
This year’s study found 36% of the U.S. workforce freelanced over the past 12 months and highlights the ways freelancers have become a critical part of business today.
