i recently played this song at my daughters funeral, the words are so full of meaning and said everything i wanted to say with out it being to depressing for a childs funeral. thansk for posting this never seen her singing it live before
I remember seeing her do a live set at the Virgin Megastore in London and this was one of the songs she performed. It was the week of the release of "Affirmation" She came and met everyone afterwards and I got my CD signed. That is a wonderful memory.
Once you know the reasons that this song is special to her and why she wrote it you can't even think about it without bursting into tears.... What a SuperWoman!
@Nicki141 I love Erykah but don't put her in the same category with Beverley Knight. I'm a Yankee but I don't know of anyone in the industry that can touch this woman at this point in time. Beverley Knight is a BEAST of a performer!
